I am part of a men's group that meets monthly for breakfast. Hayley was our server today and she provided prompt, friendly service. I had the "For Dad" which was two pancakes, two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. Pancakes were fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly and bacon was crispy. Other members had the traditional breakfast, iron man and the healthy breakfast. Everybody enjoyed their meals and folks that got biscuits commented on size (I call them "cat head" biscuits) and tastiness. I had a cappuccino and the folks with coffee always had plenty of hot coffee thanks to Hayley. Y'all come check this place out!

Amazing service and homestyle food. Very cozy, and very casual. Breakfast at Sunview Cafe is a must. There are plenty of options, and portions are generous! My sister and I came and shared 1 entree (pictured). We got the Tex-Mex Skillet which comes with a side option - we chose blueberry pancakes. The Tex-Mex skillet was packed with hash browns, jalapeños, chorizo, onions, cheese, and your choice of eggs- we did over medium. The blueberry pancakes were stuffed with blueberries and topped with blueberries. The skillet was full of flavor in every bite, and the pancakes were fluffy, and the perfect combo with the spicy skillet. Coffee was wonderfully paired with the entree. We even received a dining card at the end hole punched that we bought an entree. If you buy 10, you get $5 off the 11th one. If choosing a place to grab breakfast in Allen, choose Sunview Cafe!

We've had meals here twice this week -once for pick up and another because our other brunch spot was unusually busy for Father's Day. I wish we'd just made breakfast at home, to be honest I'd hoped they were just having a "one off" day, but I'm certain this place has changed ownership/management because quality has been off. The coffee is not the same smooth brew and the food is just meh. The servers are working hard, but misdelivered some items as well. My scramble was flavorless and rather greasy today and earlier in week the hash browns tasted like old oil. Fruit on side is cantaloupe and honeydew unless you order something specific with strawberries.

Such a cute and homey atmosphere, the food was every bit as good as what I could make at home, which says a lot because it's hard to find good home cooking outside of home these days! I had the breakfast platter and was so impressed! I've attached updated pictures of the menu, as the ones on here aren't up to date, and I was pleased to see the prices significantly cheaper than what had been posted in the past.

This place never fails! Got here by 10am on Sunday morning. We were quickly seated. But it took forever for someone to stop by to take drinks order. There was some confusion in the sides too. All of this was ok as the food was awesome! We ordered Tex- Mex Skillet , veggie Skillets, extra eggs for kids. Both the skillets were awesome and tasted delicious. Pancakes were pretty 'meh'!

Best Migas! Enjoyed a great breakfast. Their Migas with corn tortillas were fabulous! My son had the Texas Skillet. Our plates were clean when we finished. Best compliment for a good meal. Definitely recommend this Allen breakfast spot. Service was excellent too!!

This place was a pleasant surprise!!! Typical Texas decor with lots of booths. We both ordered omlettes and they were super tasty.... definitely one of the better omelets I have had. Eggs were fluffy and was served very hot which is a real pet peeve for me. The pancakes were also light and yummy. I am deducting a star because it took like 10 minutes to get our check....our waitress simply disappeared for like 20 minutes. Other than that it was great. Definitely one of the top breakfast places in the area.

I had the Healthy Breakfast which is egg white, spinach with avocado and low fat cheese. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my food, it was too greasy and the avocado was brown with dark spots. The best part of my meal was the wheat toast which is impossible to mess up. Hubby had the Avocado Chicken sandwich which he said was good. Service was slow. Staff were friendly but extremely slow. The restaurant is laid back, soft music playing in the background. Ambiance is relaxing but I did not enjoy my food therefore I won't be returning.

I really enjoy sunview Cafe. The friendly greeting by the hostess, all of the servers remembering me from previous visits. Asking if I will have my usual. Very friendly family type of environment. I order the meat lover Skillet with mushrooms and jalapeno, over easy eggs and English muffin. This is one of the few places that actually Cooks the egg correctly on the first try! Angelica is my favorite, but they are all friendly and welcoming. She gives me the long time friend Vibe every time I visit. This welcoming customer service makes all the difference for me.

Food could have been better in my opinion. Quality and taste is reminiscent of a run down diner for lack of a better description. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was under seasoned, same for the hashbrowns. The Oreo pancakes surprisingly were dry and lacked flavor (not sure how that happened). Staff is friendly and food came out fairly quickly. We got there right before it got busy on a weekend.

Today was my second visit to this restaurant. They have a wonderful menu selection and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is laid back and family friendly. The service team is knowledgeable and helpful. The seating is limited. However, they have gotten me seated in under 15 minutes during the weekend peak morning hours on both visits. Now, let me tell you about the food... I Love Love Love it!!! Everything was very flavorful and I did not detect any shortcuts being taken during preparation. The portion sizes are generous and you will definitely get your money's worth. This is truly a neighborhood jewel and I anticipate frequenting there very often. read more

Waited more than 5 minutes for someone to seat us. We had to ask to get seated. Food was okay, but we felt like the waitress kept forgetting about us. I feel like the customer service was absolutely mediocre. We walked out questioning why we picked that restaurant in the first place. Then our friends came to visit, and they went to this cafe and the same thing happened to them! Makes no sense. read more

We went here for the first time for a late breakfast Saturday morning. There was a line of people waiting, took about 15min to be seated. The service was excellent, coffee was good, food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. We had Migas and the caramel pecan waffle, both delicious. Would highly recommend this place. Update: Just came back from meeting a friend for breakfast at Sunview - lesson learned: Do not come here on the weekend to meet a friend and chat. Although we were here at 8:40am before the rush hour start at about 9:30am, the pressure to hurry up and leave started right away. Constant interruptions and hints to finish up and leave. The bill came with our food, and finally the waitress basically came over and said we had to leave because they were expecting many customers. For a place that serves basic standard breakfast food, what makes you standout and win a loyal customer base is customer service. This used to be our go to place for breakfast in Allen, but no more. On the weekend they turn into a breakfast fast food joint tryIng to pump as many customers through as quickly as possible. Too bad, there are just too many other choices in the Dallas area. read more

(Takeout Only) Ok so we been going here for about 3 months now. And not one time has this place let us down. From the Traditional Breakfast, Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Fried Chicken, BLT, biscuits and gravy. We have had great meals and service when pick up our food every time. We have yet to make it inside as there are always people packed up in line to get in. Rain or shine. We go here almost every Saturday now. Allen really lucked out with Sunview calling it home. The steaks are crisp and you can tell it's all hand made. No previously frozen foods being served here. You can taste the quality in the food and see it in its final preparation. I highly recommend this place for weekend breakfast/brunch. You will not be dissatisfied! read more

We discovered this place after a quick yelp search in hopes of finding some brunch post- church. They sat our party of 8 people within the 15 min quote /food came out correct and fast! The people are friendly and super attentive! Wow wow wow. I really enjoyed myself today. It's hard to find places with both great service and food these days. Will be back! read more

When walking into Sunview Cafe you are greeted with smiles and charming texan decor. The floors and tables were surprisingly very clean even with a lot guests. I ordered the Very Berry French Toast with bacon and scrambled eggs as well as the Apple Scrambler with bisects and hash browns. The fruit and food was great quality and was evident in both dishes. I was more than satisfied with my experience at Sunview Cafe. Delicious food for a great price! Out of the many places I have tried in McKinney and Allen area for Breakfast/Lunch this is now my go to place. I highly recommend! read more

Let me just start by saying that the food and service were some of the best weve ever had..Our Server Manny(We thought he was the owner or manager)was funny,witty,took great care of us and was not robotic,very honest and his personality is meant for the service industry..Weve been to so many restaurants were the servers dont care or just want us in and out and he made us feel welcomed and not rushed and even had a few light hearted jokes that made us laugh..The food was so good and would say one of the better breakfast places weve been to.Sunview,you have a customer for life because of servers and staff like Manny and the product you put out is amazing.We will be back and will recommend this place to all our friends and family!!! read more

Kinda small, and quite a few people waiting in it side on a Sunday around 11:30 am...but man do they churn and burn! In no time we were seated, lots of options for breakfast/brunch/lunch. I always look for strawberry-something for breakfast and they did not disappoint. Strawberry pancakes, waffles or crepes. I chose crepes because I rarely see restaurants that offer them and they were better than expected, cooked to perfection with a hint of cinnamon too. Coffee was good too and prices reasonable. If I lived out here, this would be my go-to spot. read more

Wow what a great place for breakfast and lunch.. the coffee was fresh!!! They grind their coffee. Breakfast was great. Everything was perfect our waitress was very helpful and kind , the place was packed. Very long line for breakfast on the weekends. I LOVE LITTLE MOM AND POP SHOPS. Not a fan of the big box store . We talked to the other table around us every one was so nice. Everyone said they love food there. Very clean and courteous. I'm just an average Joe not a food critic I would definitely suggest going here maybe not on a Saturday or Sunday morning read more

This is probably the best spot for brunch in the Allen area! The customer service here is eggcellent (Ha!). The food is so delicious and you get a lot of food for what you pay for. Came here with a couple of friends on Sunday and it was packed but our wait was only 10 minutes along. As soon as we were seated, our server swept in to take our drink order right away. Also, our food arrived super within 10-15 minutes after putting in our order. Overall, I'm super happy with this place! read more

Enjoyed our second visit to Sunview. It's a cozy family run restaurant with great customer service and delicious food. Lot of choices for our vegetarian family. They were really nice about switching my daughters drink and helped her customize a drink to her liking. I think they like what they do and it shows. Will be back I think many more times. read more

I love this place! My friend and I stopped in before heading over to the outlets and man, what a hidden gem! I wish there were more places like this in the Plano area! It was Texas-themed and so cute! We had a very nice server who was very attentive and our food arrived in a decent time frame. I tend to be more forgiving for breakfast items but I will say it was great! I had the southwest omelette and my friend had the breakfast sampler. I would love to return if I'm ever in the area again! read more

Awesome cafe with unique twists to breakfasts as well as classic lunch and breakfast dishes. Service is quick and friendly, food comes out fresh, hot, and fast. The omelets and skillets are my favorite dishes. Seriously just pick one and you'll love it. Who puts a biscuit in an omelet and smothers it in gravy? Well, they do. Always busy so on the weekends it's possible you might have a small wait. So skip IHOP or Black Walnut Cafe and settle in to your new favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. read more

My husband and my teenager go here for breakfast and brunch! Every single time they rave about how good the food is! They have ordered everything from omelets and pancakes to panini sandwiches. They always leave full and happy! I have had their tea and I think it's some of the best in Texas! The family that owns this business also work here. They are very kind and work very hard. Always ready to accommodate any request, it is obvious that customer care is the most important thing for them. A great restaurant that is super clean and comfortable with tasty food? OMG, looking for a new breakfast place since La Joya will be closed for awhile because of a fire. This place was recommended by neighbors and it is divine! Fast, friendly, big menu, really good food. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly. They have both turkey bacon and chicken sausage for those that don't eat pork. read more

Hands down the most consistent, fast, yummy breakfast cafe in Allen. Super fast. We often order breakfast for pickup and it's ready in 5 minutes. One major warning, however. The lady there who doesn't understand English as well is not in sync with the menu. We've recently had the wrong order prepared for pickup because she got confused. She is nice, but has trouble with the menu and can mix up what you're ordering. read more

The food was amazing!! It showed up early but did not have any silverware, jelly, butter, etc... It did arrive with a small syrup container. I believe in the future I will order again but maybe call them and make sure the condiments that you want are in your order read more

I'm not a big red sauce person but the bologneses were also pretty good. The long noodles were a little mushy in all the sauce but the tortellini was not bad. Portion sizes were huge so we took three boxes of leftovers home! And one of the ladies at the host stand helped us take some nice group pictures outside the restaurant after our meal. For a solid local red sauce joint that will fill you up and then some, look no further!

I knew from the second we walked in, based on the list of made-in-house horchatas and agua frescas, that we were going to be in for a good meal. The menu was refreshingly unique compared to your basic street taco style setup or the usual Tex-Mex mashup of inauthentic tacos topped with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Our group of 3 adults, plus my 7 year old niece, shared a bowl of guacamole, which was phenomenal and came mixed with sunflower seeds and topped with crumbled cotija, alongside house-made corn tortilla chips. We also split an elote cup, which was great. My wife got a classic horchata, which was deliciously sweet (but not overly so) with a nice slight punch of cinnamon. I went with water but will definitely try an agua fresca next time. I ordered two tacos, both on house-made flour tortillas (I like corn tortillas but prefer flour when made fresh). The Pollo Azteca, with marinated grilled chicken tenderloin, mango pico, and a drizzle of crema, was phenomenal, and had more flavor than most chicken tacos I've had before. The star of my meal, however, was the Al Pastor, with adobo marinated pork tenderloin, diced pineapple, onions, and cilantro, with a slice of lime to squeeze on top. This was hands down one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I was floored. I also tried my wife's Carne Asada tacos, which came topped with cilantro and onions, and a slice of lime, on their house made corn tortillas. The steak was incredibly flavorful, and the corn tortillas were tender without being chewy. We shared a side of rice and beans, which was good, but not the star of the show. The rice was your typical Mexican yellow rice, and the beans were more of a soupy whole-beans style, which reminded me of my Colombian mother-in-law's recipe. The staff makes four homemade salsas, ranging from mild to pretty spicy, and I loved all of them with the exception of the mild. My niece got the kids' cheese quesadilla, which was a simple melted Oaxaca cheese between a flour tortilla, served with rice, beans, and a little side of crema. The last thing I will rave about is the service. The staff was incredibly nice from the minute we walked in, pleasant to talk to when delivering our order and asking how everything was tasting, to the moment we bussed our tables and headed for the door. I cannot wait to come back again, and I hope they stay very busy until I'm able to do so, because I want this place to be around for a very long time!

We both had the hash browns and pancakes......(ordered my hash browns crispy and were perfect!!), pancakes were so light and fluffy, omelet loaded with bacon and cheese and also so light and fluffy, chicken fried steak was lightly breaded and so tender!
