I don't understand all the 1 star reviews. Let me tell you something - I've been coming here since I was a kid, almost 20 years. Have there been off nights? Yes, of course, you can expect that in many restaurants. But the majority of the time, I've enjoyed the food, and the service is great. Even though the price has gone up some over the years, it's still (in my opinion) a good deal. It's an AYCE buffet, so as long as you don't go in expecting Michelin star food, you won't be disappointed. They've got a pretty decent selection of food, and I like their salad bar. Sushi is so-so but it's not bad for a buffet. It's not a big restaurant, so it never gets too loud, and the servers are always on top of clearing the tables and refilling drinks. We came back for lunch and are glad we did. It's definitely a better choice for lunch than dinner. The food looked more appetizing for some reason - I noticed them refreshing often and everything was hot. The husband loved the brisket so much he went back for seconds. I enjoyed the fried rice. Came back for the first time since my 16th birthday and so much has changed. While the food choices in the buffet has changed, the quality of the food has not. Food was delicious and filling. Went through five plates before calling it. Main Course, Sushi, Final Stretch, Fruit and Dessert. Servers were kind and wonderful. Drinks and refills were very swift. And as for the overall environment. Not too noisy, but not super quiet. Just business as usual on a Friday Night. I heard of this place last time I was in town on business, so I drove over from my hotel today and what a great choice for dinner. All you can eat seafood &Chinese food buffet. It did not disappoint. The crab legs amazing, fried chicken wings excellent, BBQ chicken another amazing eat the Kungpow chicken couldn't be better the cream cheese wontons also amazing . I could write a book about how great the food was and is. Was greeted with friendly faces and the ambiance typical for a Chinese food buffet not complaiing just wish I had dined there more often on this work trip. First time visit and probably my last! Food quality didn't seem all that great. Tried out the Sushi, the California Rolls and Tamago. But they didn't seem all that fresh or tasty. They were definitely missing something. Ate the Dumplings, Fried Chicken Wings, General Tso's Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, vegetable noodles, and Siomai. Let's just say there are much better places with much better food elsewhere. They also had crawfish which my family had and they said it tasted like they were store bought and frozen! I can say is that the siomai were terrible, had some weird flavor to them, the Beef and Broccoli seemed a little bland and old, General Tso's Chicken was too sweet and overpowering with sauce when it was supposed to be spicy, the Sushi didn't taste fresh, the rice tasted old. Chicken wings were alright, Dumplings had no seasoning for the fillings and the noodles were very bland. For $25 a person for Dinner prices, kinda expensive for the low quality and for the small amount of selection of food choices available. My wife and I absolutely love this place. They have all of our favorite main dishes. You definitely get your moneys worth especially with all of the seafood that they have to offer. It may not be as extensive of options as other buffets, but better quality in my opinion, plus the customer service is phenomenal. I started of my meal annoyed at being charged for a soda fee despite telling them I only drink water. While the food is relatively decent the location and cleanliness is less than to be desired. King Buffet has opened back up since a few months ago! Looks like still under the same owners as before. I used to come here a lot pre-covid whenever I was craving some dinner buffet and eating here was much cheaper than going to Feast because the price was in the teens. But that gap feels like it has lessened now due to King Buffet retaining the same food quality while price increased ($22 weekday dinner). Most of the hot food was OK (just like it used to be), a few selections were subpar (the crab was overcooked and sticking to the shell, the fish was dry, the corn smelled funny). The fruit/dessert station is still pretty sad with low quality fruits and many canned fruits/snacks selections. The sushi bar is decent and was relocated to where the Mongolian barbecue grill station used to be. However, that does mean they took away the Mongolian grill altogether which is unfortunate as the stir fried dishes and noodle soups used to be one of the favorites. Overall 2.5 out of 5 - don't see myself coming back soon. read more

I had to go up to Seattle to take my grandmother up for a follow-up at Harborview Hospital and I wanted to treat her and my mom to lunch. Last visit back in March we had stopped somewhere else for all you can eat buffet and didn't like it what so ever. So I was review places to eat and I came across King Buffet and I decided to check it out. I am SO glad that I did. We were instantly great as we walked in with friendly staff. It was a nice little cozy place that was pretty busy. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful. It's been such a long time since I've had delicious Chinese buffet that was fresh and hot. The wait staff was amazing always making sure our plates that we had finished were cleared and our glass were refilled. I'd HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area check this place out. I'll start this off by saying you get what you pay for. This is a smaller, more casual buffet that's good for a quick lunch or a dinner with family. In saying that I have to say the selections also reflects the size of the buffet - although the options are still bountiful, hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS. Seriously, I didn't expect it to be so flavorful... to the point where I was craving their dishes a few days later at home. I like to think of this place as an AYCE version of my favorite chinese take out spots. To touch on the atmosphere a bit more; there is never an issue with crowding or cleanliness, and they're sure to have fresh pans of low items revolving at all times. The seating can be as open or secluded as your party desires and the lighting is always soft and warm. The drinks come with free refills, but don't get full on them before you can enjoy their other treats. Speaking of their drinks, their lemonade is phenomenal!! I know it's probably from a fountain but it's the perfect beverage for a hot meal - not too sweet or tart, and actually refreshing. To some who may be discouraged by the lower reviews: If you want more variety and a more upscale atmosphere, absolutely go for feast, but also know you'll be paying at least 25% higher of a price/person. I was very disappointed. Had not eaten here for a couple of years. However the only appealing items to eat was the sushi I was really craving some crab and they had two options ginger and plain. The crab legs was severely over cooked to the point I cracked the shell no meat inside or it was stuck to the side of the walls inside the shell.
