Ending this Veterans day on a delicious note. The triple tail is very good. Similar to red snapper and grouper. I feel it is just a tad bit better tasting and the texture has a better mouth feel. Stopped in for dinner after hearing a friend's recommendation. Very disappointed... Beautiful dock side venue for an evening on the bay. The food however was terrible. We started with calamari... tasteless... absolutely bland and very small. For entrees we ordered fried fish, shrimp and blacked swai. Everything needed seasoning, sauce or something to give it taste. Saved this local place for our final break dinner and came away a bit disappointed. We were a party of three and arrived just in time for the sunset to work it's wonders and provide us with a spectacular view. We were seated about 25 minutes later, ready for a good meal. Every restaurant has their twist on the dish as this one had their own. Shrimp n grits at Sunset Grille comes either fried, grilled or blackened over cheese grits with an étouffée topping. I ordered blackened as suggested with sauce on the side. The shrimp were decently flavored, but the grits were bland and adding the étouffée didn't kick it up, but only added an odd flavor for my taste. Since I am use to a more traditional preparing of the dish, this one was not my favorite and a little pricey for paper bowls and small portion. We thought they had air conditioning so we were very surprised that it was so hot "inside". We were seated outside where there was a breeze and the view was lovely. Some of the food was disappointing for the price we paid. Daughter got scrimp scampi and the serving was very tiny for the price. Granddaughter got chicken fingers and a salad which you can see from the pictures was plentiful. Shrimp and fries were good. The parking here is fairly adequate as I didn't have difficulty finding a spot with the reasonable crowd that they had.   My family & I ordered the grouper bites in calamari they were quite excellent fried to perfection as the grouper bites were nice hot flaky and moist on the inside with a nice golden brown crispy outside that had the most perfect seasoning to it I wouldn't change a thing. Fried calamari is battered with excellence as it had that nice crumbly outside with a tasty, chewy texture that was to die for the edition of adding lemon to it adds an extra zing. Best apps. I've had on vacation yet. Be sure to check out their full bar with a great selection of drink a mixologist who'll make you up a great Bushwacker Alabama Slammer & other favourites or serve up your favourite classic cocktail or a cold one.    Their service here is very adequate in Hospitality being very attentive to their customers with friendly smiling faces & a wonderful attitude. Making sure we had our drinks kept filled & our orders were taken promptly.
