Such a cute Thai spot in the area! They even have their own little store at the bar where you can buy traditional Thai snacks. To start, we got the thai shrimp donuts, chicken satay (special of the day) and papaya salad. They all had their own unique twist compared to other Thai restaurants. All were really good! For entrees, we got the basil fish, shrimp pad thai & massaman curry beef. The pad thai was probably one of the best I've ever had. I would've skipped out on the curry though. Probably would've preferred a green or red curry; this tasted a bit bland. For dessert, we got the fried bananas and thai tea creme brulee. Definitely unique dessert options! Both were also really good. The creme brulee was creamy, though I would've liked more crust on the top. All the wait staff was really nice and accommodating. Well so I've always seen this restaurant when I'm over this side off Union turnpike anyone who knows know that it's TJMAXX why I'm there, so I finally went into SUP because I love Thai food and Thai ice tea so we sat for the Chicken Drunken Noodles and Pineapple rice, superb service and Ume shout out your the best and attentive server/waiter good for their business all the staff was great but UME she's the best felt like I was visiting family. Oh and the atmosphere is great the only downside for me it's not by the water, lol but that's a different story with me loving a seaside restaurant. Finally stopped in for dinner and it wasn't a disappointment. Service is excellent and food was tasty. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. We asked for dinner recommendations and we tried the snapper. Presentation was amazing and so was the taste. My new favorite drink is their lychee lemonade, AMAZING! Meal size was big enough for me and my fiance. We also tried the crab dumplings and calamari which also tasted great. On our second visit, I had the crab fried rice. It definitely yummy. Stop by this an extraordinary restaurant this weekend with friends. This place was packaged but it didn't take long to the table. Our server, Emmy, took very good care of us. She recommended Spicy clams, Pad Thai pork belly and we got them all, yummy! I ordered Esan combo for appetizers. We also shared Hoy Tod Hot Pan. This one was the killer and we highly recommend it. I am not expert in papaya salad but I do judge a Thai resto by their papaya salad. Sour, sweet, slightly fishy, w a pork rinds to add a crunch. Fried chicken 3/5 - not crazy about this dish. A safe choice to get if you don't know what to get for appetizer. Thought it would come in a chicken wings form but it wasn't. The fried shallot added a nice flavor to it. Sweet chili sauce was nothing out of the ordinary. Chicken satay 2/5 - came with toasted bread. Didn't know what to do with the bread, wish the server would explain if there's a way to eat it but oh well. The peanut sauce was ok, nothing special. The vinegar-y cucumber sauce helped a lot or else the satay would be flavorless. Tom yum 3/5 - not used to this version of the noodle soup. The soup looked super red than the usual tom yum soup I get. At first I thought it would be spicy even tho I asked for mild spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all. Didn't taste much of the sour and tangy flavor that I'm used to, but it wasn't bad. The noodle was soo thin - not like the rice noodle type more like angel noodle. Got this with prawn, but only came with one prawn and it wasn't fresh - disappointed. Overall, decent place to get Thai food if you're in/live around the area or if you live around Flushing and don't want to trek to Elmhurst or Manhattan. Price range from $8-$18 at most. read more

Had an incredible experience at Sup today. We were immediately greeted and seated with a warm smile! Service -- speedy and efficient. I think my water was refilled at least four times during this meal. Waiters were always on call but weren't overbearing. Prices -- incredibly reasonable, we took advantage of their great lunch special which came with an appetizer and a full size entree. My sister and I ordered the green curry and massaman curry entrees with the chive and crab dumplings as our appetizers. The chicken green curry lunch special was $12 - fragrant with tinges of lemongrass and Thai basil - so good! The nutty massaman curry beef ($14) was equally as well balanced - not too thick but just stewlike enough to complement my rice. Ambiance -- also great! Wonderful cafe feel. Cute and airy with thoughtful decor. Dessert -- we got the mango coconut sticky rice. The rice was perfectly sticky and wasn't overpowered by the coconut cream that it was topped with. The one downside was that the mangos were not ripe enough -- a bit sour, which I didn't mind because the rice and coconut cream were so tasty! Looking forward to my next meal here! read more

we placed a large catering order through sup thai for an event, and i had an amazing experience - they were on time, very friendly/welcoming and helpful, and the food was a big hit. it was also a LOT for the amount we paid (much more than we had bargained for - plenty of yummy leftovers!), which was already reasonable compared to the other restaurants i had looked into around the area. we ordered pans of the spring rolls, chicken pad thai, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and crispy pork belly with chinese broccoli - everything was delicious, but my personal favorite was probably the pork belly. i'll be back on my own to try some of their other food, but i'm very happy with both the service and the food here and can highly recommend them. read more

We arrived around 2 p.m., so we ordered from the lunch menu! My partner ordered the Shrimp Drunken Noodle Lunch Special ($14) with Chive Pancakes and I ordered the Tofu Spicy Basil Fried Rice ($12) with Thai Crepe Dumplings. The appetizers came on the smaller side of portions, but maybe it's because it's part of lunch special. The Thai crepe dumplings were filled with a sweet and savory peanut filling and the dumpling skin was delicate and thin. It reminded me of steamed rice rolls. The chive pancakes were really good! They were crispy on the outside and had a juicy mixture of chives on the inside...it was a good oily treat. The drunken noodles were great; there's a lot or shrimp and the noodles were well seasoned and cooked. However, they weren't spicy at all. The spicy basil fried rice packed more heat and was fragrant. Again, both weren't as spicy as I expected, but they did taste good! I was sad that they didn't have mango sticky rice, but we ordered fried banana with coconut ice cream. It was alright. Not a big fan of bananas myself, but it wasn't terrible. Sup Thai Kitchen is a relatively new Thai restaurant located in Fresh Meadows. I came here upon an online mention about it. I arrived with my party at around 4:30 pm on a weekend. Surprisingly, the restaurant was already half full at this early hour. Given that the restaurant is a bit small, it does a consistent stream of business. By the time we left, it was almost full of diners. The restaurant is has a nice modern look and contains a bar that has a tiny Thai snack shop, which cutely lists its prices in Thai baht! We saw some interesting items like the dried fish snacks. However, the main focus is on the menu. Apparently, the Khao Soi is something of a signature dish here, but we decided to get three other scrumptious-looking entrees: Tom Yum Fried Rice with seafood, the Isan special containing rice, somtum and fried chicken, and finally the Shrimp Pad Thai. Please note that the fried rice and the pad thai, offered different types of proteins as options. We just happened to order the seafood options. You will also notice that the menu is fairly small for a Thai restaurant. As it turned out, a smaller menu means better quality for what's on the menu. The seafood fried rice was terrific. It contains the hint of the mélange of herbs that make up Tom Yum recreated in fried rice. The seafood was plentiful and definitely hit the spot. They also offer a crab fried rice, which we will try on another visit. The Isan special, contained a decent somtum which was not overly sweet. The fried chicken was very Thai streetfood-like. My companion said it tasted like the garlic was imported from Thailand. The rice was I believe made with peaberry flower and coconut milk, which gave it a nice scent. All in all, it was very satisfying. And finally the Pad Thai was delicious. It's not just stir-fried noodle, but stir fried with the best type of pad thai sauce, made with tamarind, giving it a brownish glaze. It was immediately apparent when I saw the dish. The restaurant was really nice, in putting crushed peanuts and dried pepper powder on the side. We loved this dish due to it's authenticity and overall tastiness. As for the service, we really enjoyed the friendly service. The waiters worked hard and welcomed us knowing that we were first time diners. I came in on a Friday night around 8PM with 3 other friends - what we saw as a 5 min wait on yelp ended up being 10-15 mins on standby when we got in. It was pretty crowded, but we waited by the bar area on the side since they offered to let us wait indoors as tables cleared up. Initially we thought about ordering drinks first, but decided just to wait. We took time to decide what we wanted to order. For the 5 of us, we decide on Sup Sampler, papaya salad, chicken satay, tom yum fried rice with chicken and drunken noodles with beef. Once we sat down, we ordered our drinks and we each ordered something different: thai iced tea, sup lychee thai tea, lemonade thai tea, and thai green tea. Drinks came out quick and each one had a unique flavor: thai being classic, sup lychee thai tea came in with separate lychee syrup and you do a potion-esque chemistry thing to mix up the flavors pretty smooth, iced thai green tea comes nicely green with a floral-esque delightful flavor and my favorite was my own ice lemonade thai tea because it gives a tart aftertaste not too sweet. Following soon after, our apps came together: papaya salad was probably my favorite because it was tangy, spicy and crunchy in texture, the chicken satay comes in a close second with the smooth peanut sauce with bits of toasted bread on the side, and the sampler had a lot going on! In the sampler, I think I enjoyed the chives dumpling and the crab dumping best - it comes with a side of soy sauce/vinegar and sweet chili sauce. I'm normally a big sweet chili sauce so I'd dip it in that even if I wasn't supposed to. Lastly, the entrees came, but we were probably already pretty stuffed from apps. We split the noodles and fried rice among us 5. Personally, I like the drunken noodles more because the texture of the flat noodles was so so smooth and the spice level added a nice touch - it goes really well with marinated beef, peppers (be careful with the seeds), and onions. The tom yum fried rice was good too since I love tom yum soup normally and the enoki mushroom portion was generous. We were so so full, but it was good enough to finish all and not waste food. If we didn't have pie waiting for us at home, we would have dived into dessert since mango sticky rice can't even disappoint. If I came again, I think I'd like to try the crab meat thick soup noodles and the southern fried chicken (comes with coconut blue rice!! I would presume it tastes like Asian spin off of chicken and waffles??) and of course the dessert!! I discovered Sup Thai right around the beginning of the pandemic, when I got sick of my own miserable cooking, and I'm sooo glad I did. I wanted to wait until I tried a decent portion of their menu before reviewing, and I'm convinced this place deserves 5 stars, even beyond if I could give it. The wings and chive pancakes are probably the best I've had in a Thai place. The ribs MELT, falling off the bone, ugh I'm getting hungry. I usually get the massaman curry or the crispy pork and Chinese broccoli. Cannot go wrong. I also love their mocktails. Sup Colada is 10/10! The first thing I noticed walking into Sup Thai Kitchen is the decor. Walking through the entrance, I noticed the bar and then the seating, which were clean and gave off the vibes of a trendy café that would be great for brainstorming and taking IG-worthy photos. The place is a bit small and can get packed quickly, but they are very accommodating of large parties if you have a reservation in advance, as we had a party of about 20 people, which is quite a lot to fit in the space they have. However, the staff were very accommodating and efficiently took our many orders and fulfilled our frequent requests. As for the food, I got the Esan Combo, as I was feeling adventurous and wanted something besides the standard Thai fare and I have never seen blue rice before (it's coconut rice). Aesthetically, it looks amazing with the contrast in colors from the vibrant orange, green, and red of the salad to the calm blue of the rice. Besides the rice, the combo comes with northeastern Thai fried chicken, a generous portion of papaya salad, and pork rinds that remind me of chicharrones. Be aware that the papaya salad has a nice kick to it, as it does have Thai chilies in there, but otherwise, it is a really good salad, as there are different amount of flavors exploding in your mouth at once, from the sweetness of the papaya to the slight saltiness of the nuts to the spice of the chilies. The pork rinds were a nice and salty addition while the rice was a good chaser due to the coconut flavor if you're feeling the heat from the chilies. The chicken was kind of underwhelming though, as it wasn't as crispy as I hoped and felt a bit dry, though that may be a style of northeastern Thai fried chicken. The flavor was certainly good though and it went well with the other components. The sweet chili sauce that accompanies the dish was perfect though, as it goes well with the rice and the chicken. Overall, the combo is a great dish to get if you're not feeling too hungry and wanted to try something that tastes as good as it looks. It's also a good appetizer to share with a friend or two. P.S. bonus points to the tiles with the Thai letters that are on the side of the bar as well as the stools with the bicycle pedals at the bottom. They make for a memorable experience of how trendy and modern the restaurant looks. read more

Best Khao Soi (Chiang Mai Chicken Noodle Soup) I've had in NY. Finally found a spot comparable to the food I had in Thailand. This dish has the perfect level of spice and the chicken is slow cooked to a beautiful tenderness. It's more of a authentic street food style approach than the normal suspects in the area. It has a cute decor on the inside, including snacks and other items straight from Thailand.
