Honestly, I hate to say it but this place keeps going more and more downhill. I loved the concept at first but it is ran by teenagers that could care less about anything and everything. The last few visits, the cashier never greets people or even says "what can I get for you?" Just stands there into the void as their day is being ruined, one customer at a time. I still have had to go up to the counter and get my own food. Even though that seems to be something they're supposed to do. I had a group of two women tell me my order was up there last time. They saw my number and told me. The person supposed to be running them out was again, nowhere to be found. The last time I was here, the expo guy gave a girl her salad and she said "thank you so much! I have a quick question..." and he walked away and said "ask someone else". The girl and I looked at each other super wide eyed like "did he really just say that?". Tonight, I was craving a salad as well. I thought, super chix is open on Sundays and I've always wanted to check out their salads. According to every website under the sun, super chix is supposed to be open right now. The only thing making them not open is a sign on their door saying they prioritized a Christmas party over their schedule tonight. Don't get me wrong, Christmas parties are cool. It's crappy when it's a sign on the door telling you that once you've already drove out there. Especially when it is now the only place that's supposed to be open in the parking lot. Everywhere else is closed. If I would've known they were closed ahead of time, I would've went somewhere else and had a plan. I don't live "close" to Super Chix either. Multiple people have drove into the lot and tried to eat too. It's always the same reaction because yeah, it's frustrating when they are supposed to be open and decide not to be. Also, may I recommend not having your lights on and people in the business if you're soooo closed. This also makes it seem 100% like you are open. I can't see myself coming back at this point. They don't seem to care about people at all. I've tried but this has truly been the last straw. Had a pretzel m&m concrete custard. It pretty much was a McDonald's M&M McFlurry, which are great, but it's probably overhyped. Wasn't exceptional, but was good. I enjoyed it. My friend got a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream. I'd like to revisit and try a meal here, but since the restaurant highlights its chicken and custards, i'd expect the custard to be of higher quality. He did not request a review, he did not request a positive review. So we tried it again and the food was delicious as advertised. I appreciated the follow through by the manager. WOWZA! I went in with low expectations since I haven't a tried a good new restaurant in a longgg time. I can say that my expectations were met and highly exceeded. First the fries were so good, fresh cut and you have three choices(I got the rosemary pepper.) Also I love a good fried pickle and they were amazing! I got the bravco ranch breaded sandwich and the chicken was so crispy but it melted in my mouth. It was so tender and juicy. The bun must be potato bread and those were good as well. We finished our meal off with custard and it was so rich and smooth. Could not recommend this place enough. Only thing we didn't like is that they only had Pepsi products. Oh and the sauces... Finally, a decent Nashville Hot close enough for lunch. This is what I'd recommend for your all-purpose chicken sandwich needs (Popeye's is a bit cheaper and their chicken sandwich kicks butt, but they've only got two kinds and both are very generic). I was really happy with the quality and flavor of the chicken, the buns, and the trimmings. The pickles were especially good. No complaints about the fries. And if you order spicy, you will get spicy--psst, restaurants, this is an easy way to get an extra star out of me. We got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, buffalo, Nashville hot and regular chicken tenders, fries and the fried pickles. The sandwich was awesome!!! You have to eat it fast though as the bun will get soggy quick. I would like to have a crispy bun. The tenders were great, probably out favorite thing. The buffalo sauce was awesome!!! Okay, let me say that I'm more disappointed by what happened more so than the food being bad, though the food was not very good. I put in a take out order at around 2, for a 4:30 pick up. I showed up 8 minutes early, waited in line and was given my food that had been sitting on a table the whole time. I then drove 10 minutes home and proceeded to dish out the food to my family. I checked my email later and found out my food was actually ready for pick up at 4:16. That's a long time for food to sit and get gross. We were all very disappointed to bite into mostly cold soggy food. I don't think any of us finished any of our 7 sandwiches. The fries were gross, the fried pickles were cold (they were very clearly done LONG before the pick up). I actually stopped at Popeyes Chicken before I picked up my food at Super Chix so I could compare the spicy chicken sandwich. Popeyes was BY FAR the best sandwich out of the group! But it could have been that our food was done way before the pickup time. I understand the desire to get a head of orders, but this was very disappointing. I'm a recent transplant from Texas who went on a Mount Nebo hike and was driving back to SLC, hungry. Since it was Sunday, I was going to settle for whatever fast food I could find open. I drove by the Super Chix and excitedly thought "Wait, is that like OUR Super Chix?!" and immediately made a beeline (see, I'm already becoming a Utahn with the bee stuff!) to the restaurant. This is easily the best fast chicken we've had since moving here. That being said, it was not as good as the ones in Texas. The fries were great. The bevy of sauces was there and tasty, but very thin, like they had been watered down. Being Sunday, they were not crowded yet the tables were not particularly clean. The chicken was very good but not superlative as I'd come to expect from the Texas locations. If I didn't have anything to compare it to, I might give it 5 stars. I miss the local craft soda choices in the soft drink dispenser and luxuriously thick sauces and chicken breasts the size of your head. But it's still better than the rest, so I'll be back when I want a taste of Texas. read more

I have seen positive reviews. But let's be honest Their not-so-secret endeavor to make the most amazing chicken sandwiches and tenders in the known universe was ruined by the old oil and lack of seasoning. We ordered two different sandwiches, two tenders, rosemary pepper fries, cheese fries and two of their to-go ice custards from the freezer. Never in my life have a been so disappointed in fried chicken. Even the fry sauce couldn't help cover up the lack of salt or seasoning on the chicken sandwiches and tenders. The fries were tasing as if they had been fried in oil from an old McDonalds that has since gone out of business. The rosemary pepper fries had no flavor of rosemary, and the cheese fries had a few drips of a cheese sauce on them. But again, no matter what you did you try and get the fries to taste good... the old oil ruined them before they even left the fryer. So in hopes the redeeming factor would be the custard, we opened them and they were frozen solid. We left the store and let them thaw on the drive home. Once we finally got to experience the custard, we realized that 2 for $10 was an awful value. Maybe it was that it was picked on 6/14/20 and we bought them on 7/1/20... or maybe it was that their base isn't a quality flavor. No matter the reason, the custard did not redeem any part of the dining experience. I'm sure the intent is there to make a quality meal, but with no seasoning, old oil and a base custard of blandness... it has missed the mark. Please! Please! Please! This place was SO packed on a Saturday around noon. I felt like everyone in the area only chose to eat here. Although it was packed, the line moved quickly. We got the Nashville Hot breaded sandwich, Buffalo Ranch breaded sandwich, rosemary pepper fries, and their flavor of the week (Oreo cheesecake) frozen custard. They have a sauce bar with LOTS of sauces to choose from. We tried almost every sauce there was and it was quite satisfying. The Nashville Hot sandwhich was quite bland, so we tried dipping in the Nashville sauce but it tasted watered down. The Buffalo ranch sandwich was really good though. We tried the Korean BBQ sauce and it tasted quite good but rather a fancy teriyaki sauce. The signature sauce was good too and tasted like a burger sauce? The Oreo cheesecake custard was good but needed more Oreo cause it just tasted like cheesecake with random Oreo chunks. The custard was prematurely prepared, as I saw it sitting out waiting for the accompanying food so it melted when it arrived to my table. I had a really great experience at Super Chix. I was hungry after an appointment in Pleasant Grove, and this popped up as a suggestion. I hadn't ever tried it before, so I gave it a shot. It is located right off the freeway- quick access. It also has ample parking around the building. They're also open on Sundays! Woo! I ordered their Crispy Avocado Sandwich and added on a fried chicken filet. It was mouthwatering delicious! The best chicken sandwich I have had. I would definitely order this again. I also ordered their regular Rosemary Pepper fries. These were tasty, as well, but a huge portion! I would recommend getting a regular rather than a large, unless you are sharing. A grease bucket for sure, which is totally cool, but this place is heavy. Heavy breading, heavy frying, heavy seasoning. They have a few lighter options but for their core menu, you are looking at very southern style fried chicken. Go with confidence and enjoy. They have above average food and it won't break the bank. The quality of chicken is pretty good. It's plump and juicy and fresh. For 5 chicken tenders it was almost $8 which is quite steep though. I don't think the size and quality justifies the price tag. They weren't very big. But they tasted pretty good and the sauces were really flavorful. The sandwich was mediocre. I've had much better chicken sandwiches. The chicken itself was good but the whole product was very underwhelming. The coleslaw was tasted like mass produced slaw. Typical creamy slaw with carrots and stuff. They used what seemed to be simple potato bread for a bun. The sandwich was very mass produced with zero charm or heart. Disappointing. They have pretty good sides. The fried pickles were top notch, I'd come just for those. Fries were OK. Once again, everything was very over fried, almost burnt. Not to mention you could tell the oil was being over used. Like so bad. They need to replace their oil more frequently. During lunch time I understand it's crazy busy and it's hard, but the breading was blackened from the soiled frying oil. It took away from the otherwise decent flavor and texture of their chicken. If you're gonna run a place that is 95% fried food, yall better develop a system that doesn't run on bad oil. Overall the place is not bad and i may return. But due to a lack of quality frying skills and just an overall sloppy execution of their meals, I am not eager. I went here with my friend and wasn't planning on eating because I already had dinner but everything looked too good. no way was I going to pass up custard, it's my favorite. Their battered chicken is amazing so soft and easy to bite through. I got the rosemary fries which were great and they gave so many other seasonings to choose for the fries. They had an orange creamsicle custard when I went, which was delicious. Custard was just a little bit soft and melted by the time it came out but good nonetheless.
