    Cheese curds appetizers

Best food we've had during our week long stay in Perdido Key. Beautiful setting, especially at sunset (thankful for the large fans!) We are a largest party and were seated relatively quickly. Kids meal options were on par with kid favs and priced very well. We enjoyed appetizers and delicious food including steamed shrimp (Wowsers), Swai (fried, blackened, and baked), trigger fish aka unicorn, grilled shrimp, blackened chicken, fried pickles, cheese curds, and more. The kids meals included mini corn dogs and grilled cheese on homemade sourdough. The food was excellent, prices reasonable, and good portions.

Talk about a gorgeous view while enjoying a delicious meal. We drove our vehicle by land while others arrived by boat and docked along their pier out back. Arrived in time to watch the sun set over the water. Very accommodating staff that helped to satisfy all our needs. Reasonable food portions were served for each menu item. Definitely a favorite of all ages in attendance. Highly recommended by the Locals for good reason.

Best meal we had the whole week at the beach! Hidden gem. We loved our time at Sunset Grille! We were seated with no wait. They didn't have any kids coloring sheets but they found some blank paper and crayons and our kids went to town playing. Bonus is the playground fully fenced in right outside of one of the patios. GUYS, the SMOKED TUNA DIP is incredible. SO GOOD! If you only try one thing, just try it. We also got crab claws and they were the best ones of our whole trip. My dad ordered the Swai Po-Boy, and he said it was a good mild flaky fish. We had never heard of it before. The table ended up ordering mahi, oyster, and shrimp po-boys. Normally my camera eats first, but we were all hungry and I only got a couple pictures. Maybe the next time we're there I'll grab some more! We will be back, for sure!

5 years later. Still the best place to eat and enjoy the sunset.

Tom, you did it again. Best wait staff, outstanding Trigger fish, and what a view for Father's Day. Thank you for keeping your high standards on food and service. Great meal.

Amazing sunset food and service all in one I could sit there all day admiring the views and enjoying the breeze The food is delicious We ordered gumbo so satisfying and split a scallop po boy I could eat something new everyday Great selection of food and drinks

Sunset Grille is right on the dock at Perdido Key Bay, next to a marina with a view of small islands and boats. The atmosphere is casual and the decor coastal. Our meals were tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed the large salad with grilled scallops which were seasoned well and delicious. My husband had the grouper basket with onion rings. He gave it the thumbs up. Very good. Servers were friendly and prompt. They ensured our dining experience was a good one. I highly recommend Sunset Grille.

Ok, the view here is amazing. If they can get the service (management) squared away the reviews would improve. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday, the place looked busy but, all tables not seated, maybe short handed. We were told 5 minutes, and it was accurate. We were seated and at our table for nearly 10 minutes before our waitress showed up. Meanwhile, two different waitresses were working tables on either side of us. I am guessing, no assigned sections. I watched our waitress take care of tables all over the restaurant. This seemed to cause them all to work with their feet with single task after single task in a linear fashion. Chaotic, is how this is best described and how errors can and did happen. By the time she arrived for our drink order, we were ready to also order apps and entrees. We ordered beer and wine with a cup of gumbo. I ordered the grouper blackened with a onion rings and a cucumber salad. She had the grilled grouper with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. No, gumbo appetizer came out and our meals arrived. I told the expeditor who brought our food to just take it off the check since our meals are already here, she apologized. Next our waitress brought the gumbo in a to go bag, to which I replied, I can not take that with me as we are on our boat and please just take it off my check. She complied and apologized. The fish on both plates was perfectly cooked with great flavor. The cucumber salad and onion rings tasted great. However, her coleslaw was not tasty and the sweet potato fries were soggy, but good flavor. I hope the restaurant reads this review and understands the service issues are a guidance or managment issue. Everyone one was very friendly and were genuinly apologetic about the errors. Since this place is in a marina, there appeared to be plenty of parking. Again, the view is amazing and likely saved them a star on this review.

Would there be options for gluten-free on the menu?

Annmarie: Thank you for asking. We have a small "Allergen Free" section on our latest menu. It identifies items that are prepared in a dedicated preparation area without peanuts, tree nuts, soy, seafood, milk, wheat, or sesame. Items in that…

Joyce: Yes, it is. We have frequent (and some regular) wheelchair customers. If you need help, just let us know. Very best.

The biggest surprise was being charged $41 for a 1/2-pound order of basic crab claws as an appetizer. When we politely asked about the price because it seemed unusually high, instead of receiving a simple explanation, we felt we were treated disrespectfully. The response came across as dismissive, with comments that made us feel looked down upon for asking about our bill. Between the average food, unfriendly service, and what we felt were excessive prices, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

This joint is an all outdoor patio seating all the time joint covered with a tent so be prepared if you can't handle it to go somewhere else. The also have a beach area on the Ole River which has some picnic tables. If there is space you can pull your boat up and dock right next to the restaurant. The service here is far better at Flora-Bama Yacht Club than next door at Flora-Bama Ole River Grill. This place is really popular so there is often a wait to get seated at a table while bar seating is open but that can also fill up fast during high season. They have a concise menu here that focuses on seafood and sandwiches along with a few out of the ordinary surprises that you usually don't find in most of the other area restaurants. I've had the Mahi-Mahi Reuben which was alright but I think I would've preferred one of the fish entrees much more. The fried seafood ranges from some of the spiciest and best tasting I've ever had to more bland so that is inconsistent. Of late the fried seafood options have really DECLINED with zero spice and they have stopped offering oysters on the menu. The fried chicken tenders have declined to the point they are simply awful now and have zero flavor. My favorite things on the menu here would be the Triple-Tail on top of a bed of green beans and then they have the BEST chocolate cake in the area with their Double-Decker Tuxedo Cake (don't bother with the cake next door at Flora-Bama Ole River Grill as it doesn't compare to this one). The burger here could stand some improvement as I like a New Orleans style big and thick patty that is full of juicy delicious beef flavor. They also have a gift shop here that carries some merchandise that they don't have across the street in the original Flora-Bama gift shop and some of the Yacht Club merch is also not listed on the main Flora-Bama online website while some of it is so you really have to visit the Yacht Club gift shop to see the full selection. Some Flora-Bama shirts have "Flora-Bama" in a large print then have a smaller different logo underneath for the three main spots of the original Flora-Bama, Yacht Club and Ole River Grill. None of the shops in the area carry the little round batteries you need if your car remote dies... don't ask me how I know as it was a painful experience. Overall Flora-Bama Yacht Club has been one of my favorite spots to grab a meal in the area and its a perfect location to eat before heading over for the live music at the original Flora-Bama. The recent decline in the food this season is concerning to me. Flora-Bama continues on its conquest of Perdido Key and the rest of the Redneck Riviera so I fully expect them to take over the region soon and then we can have Flora-Bama World... well somebody should probably write a song about that at least.
