Very nice and polite staff. I took heed to the previous reviews about the wait time so I was prepared for long wait. I ordered a small chicken special lunch and a my lunch date ordered a super chicken wrap. My order would have been prepared earlier than the wrap so we waited for the super chicken wrap that took 15-20min. When we walked in there was one other person waiting. When we finished our order and was waiting for our food about 8-10 other people walked in. So glad we beat them. I ordered a "chicha morado" it's a Peruvian juice it was nice I saw someone else with it. The food was delish the chicken was well seasoned and yes they are really generous with the rice. The fries are fresh as well as other dishes. Definitely will be going back I saw they deliver but you can go get it and avoid the disappointment of a much longer wait. read more

This is some of the best Peruvian rotisserie-style chicken I have found in the Manassas area. The marinade penetrates the chicken so deeply that a dipping sauce is not necessary, it's optional. The skin is crispy-if you eat it there in the restaurant. If you take it to go you can Crisp the skin by reheating the chicken in the oven. The husband picked up some ceviche pescado for me and it was good! I'm giving it 4 stars because the corn tasted off here. I've had it elsewhere and it tasted good...other than that, the ceviche itself was perfectly marinated and tasted great. The portion was big as well, I was only able to eat half of it! AWESOME!!! I can't believe I ate food at a place named after one of my favorite childhood cartoons... The song was running through my head the whole time we were there - which was actually kindof of fun! To be honest, when we were discussing where to eat and my husband suggested Super Chicken, I thought he was yanking my chain. It would not be unlike him and it would make him really happy to fool me into believing we were going to eat at a cartoon. Color me surprised when we actually walked into a place named Super Chicken! The first thing I noticed was all the movie posters on the walls - they have all the cheesy chicken movies ever made, but nothing from the actual Super Chicken cartoon, which is even funnier. They also have a big tv on the wall, which when we went in was playing a spanish soap opera of some sort which captivated our entire group - more on that later. I was surprised they had table service - but that was great. We got our menus and took our time deciding. Everything looked great, but when you aren't necessarily sure of all the items on the menu, you want to take it slow. ;) Between the five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes from the standard 1/4 chicken to the more adventurous Peruvian dishes. No one was so bold as to order tripe or anything truly Peruvian like that. We also ordered two Peruvian drinks - Chicha, I think was one of them, and a tamarind one. I apologize for not remembering the names of everything - I'll get a to go menu and edit later. The chicha was really good - I loved it. I wasn't such a big fan of the tamarind, but the folks who ordered it loved it. We sat and had a good time watching the spanish soap opera while we waited for our food - some chick was in a coma and a gorgeous guy kept coming in, holding her hand and staring at her. We kept yelling for her to wake up, but it never happened. We enjoyed ourselves immensely - not sure I understood the point of all that drama with him repeatedly staring at her in bed, but it was fun for us. The guy came out and asked if we wanted him to change the channel, and we all shouted NO!!! He laughed and we just kept watching, entranced. When our food came, we dug in lustfully. It was awesome! The dish I ordered was a traditional Peruvian thing with strips of steak with onions and tomatoes over rice. I ordered a side of beans and mixed them with the rice. The beans were a tad bland, but a shake of salt took care of that. The beef mixture was excellent! Seriously one of the best meals I've had in a while. Not exactly top grade beef, but still, truly tasty. The dish comes with fries, but I had requested casava (yucca) instead - is there anything better? YUMMY!!! The folks who ordered chicken were raving as well. Juicy and tender were the comments being repeated. It looked really tasty. Next time I'll try that. We also got two appetizers, which were delivered along with our entrees. One was a plate of sortof chicken tenders, small bits of chicken breaded and fried. Sounds standard, but did not taste that way. I don't know what they put on these things, but they were incredibly tasty! Some sort of broth or sauce or something that did not make them soggy at all but seriously gave them a unique tang - so good! The other appetizer was not really to my liking, but several others in our party loved it. It was three halves of a boiled potato slathered in some sort of cheesy spicy sauce and served with a sliced boiled egg and some olives on the side. I found it rather bland, but two of the others were fighting over it. So at this point the chick in the soap opera is critical - we all stop eating to watch them pull the plug. The good looking dude is all upset, no one is talking, we are yelling for her to either wake up or die, it's basically mayhem all around us. Then they go to commercial - and it's over!!! We'll never know!!! Did she die? Was there a miracle and she opened her eyes and came back to her latino stud? Did she linger and let him keep coming back to her bedside to hold her hand and stare at her longingly? How will we live with the tension of never knowing her fate? So very very sad... Thank god they had plantains to drown our sorrows in. We downed two orders of them and wished we had room for more. TASTY!!! This place is awesome - you should all go there and eat all their food and try to find out what happened to the chick in the coma and PLEASE - let me know. We are on the edge of our seats! This review is not for the food; the food is now and has always been absolutely delicious. This review is for the delivery service I received today. Or, rather, lack thereof. I called in to order for delivery, having done so before knowing they have an order limit, and so was prepared with my full order ready to go. No sooner did I inform the young lady who picked up that I was calling to place an order for delivery did she snap back "sorry, but we're not delivering right now". I asked her if they had a time-cutoff (some places don't deliver after a certain hour or a certain time frame before they close) or if it was because today is a holiday (MLK Day, some places have different hours or offer different services on holidays). All I got was a half-assed "yeah, I don't know...". Seriously. That's what you're going with? Not "I'm not sure, but let me find out for you." Nor any explanation why their Yelp page shows that they offer delivery, and there are several reviews here talking about how they got delivery and it was great. So update your pages or train your staff better, because that girl had an awful attitude. read more

Besides repeating myself and correcting him, the entire process to order a salad and a wrap was frustrating and took too long. I wanted to drop the order several times during the call afraid my order, address, etc would be incorrect. I continued only because the reviews are good. Seriously businesses need to pit their best foot forward. In a predominately English speaking country please for the love of God put someone else on the phone. This was my first time trying Peruvian chicken and was recommended by a friend. I had the chicken sub and yellow rice. With my first bite into the sub the flavor of the chicken burst into my mouth. Very well seasoned, moist and a touch of natural smoke flavor created by the mesquite wood chips they use. The yellow rice was light and also had a very nice flavor to it. As another reviewer wrote, the place was very clean and the staff very friendly. I had told one of the owners I was trying to cut back on greasy foods and she ensured me they don't use butter or oils on their chicken so that was another plus. Their menu had a lot of options which was nicely surprising for a chicken place. I will have to go back there and try some of the other dishes but bottom line is I would highly recommend Super Chicken. read more

The ribs were dry, overcooked and tasteless, beans were watery and not seasoned, salad was terrible...who makes a terrible salad? The steak was a joke, precooked and hard as a rock. Fast, friendly and tasty. I will start off by saying that we came here to fix my Peruvian chicken craving since El Pollo Rico was too far. Yes, I'm a die hard EPR fan. The chicken here is tasty (it wins for crispier skin), but a little bit saltier and just slightly drier than EPR. It's good, but I'm biased :\ Plenty of side options (I opted for salad and yucca, bf went with rice and beans) and pretty decent portions. ANYWAY, what really piqued my interest was their massive menu. Super Chicken doesn't only sell chicken...it has a menu packed with Peruvian treats! I can't remember all of the dishes, but they ranged from 3 different types of burgers (one with a fried egg) to stewy seafood dishes. Point is, they all sounded like things I want to try. Also, most of the fun dishes aren't on the overhead menu. Be sure to pick one up on the counter!! Arriving in town for business, we relied on Yelp to guide us in an area parked by countless strip malls and chains. The name of the place is fairly cheeky, never leaving you to guess it's where you'd find Peruvian Chicken. Nonetheless, the reviews were onto something. It was quite delicious and with lots of side dish options (though they were out of a few by the time we got there). My co-worker inquired as to what yucca was and we immediately received a sample. It's basically Cuban Fries (fried cassava) and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat. The chicken was juicy (mmm) and came off the bone easily. It's very peppery if you most know. The spicy sauce that came with was somewhere between mild and hot. I stayed away from the mayonnaise-like sauce. I scoffed down a 1/2 chicken with little embarrassment because it was so tasty. Was also excited that I was able to wash it down with some Coconut Juice! Only downsides were that while we were there, the TV had wrestling on and they unfortunately don't take AmEx, so I'll have to do an expense report when I get back. read more

This place deserves 5 stars. Probably the best food in Manassas for your money, and one of the best restaurants over all. I almost always get the whole chicken with two sides for takeout which is around $16. Among their sides, the FRIED RICE is an absolute STAND OUT. I'm not sure what it is about it, maybe the little shreds of chicken, but these guys could beat any Chinese restaurant in town at their own game when it comes to fried rice. Yucca is also very good. I decided to try this place at the recommendation of my friend at work. They opened at 10:00 and I arrived at 10:50. I waited for 20 minutes for my meal. No one said anything to me as I waited.....and waited....and waited. If it was really busy, I would totally understand but I was the ONLY customer there. Once my order was ready, someone did thank me for waiting. The food was really VERY tasty but the service was lacking so I don't know if I will be back. Super Chicken is just that - Super! Super moist and super tender with crispy skin seasoned to perfection. This is not chicken for the neat freaks. This is chicken for the hands on, dig in and love it to end folks who don't mind a bit of juice running down their hands and wrists. The yucca is tasty, and the sauces are flavorful. My one complaint is the same complaint I have with most places that have sauces - I always want more. The tiny little containers of green and yellow sauce are cute, but are not realistic for dipping. I've been going to this place for about 15 years on and off. The little man "owner" is a little prick. Very rude and selective on his service. Like I said a prick. The staff is alright. The food is good but almost every Chicken place is good. They're just everywhere now and days. The guy preparing my food forgot to put In my Fried Rice with Chicken (which is a $1 more). I gotta leave work to pick up the lunch and drop it off for my kids. I called them and they just flat out lied and said that they put in the rice. That was it. They denied it and denied it. The front door at the establishment also doesn't have a safety foot lever or arm lever for safe access. For some rice the dude making the food just straight up lied. The best chicken place is Pollo Rico in Arlington and maybe Sardis in Maryland. This place sucks and always has(Service). Imma eat this chicken but imma definitely not enjoy it. read more

It serves as a great fix for those who live in the Manassas/Centreville area. Great change up from Guapos who have sub par Pollo ala Brasa. The sides need some work.
