We used to go to this Buffet all the time years ago with friends. It was a hotspot to hit after a con. Coming back, this place brought back good memories for us. But that's about the only good thing it brought back. We were seated right away, and the table we were set at was sticky. the service was okay. The food on the buffet was old and there were many items that needed refilled. The place itself seems really dirty. There is a water fountain thing by the door, and it is huge. It doesn't seem to work though, which is sad, as they do have Koi in the little "Pond" part of the fountain. There are other better buffets to go to than this one. I would suggest finding a different spot to eat at. read more

I went here as it was highly recommended by my massage therapist. I had driven by several times and was curious anyway. Finally we went last night. I was expecting more of a SEAFOOD buffet (as the title says) and not a Chinese buffet...which is what I got. Sure there was some seafood on the buffet....but it was just 'okay.' I went during dinner, about 6:30. Kids were running and screaming, but that isn't on the restaurant. What was on them was the soggy, tasteless, hard, cold options on their buffet. I went with friends on Sunday afternoon. This is a very nice place for the price. The service was good but slow at times. There was a nice variety of seafood, traditional American-Asian dishes, some regular stuff like pizza and friend chicken, and more daring foods like squid, frog legs, crayfish and prawns. For a change of pace from the usual Chinese buffets, I like to come to the Super Seafood Buffet. They have the usual buffet options, but when I go, I head for the ones I don't find anywhere else. The wasabi shrimp is one of my favorites. It's battered shrimp in this sweet sauce with a zip because of the wasabi that's not overpowering. Be daring and try the things in the wicker steamers! I'm not big on Chinese buffet desserts, but I've found some unique desserts that I like in those steamers. One is called water chestnut cake which is a gummy gelatin square with, of all things, pieces of water chestnut in it. The flavor is delicate, but I like it. I'm not fond of overly sweet things. There's also been another gummy thing filled with a coconutty cream and covered slightly with powdered sugar. There's also been a steamed pastry filled with mashed sweet beans. It may not be what Americans would think of for dessert, but it doesn't mean it's not good! read more

Been here a few times and have to say was impressed each and every time. Please don't let what is obviously one bad review from someone who probably doesn't have anything nice to say about anything sway you. The food is always hot or chilled depending on which it should be as is expected but not always the case at some buffets. I have not been to another Buffet that offed so many different sea foods, hence the name. When we first found this restaurant they offered oysters on the half shell, which was a pleasant (and welcome) surprise, but unfortunately they have taken them off the menu. I don't really understand why everyone's giving this place such low reviews. It's nothing spectacular, sure, but it's a decent buffet. The price is okay considering it's Chinese food and Chinese takeout tends to be a bit more on the expensive side. I went during lunch and none of the food that wasn't supposed to be cold was cold. Then again, it was around 1 pm that I went, and the place opens at 11. I thought the inside was kinda pretty with all the decorations and multicolored lights. Admittedly, the name of the place is kind of misleading. While there was a pretty nice seafood selection, it obviously wasn't the main thing of the place. It's a Chinese buffet more so than a seafood buffet. The food is pretty good. I've had better, but I've also had worse. I do wish they had a better sushi selection. I took my kids out to eat last night Friday night March February 28th and all four of us got sick from eating there. There crabs I couldn't even tell if they're crab legs or crab legs or frogs they were so shriveled out and dry and old I couldn't even eat anything. What little bit I did eat made me sick and every play I filled I sent back filled because the food was disgusting and had been sitting out way too long. My three kids are now sick with food poisoning and I'm sick with food poisoning but not as bad because I was smart enough not to eat much of it. Super Seafood Buffet was not so super. Walk in and it is older and dated. Place has a lot of potential if they were clean it up and freshen it up a bit. The large fountain/pond when you first walk in the door looks like it would be beautiful if it was up and running properly and full of water. There was some water and some fish. The place looked empty. We stood at the door for a few minutes before the waitress seen us standing there. The hostess was seated around the corner eating and did not see or hear us. Um, there is a door alarm that sounds when you walk in the door. So we are seated at dated tables and booths. The side of the restaurant with the buffet part was very dark like they did not want to turn the lights on. There were 2 cold islands, first one with salad stuff, peel and eat shrimp, an ice bin for mussels but nothing in it but ice, and sushi. Second cold island was all bought desserts like cake, cookies....stuff bought from GFS. Then there are several hot islands. Not much seafood for being a seafood buffet for $10.99 a person. There was some shrimp in dishes and mostly imitation crab, deep fried and breaded tilapia heads, whole shrimp, blue crab (just the legs, no bodies) and limp frog legs. They had several soups. Daughter and I both tried the Seafood soup with tofu, water chestnuts, imitation crab, and peas. We added green onions to it. Not that great. Their fried rice was very bland. Crab Rangoon was pretty good. The waitress kept plates removed but never refilled drinks and was standing near our booth speaking loudly with the hostess almost the whole time we were there. My wife and myself went to this establishment before several times and over the years the quality of the food has been going down hill.. Years ago their food was satisfactory but the 2 times before hand we notice the food was to cold and a possible health hazard. We went the last time on January 1, 2020 about 1300 hours on the afternoon and my wife ordered the usual the shrimp .. She made a comment that it was a bit cool and I advised not to eat but this was after she had 3 of them.. We left about 45 minutes later and went home .. About 1600 hours my wife started vomiting profusely so I quickly took to the ER at one of the local hospitals . Within 1 hour the ER doctor came out and the diagnosis was Food Poisoning and she spent the night for observation // People I would advold this place with a passion as I read other reviews with the same ending // read more

The go-to place if you are going to eat your money's worth. There's steamed salmon and fried calamari for the conservative eaters. Frog legs and crawfish for the more daring foodies. Servers and owners do a great job of making sure the buffet is well-stocked and the sauces, soups, and salad dressings aren't crosscontaminated. I personally found most of the offerings to be heavily fried, hence, my opting for the Mongolian grill whenever I dine at Super Seafood Buffet. The sushi is on par with your grocery store sushi. (Translate: Skip!) Desserts tend to be hit or miss. I've usually made a beeline for the pineapple stuffed lychees over at the fruit bar. The restaurant interior design and decor are quite impressive; the lighting certainly adds an aesthetic component. Servers and owners are cordial for the most part; they're quick to remove dishes as well as to refill beverages. It's been a while since I stepped foot in SSB so quality may or may not have decreased. Typed seafood buffet into my gps and this is what came up. Came here for dinner and thought it was pretty damn good. Crab legs were good and plentiful. Honey cashew shrimp were delicious. Sushi was eh, next time ill stay away. Flounder was tasty and so was many of the chicken dishes. Shrimp dishes were good. I am there at LEAST once a week and I get the EXACT same experience every time! In short? Hot food is hot. Cold food is cold. Selection? Unseen anywhere else in Columbus. Can I underline that? Quality? Consistently EXCELLENT! Having been there at least once/week for 3 years now, they have never once waivered in their excellency! The price? It's almost embarrassing to walk out the door only having paid less than 14.00 for the buffet and a soda. And $3 for tip seems like not enough. Yes, the food and service is that excellent! Went there this evening at around 7:30. Waited 10 minutes to be seated when there were 4 people in the restaurant. Going to the buffet, it was pretty obvious that the food had been on there for at least 3 hours, and nothing had been changed. The sushi was room temp, the dumplings had hardened into plastic, and everything that was supposed to be crunchy was soggy. The food was just completely inedible. My girlfriend and I ate about half a plate and left. I paid my bill without bickering, but told the cashier that the food was disgusting and had obviously not been refreshed since the initial dinner rush. She didn't say much to that. I kept the half plate I ate to things that are reasonably safe, surimi crab, peanut butter chicken.... Eat the seafood at your own risk. If you do you are a brave soul. read more

The shrimp were flaccid, flabby, soggy, sagging, splitting tubes of rotting animal flesh, floating languidly in a fetid bath of malodorous swill. And you go to complain about the food to the owner. She says in very broken English, we have over 200 items. I seriously considered dining and dashing, but after the "meal" I had just ate, I figured I wouldn't be able to run very far or fast.
