All by ourselves in a corner and she keeps dogging us

Everytime I'm here I get put in a corner with my kids. Yes I do have a son who is on the spectrum but they have one employee sit and watch us the whole time ? It's very weird and I feel very discriminated against actually I used to really enjoy coming here but the last 3 times it's been a horrible experience and also when paying double check because they tried making me pay for soda when I just wanted water I think it's pretty insane how they try and get over on people

seafood

staff were friendly and find everything I need. got stuffed today again I always bring my family! they accept large party. always see parties going on during weekends.

Seafood Delight = delicious

As far as Chinese buffets at this price point go, this is an excellent one. Vegetables were all perfectly cooked (still crunchy and not mushy). All the food seemed very fresh and of quality ingredients. Some dishes we loved (crab wontons, chicken wings, vegetables, egg roll, seafood delight); others we disliked (fried rice, hot and sour soup, baked crab salad, apple salad). But overall very good. I will definitely be back. Note: we were there at opening; timing might matter re quality of dishes.

I'm going to be as honest as I can. I put 1 star because I want someone to see my review & rethink about driving to a buffet with a price of 19.99/person. I brought my nieces here today for a send off dinner before they leave to California but found this buffet so disappointing. 1st, My brother found hair in his plate of chicken, we told the staff about it & manager said it could've been his beard... I then AGAIN found hair in the plate of crabs.. I took it to the front & spoke with the owner & she tried to offer me $40 to compensate for the 2 plates... I took it walked away & told my family to get out. I just want to say, Do not come here, not only do they have hair in their food, the floor was slippery wet, the aroma/ the setting & air inside the restaurant was stuffy & hot.. the hibachi area where they cook fried noodles, the staff do not speak English.. The orange chicken, the honey walnut chicken were all stale & tasted a day old, most of the food we tasted, seemed cooked from couple days back & reheated.. Never again. God bless & if you're looking for a buffet, go elsewhere. Pay money where it's worth your money.

Everything else was alright the Sushi was warm, I guess it's because it sits underneath a heat lamp, not a big fan of that personally

The dim sum was a big surprise for me; I usually skip siu mai at buffets, but everything looked so good I tried it, and it was just as tasty as ordering it by the piece at a dim sum spot. Lunch had tons of variety: pan‑fried prawns, crayfish, frog, salt‑and‑pepper fried fish, a make‑your‑own beef noodle soup station, and a full Mongolian grill. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I also loved the salad bar, especially the mango and papaya. Drinks included in the price is a nice bonus. The place looks cleaner and nicer than before, and even though we drove 45 minutes from the Eastside, it was totally worth it. Feast Buffet has definitely leveled up.

Located in the Renton Shopping Center near Fred Meyer, this buffet has really surpassed the test of time. I remember coming here when I was a kid during important family events, however I think the last time I came was around 10 years ago! I think it's pretty safe to say that things have remained consistent over the past many years. To be honest, I'm not a big buffet person - I feel like the quality of the food is often traded for quantity and at my big age I really cannot force myself to eat more than like 2-3 plates of food anymore. But I will say, Feast definitely exceeded my expectations! It has a lot of great asian choices, as well as options for children/people with different palates! I've was a huge fan of the sushi/seafood options, especially the salmon sashimi they had. It was SO fatty I had so many bowls of it. There wasn't really anything that disappointed me, though the crab/lobster line was long (as expected). Staff were kind, and were pretty consistent in clearing out my table and I thought everything was pretty clean! Honestly I'm tempted to return (maybe for lunch since it's cheaper) but I do think that Feast Buffet is definitely a gem of Renton.

Regarding the origin of the buffet, the most widely circulated theory is linked to the Viking…read morepirates of Northern Europe during the 8th to 11th centuries. · Nordic Viking Era (8th-11th century): To save trouble, the Vikings simply laid out food for everyone to take on their own. This custom was preserved in Sweden and gradually evolved into the Smörgåsbord (Scandinavian cold buffet), which is the direct and continuous ancestor of the modern buffet. · France (18th-19th century): The French adopted the word "Buffet" (originally meaning a sideboard or serving table) to describe this self‑service style of dining and promoted it among high society. · Perfection in Japan: The modern buffet model we know today--featuring cold dishes, hot dishes, desserts, and a wide variety of options--was established by the Imperial Hotel Tokyo in 1958. · Las Vegas: The now‑popular "all‑you‑can‑eat" model originated in Las Vegas, USA, in the 1940s. Casinos offered cheap or even free buffets to keep gamblers on the premises, a strategy that quickly became widespread. · Introduction to China: The buffet was introduced to China in the 1930s, initially appearing only in foreign‑funded hotels. It was not until the late 1980s that it reached the general public through tourist joint‑venture hotels. Here's the English translation of your review: Ambience: This buffet restaurant seems to have been around for a long time. You can tell it was quite luxurious about 10 years ago. Relatively speaking, it's still fairly clean. Taste: There is a huge variety of options, covering dozens of items including Chinese stir-fried dishes, Western food, Japanese cuisine, teppanyaki, fruit, seafood, salad, as well as drinks and ice cream. I mainly tried the Chinese stir-fried dishes, boiled shrimp, and teppanyaki. Considering the price per person, I think every item met my expectations. Service - unexpectedly good: From asking how many people in our party at the entrance, to guiding us to a table and asking if the seat was comfortable, to explaining the dining process, and clearing plates during the meal - all of it was very good. Room for improvement: Some of the items are pre-made dishes that only need simple deep-frying or grilling. Pre-made dishes can be categorized into a few types: easy to cook, easy to eat, easy to heat. Based on my experience in the industry, the essence of pre-made dishes is really an issue of trust. If the selection is done properly and customers don't experience any adverse reactions after eating, then it's a good business.

So many seats inside but Just a heads up: come early or be ready to wait, because this place is always packed. It's busy, a little chaotic, but 100% worth it. There's 20 Chinese aunties running around so please come with an open mind. No matter how long the wait gets, I'll always make time for my bookie pookie.

The food itself is high quality. The best pan-fried noodles I've had in a long time (aka chow mein,…read morechoose the crispy option). Dim sum is some of the best in the Seattle area. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).

The best seafood boil ever Very fresh and sous very…read moredelicious Good and ready quick service 10/10

Walking into Crawfish Chef, you immediately get that casual, no-frills Cajun seafood boil…read moreatmosphere--nothing overly fancy, but lively and inviting in a way that tells you the focus here is all about the food. The space is simple and functional, with wooden tables, a laid-back setup, and that unmistakable energy of people ready to dig into messy, hands-on seafood boils. It's the kind of place where gloves, napkins, and cracking shells are all part of the experience, and that authenticity adds to the charm. The star of the visit was Combo #6, a generous spread that comes loaded with 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of shrimp, along with potatoes and corn. On paper, it sounds like a seafood feast--and visually, it absolutely delivers when it hits the table, drenched in their signature house special sauce. Starting with the mussels, they soak up the sauce beautifully. Each bite is juicy and briny, with that ocean flavor amplified by the rich, garlicky, buttery kick of the house sauce. The seasoning doesn't just sit on the surface--it seeps into every shell, making each bite bold and satisfying. The snow crab is easily one of the highlights. The meat is tender, slightly sweet, and pulls cleanly from the shell. Paired with the house sauce, it hits that perfect balance between natural seafood sweetness and spicy, savory richness. It's messy, indulgent, and exactly what you want from a Cajun-style boil. The shrimp are equally impressive--plump, well-cooked, and easy to peel. They carry the sauce exceptionally well, giving you that full punch of flavor in every bite without being overpowered. The texture is spot-on, not rubbery or overdone, which can sometimes be a gamble with seafood boils. Even the sides--potatoes and corn--deserve recognition. They might seem like fillers, but here they act as flavor sponges, absorbing all that seasoned sauce and delivering surprisingly satisfying bites in between the seafood. They help round out the meal and keep it from feeling one-dimensional. What really ties everything together is that house special sauce. It's rich, garlicky, buttery, slightly spicy, and deeply flavorful--arguably the backbone of the entire experience. It's the kind of sauce that makes you want extra bread or rice just to soak up every last drop, and it's consistently praised as a standout feature of the restaurant. That said, while the flavors are undeniably strong, the biggest drawback comes down to value. Combo #6 sits at a noticeably high price point (around the mid-$90 range), and while the quality and taste are there, the portion doesn't quite feel like it fully justifies the cost. You get a good spread, but not an overwhelming one--especially if you're sharing or expecting a truly massive boil for that price. It leans more toward a "treat yourself" meal rather than something you'd regularly order without thinking twice. Some diners have also noted that prices have crept up over time while portions haven't significantly increased, reinforcing that slight mismatch between cost and quantity. Overall, Crawfish Chef delivers where it matters most--flavor. Combo #6 is rich, satisfying, and packed with well-seasoned seafood that keeps you reaching for the next bite. The house sauce alone makes it memorable. However, the higher price tag makes it feel more like an occasional indulgence rather than a go-to value meal. If you're craving a flavorful, hands-on seafood boil experience in Kent, it absolutely hits the spot--but just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect for the amount you get.
