Orange juice and coffee are standard and they have a breakfast kombucha if you want something a little healthier and probiotic. They also have a happy hour with regional wine, bubbles, and local beer for really reasonable prices if you just need a refresher after getting back to the hotel. The location is unbeatable with just a couple of blocks to excellent places to eat downtown like The Davis, and the Eugene Public Library nearby.

And that the ceiling - and some walls - have real wood paneling (not the kind in basements in the '70's). The breakfasts that are included and are generous - fresh fruit, bacon/sausage, eggs, fried potatoes, waffle bar, danishes, etc. The front desk is staffed 24/7. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and again, location, location, location!

My husband said he overheard her speaking to a guest of how she likes to pick up the phone-not answering, and then hanging up on the customer-She explained that she does this because she feels that if a customer needs something so bad, that they can get up and walk to her desk and ask. Trucks that park in the rear lot are only a short distance from family homes. Despite repeated letters, phone calls, and in-person requests, the hotel has not addressed this ongoing problem. Engines are routinely left idling for extended periods, creating constant noise, diesel exhaust, and pollution that make it difficult for nearby residents to rest or sleep. Oregon law prohibits commercial motor vehicles from idling for more than five minutes within any continuous 60-minute period, except under specific exemptions, however those exemptions are only for temperature control and not to exceed 4 hours. Excessive engine noise violates local noise and pollution ordinances, this is a fact. If you choose to idle your truck in the rear lot, nearby residents will report the violation to law enforcement for investigation which can result in fines and for you to shut off your truck. If you are a truck driver looking for a place to stay, please consider a location that is not immediately adjacent to a residential neighborhood. Respecting the people who live nearby helps everyone.

Freeway access was close by. The University of Oregon is probably a 10 minute drive from here. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance. For that amount (which I had no…read moreproblem paying because every hotel was in demand at this time of year), I would have expected beds without springs pushing into our backs (not just 1, but both), housekeeping, clean towels, and the shower amenities to be filled. I stayed for 3 nights, and my room was never cleaned. We called housekeeping every day, and there was no answer. I was told the room was cleaned every other day, which means on Tuesday the room should have been cleaned. I will admit that on Monday we were out for breakfast and then back to get ready for the graduation, so the do-not-disturb sign was on the door. However, the next morning we called housekeeping for service, and again, no answer. We left for the day, and nothing. If the room is only cleaned every other day, that would be the day it was due to be cleaned. I had to go to the front desk and beg for clean towels. This is unacceptable. I contacted Marriott, and the hotel has deposited 25,000 Bonvoy points into my account (as stated in the hotel manager's email), which is equivalent to a half-night stay at a Marriott property. Unacceptable. I asked for a refund for a portion of my trip, but they refused. For $500 a night, this is what I got. I would hate to see what you get at their regular rates.

The AC in the room reeeks of mold. I hate this with hotels because Mold actually can get you sick. ( should know this). Plus I had my baby with me. They lied to me earlier today about being sold out for tonight. Funny thing is, I worked with Hilton. I know systems are slow to update but the room I did request is still up tonight . It's 11:32pm. ( yes Guest can still check in) however it's somewhat unlikely being that we are out of tourist season in this area. Also room had no body wash. Not a hard fix but just had conditioner and a bottle of shampoo sitting on side of tub. Either way to end this review: 1. Rooms were decently clean. That's what Matters the most. 2. Last night staff I get it. Don't be fake but do realize... attitude within hospitality matters here in America lol. 3. I'm not a slow cookie. Unfortunately, my experience this evening was particularly unsatisfactory. I extended my stay by an additional day and went out this morning at 8:00 AM. I left a sign on the door requesting housekeeping services, such as fresh towels, bed making, and trash removal. I returned intermittently throughout the day from visiting a family member at the hospital, but these requests had not been fulfilled. At approximately 5:30 PM, I returned to my room expecting the services to be completed, but they had not been. I contacted the front desk, where I was informed that the housekeeping staff had finished for the day. I also inquired about the signs I had left, which were printed in English--however, I was told that the house keeping is only Spanish. As I understand, staff members should be trained to recognize and understand these signs regardless of language, to ensure guest requests are properly handled. When I discussed this with the front desk, they mentioned that the only assistance they could provide was towels, which would require me to leave the room and obtain them myself, as no housekeeping was available. I then carefully placed the trash in the designated cleaning areas which was still open and decided to depart for the evening. The front desk stated they could provide me with an email address for customer service to file a formal complaint and mentioned that they could inform a supervisor, but there was no guarantee of resolution. I intend to submit a formal complaint regarding the language barrier and the lack of understanding of housekeeping signage. I believe it is important that staff are properly trained so they can address guest requests effectively. Additionally, Saturday morning was also frustrating. The breakfast service did not open until shortly after the scheduled time, and the attendant managing the breakfast buffet was quite unpleasant, displaying aggressive behavior such as pushing chairs as if she was truly pussed off and without regard for the setup. The breakfast offerings were incomplete at the opening, with no bread, carbs, or pancake batter available, which was disappointing. On a positive note, I appreciated that the laundry facilities included at least one washer and dryer, which were affordable and in good working condition. The availability of laundry detergent at the front desk was also convenient. However, the coffee machines--offering mochas, espressos, and lattes--have been broken since our arrival, possibly even before, and it does not appear there are plans to repair them before the weekend. Overall, I am disappointed with this renovated property. It does not seem to meet the standards expected of a Best Western Plus hotel. As a member at the Diamond or Gold level, I believe all guests should receive consistent and quality service, and I am concerned that this has not been the case during my stay.
