This is what a Waffle House should be, good, friendly and clean. After years of watching Waffle House "fights" on the Web I finally got a chance to try one. Nothing spectacular but just a good dinner with good service and good breakfast food. Employees were friendly and efficient and were cleaning when not helping customers. Every one that works at this Waffle House is nice and wonderful. Their chocolate milk is delightful and all of their food amazing.

The four of us went for breakfast at this Waffle House. It is one of the smaller ones, but the staff is very friendly and take good care of you. Great place for a classic diner breakfast, no matter what time of day. I just wish there were more locations in Texas, especially College Station...I mean, Texas A&M has been in the SEC for 9 years now! Joined my parents for breakfast one morning. I love Waffle House, always have and this location didn't let me down. The services was friendly and fast, food was delicious, and price was right. I got my standard which was a waffle and some bacon. I added an order of biscuits and gravy to split with the party to see how they tasted since I hadn't seen that item before. Three years ago, I mentioned how this WH was a miss. At the time, they took other people's orders even though we sat first. They sort of messed up out t order then...Anyway, so three years later, I'm still not impressed. Since then, I've noticed that they get slammed around late breakfast/early lunch and sometines don't answer the phone if you want to call in an order. If you go in to put a carryout order, they may take a while to take your order....also may take a while to check you out. I guess in a nutshell, they're just slow here...still a miss. We don't frequent waffle houses, but that will certainly change after the night we just had! Emmy and Ian are the dynamic duo, that waffle was fluffier than a poodle blown out with a hair dryer. The chocolate chips I swear on all things holy were handmade by Willy wonka himself. The fresh brewed coffee had my wife's gerd fired up like old faithful, burping like shrek in a swamp all alone. Very small location but extremely friendly staff! Only 6 booths, but plenty of single chairs. There were more than 10 people working and the service was great. Selected the AllStar breakfast. Bacon was over cooked, but that's my only complaint. The guys on the grill were amazing. They are truly good at their craft. The waitstaff was on point and always checking on us. Several people came by for takeout and seemed happy about their service as well. Location was clean as well!! read more

I usually like Waffle House, and the food was good here, as usual. But there were a few things that bothered me at this location. One was how dirty the windows were. When you sit at the window seat and see dirt crusted on the outside, it does something to your appetite. The restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. The thing that got me the most was when I walked in with a couple of my gay friends and was greated by our server with the comment about her gaydar going off. It was very rude and disrespectful. Not to mention loud. I won't mention her name on here, but she needs a little sensitivity training. I live nearby, but i have no plans on going back to that location. read more

This chain is not known for an elaborate selection of menu items but they know how to quickly put their diner-esque out for customers. They know the basics of breakfast and that works for me on certain occasions. This morning was one of those days where I didn't need fancy and the 2 Egg Breakfast with bacon did what I needed it to. Great, fast service and it was honestly the best all star special I've ever had (been to hundreds of waffle houses too). Our waitress was eating her dinner at the same time as ours, but I didn't see that as a problem because she's working hard and needs to eat too. This particular Waffle House is my favorite :). Really friendly staff; It's almost like home...I typically have an egg white omelette w/ all the veggies & a chx breast. Can I put negative stars? As soon as we got there, we were greeted at the door. Awesome. Sat down, waited. Went to wash my hands, came back. No one came by the table yet. Looked at the menu, about 5 minutes later another table came in and sat right next to ours. They got to order first and we still hadn't even been spoken to... Positive experience. They were very busy when we came in. Took less than 5 minutes to clear a booth for us. Ms Sylvia was our server. Very sweet lady and very attentive. Food was hot and tasted great. The only things we wished were a little better were the cheese in my son's Hash brown bowl was sliced cheese and kind of clumped together and I wished my tomatoes would have been a little more ripe (was hoping they were locally grown, but don't think they were). My son worked there a few years ago (doesn't work there now) and introduced me to their Texas Cheesesteak melt with cheese hash browns. I added Jalapeños to mine and just discovered they have one that has Bacon on it! So now I get the Bacon Texas Cheesesteak Melt. My husband made a mistake in his ordering and they accidentally added jalapenos to my cheese hash browns instead of my sandwich and I fell in love. So this time I had jalapenos in my sandwich and cheese hashbrowns~jalapeno heaven! My dad works for Alabama Bridge Builders and eats at wh 3xs a day sometimes. We call our order in and the food is always excellent!! My husband gets the Breakfast All Star Special and has 4 pieces of toast, 2 eggs, grits, waffles, and choice of bacon, or ham or sausage, for a tiny price. My son got their Texas Bacon Pattie melt and he loved it. I have tried their pie before and it was heaven. I've never been disappointed and we have ordered from this location since they first opened. When we call in our order it is usually ready in 15 mins and always perfect. We love Waffle House.
