    Pot sticker soup.

This is a great place to eat. Nice and cozy ambiance to bring the family. When l arrived around 7:45 there were quite a bit of patrons there. The waiter, probably the owner was awesome and greeted us kindly. I had the potsticker soup and egg rolls, food was hot and quality ingredients. I really enjoyed my visit. As I was leaving the owner asked me my name and shook my had. You don't get that anymore. Overall, great experience. I have this business and 8.

    Shrimp and Beef Pho Noodle

The Pho here is very delicious and they have many to choose from. The shrimp and beef pho noodle is extremely tasty! As for the service, they're welcoming and attentive.

No one greeted us. We just asked some folks and they said to just sit down. They finally took our order. The menu read steak noodle and combination. We ordered 3 of those, another soup, and some chicken wings. Only 2 soups came and the the chicken wing. After I realized all these other tables were getting their food and not ours, we asked. They forgot. They got our last 2 soups and it just came with the steak. I was kinda disappointed. The soup was bland. They need to improve their soup. They did realize I was a little upset about the soup, so they did bring me some tendon and tripe.

The food is really good. We're lucky to have them in Hollister if you're looking for Pho. The spring rolls are made very clean as well.

We arrived at M Noodle & Cafe for a Friday dinner recently. The restaurant is located in a small plaza off Monterey Road and 10th street in Gilroy. Parking is accessible in the medium size parking lot. The restaurant is an adequate size with plenty of tables for dine in. There is a cultural modern decor that gave an authentic ambience. The vibe was family friendly and welcoming. They have been around for over 6 years now. We ordered vermicelli with bbq pork and shrimp, beef ball noodle, and a beef stew with tendon. Everything was delicious. The broth was warm and flavorful. The tendon beef and bbq pork was tender and juicy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at M Noodle & Cafe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food came out quick and the price point was fair. We hope to be back when we are in the area.

And it was delicious especially after being outside on a cold night. The servings are very generous as 6 out of 8 of us had to take it home. Plus everyone really liked their soup as well. Seems like this is a family owned place as if it felt like I was visiting their home and receiving some homecooking. It is funny that they still have a Now Open sign outside though when I saw that the first review was 7 years ago. But I guess technically they are now open. lol

I was a big fan of this place when it first opened and used to rave about their pho. Unfortunately,…read moremy visit on 5/2 was a huge letdown. From the moment I walked in, the service began with a bad start. The staff were chatting and joking behind the counter and too distracted to notice me. I had to grab a menu myself and ask in a loud tone if I could sit anywhere just to get their attention. Once seated, it took nearly 10 minutes for a server to come by. I ordered a boba drink and pho with brisket. The server returned after another 8 minutes to say they were out of both the boba flavor I wanted and the brisket. After I reordered, the replacement boba arrived extremely sweet -- basically tasted like watered-down sugar syrup with almost no tea flavor. The pho was even more disappointing.. the broth was watery and bland, there was very little beef, and the bowl was light on noodles and toppings. It felt like a shadow of what they used to serve. It's sad to see a spot that was once one of the best pho places in Salinas (in my opinion) decline this sharply. The restaurant was unusually empty, and the few other customers looked just as unimpressed. I understand rising food and restaurant operating costs, but cutting quality this much will only drive more people away. I rarely leave negative reviews and I don't consider myself to be such a picky eater, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. I'm not sure I'll be back.

Ordered pho, shaking beef, banh xeo, and others that I could not remember. Their pho was good, big portion and full of meat. Unfortunately the sirloin was overcooked and the other parts of the meat have too much fats in them, so it was down on the score. Their shaking beef was also meh, very thin and overly sweet, probably not their strongest dish. Banh xeo was full of meat and fillings, but not particularly crispy. All in all, it was tasty but only lacking a bit here and there. Their service was pretty good though. Their restaurants are also huge, which is a plus.

As an Asian person myself, I respect the hustle because I know restaurant life is hard and they probably deal with all kinds of customers daily. That being said, you can definitely feel the difference between locations. The Fremont location has always felt warmer, friendlier, and more relaxed. Maybe it's the location or the type of customers they deal with, I'm not sure, but the Gilroy location gave a much more controlling vibe that I personally didn't like. At other TK locations, they usually let customers pack their own condiments or freely grab what they need. Here, everything felt very monitored and limited. We ordered two dishes and only got tiny amounts of chili oil and toppings. I even accidentally grabbed an extra straw because my drink straw was already packed in the bag, but honestly the overall vibe made me assume they probably forgot it. The way she looked at me after mentioning it made the interaction feel awkward, like I did something wrong over a straw. I understand restaurants are trying to save money because everything is expensive now, and they probably deal with customers taking too much. I get it. But the overall vibe just came across as overly strict and cheap to me personally. Even paying extra for pork grinds felt weird because instead of putting it in a separate container so I could actually see the portion, they just tossed it into the bowl. I also asked for the rice to be packed separately so it wouldn't get soggy by the time my husband got home, and it felt like I was asking for too much. The food itself was still really good, which is why this review is disappointing to write. This is the closest TK to my house, so I genuinely hope they stay open and do well. I just hope the customer service becomes a little warmer and less controlling when it comes to condiments and small requests. Not trying to bash an Asian-owned business at all -- just being honest as someone who's been eating TK for years. I'd still come back for takeout because the food is solid. I did kill my soup at home tho!

The wait was fairly long, and when I opened the container, the buns looked noticeably deflated. They resembled flattened soup dumplings more than the fluffy steamed buns I was expecting. I've had plenty of pork buns over the years, and these immediately looked off. Unfortunately, the taste didn't improve matters. The filling was sparse, bland, and unremarkable. It was mostly plain pork with very little flavor or texture. For the price, I would have expected a more generous and flavorful filling, perhaps with additional ingredients to add some depth and balance. I've had traditional pork buns at dim sum restaurants with simple pork fillings that were excellent, but these lacked the seasoning and preparation needed to stand out. The bun itself was dense rather than light and fluffy, and the bottom had become soggy from sitting directly in the container without any paper liner. A good dipping sauce could have helped, but the only options available were soy sauce and chili sauce. A vinegar based dipping sauce would have complemented the buns much better and added some much needed brightness. If you're already in the area and just need a quick bite, these might do the job, especially if you're sharing an order. However, I wouldn't recommend making a special trip for them. The quality didn't justify the price, and the experience felt geared more toward tourists than food quality. The one highlight was the branded reusable bag that came with the purchase. It was well designed, practical, and honestly ended up being my favorite part of the experience. Overall, I wouldn't order the pork buns again. They were expensive for what you received and ultimately left me disappointed.
