Made a reservation for dinner about a week in advance and yes, told them it was our anniversary. We got there a few minutes early. They got us seated right on time. Nice little card and decorations on the table to celebrate us. Nice touch. Monika came by with a smile, gave us a minute to look over the drink menu, brought us water and asked if we had questions. Drinks are ordered and they came quickly. We got a chance to finally look around and found it to be a very relaxing atmosphere. We could not resist the prime rib egg rolls. Very crunchy exterior with slices of prime rib inside. The dipping sauce had a great flavor but I copied not decide on the ingredients. Just know you want to ask for more. I don't get seafood at home. My wife's idea of seafood has Gortons on the label. So when I saw the seafood trio I had to get it. Really really good. Shrimp, scallop, salmon that all had great flavor and were prepared very well. My wife loves gnocchi so the short rib version was her choice. I got the leftovers the next day and they were still good. Since we were celebrating I got the celebration cheesecake. Dense but tasty. Lots of crunchy extras to dip into if you want. She got the obligatory crème brûlée. There were no leftovers for me. Dang. Monika was a dream to work with. Fun, personable, professional and just a good person to deal with. Make sure to notice her jewelry. There is a good story behind it. This experience might convince us to go to upscale restaurants more! Thanks Monika!

This restaurant offers a really nostalgic, traditional steakhouse experience with dark wood…read morepaneling and an upscale feel. I came here on a cold March evening with my colleagues for a team dinner after a two-day conference. My co-worker was kind enough to tell the restaurant we were celebrating my birthday, so they had decorated our table with some cute birthday confetti and had a card for me. Such a nice touch! I wish I had thought to take pics, but I was so exhausted. Now, on to the food! We got calamari for the table as a starter. It was sprinkled with feta, which I enjoyed. It was cooked nicely and had great flavor. Oddly, we got served butter and sour cream instead of the black pepper aioli and voodoo sauce that was supposed to come with it. Thankfully, they realized it and brought us the right sauces. For my main, I got the Blackened Seared Scallops, a really unique dish that came topped with pork belly and served on creamed corn with tomato jam and bourbon syrup. This leaned to the sweet side but the smoky flavor of the pork belly gave great balance to the delicate scallops and the sweetness. And that bourbon syrup was addictive. I cleaned my plate! I would definitely recommend this dish if you like a sweet/savory combo. None of us ordered drinks or dessert on this go-around, but the manager stopped by to chat with us. Again, really nice touch. One slightly worrying thing: one of my colleagues is allergic to mushrooms. He ordered something that didn't mention mushrooms on the menu, but it was on the plate. Thankfully he noticed it before he started eating and they remade it for him without mushrooms. So if you have food allergies, be sure to ask questions because it may include an ingredient the menu doesn't mention. That said, our servers were wonderful and it was an overall pleasant experience.

Came here when my first choice nearby was closed for the day. I'd heard a ton of good things about…read moretheir other location, of course, and meant to go eventually but forgot this one was here. Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. I wasn't famished and didn't want to wait for chicken or fish, so I got an assortment of sides thinking that would be quicker. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. They gave me the side plate special, three sides and cornbread, which helped with the price. I was headed home and not thirsty so I didn't get a drink, but based on conversations with other customers I missed out on the lemonade and sweet tea. I'll be back for those and maybe a rib-fish combo. And to try the mac. Get here if you can!

They have family photos inside that helped give their space a cozy vibe. It's not big enough to dine in but there's some tables available if you want to wait on your order. I tried the fish and chicken plate with macaroni and greens...a win! I could tell by how hot the plate was when I got it that it was gonna be good. The greens were well seasoned and the mac was nice and cheesy. Excited to have found this place.

I had just come from PT and was hungry. I did a Yelp search and this is the 1st Pl., Yelp directed…read moreme too, so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did I was probably greeted by the hostess. Whom placed me at a very nice table. I looked over the menu, which had a little something for everybody. To be honest I liked that, plus there wasnt an over abundance of items... it was that goldilocks moment... just right. I decided to try the grape leaves. I asked if they had made them themselves and they did -which is what pushed me in the direction. You get two very stuffed grape leaves --that are definitely made in house. I was not really a fan of the lemon sauce that they use. I didnt dislike it, I felt it was a tad too thick and not enough lemon. However, I seemed to eat all of it, which is something I dont do at most places, so despite it needing more lemon I must of liked it more than I initially realized. As far as ambience, it still has the footprint of the former sushi restaurant. the bar is completely unchanged. however, they have these lovely little lilac flowers or Japanese cherry flowers hanging from trellises throughout the entire back dining room. makes it look lovely. This transforms it into its own identity. i liked it. They had soft music playing. I wasn't sure if it was Mediterranean or Spanish, but I enjoyed it. I liked my time there The one thing that needs mentioned is the pricing of the salad proteins. This is confusing. I was going to order a salad but the menu had it listed the price of a salad. Them below protiens. The price listed on menu is not in addition to salad. Its the final price of the salad. I did not realize that and thus didnt order the salad. I also didn't like being quoted 10.80 for my total and then having it changed because I used American Express to 11 something. Personally, I feel businesses should make it a little easier for their customer in the cost of doing business should be at the restaurants expense in that situation. I probably would've tipped more had they not popped up my price Tbo Would I come back? absolutely. However, I will bring cash the next time so my bill doesnt go up. Lol.

Pretty loud and hard to hear, but that vibe is OK for a boil place to me. Only waited about 15 minutes. Two adults, two elementary kids. I like Lees of all the boil places because they have good options for non seafood people too. Both kids found wings, chicken fettuccini, etc. Started with the hushpuppies, about 12 smallish sized but a perfect starter for 4 people. Came with ketchup, I wish they would do a remoulade option. My wife and I split the duo (snow crab, shrimp) and I decided to add a LB of blue crab. Medium homemade juice sauce (always....it's sooo damn good). Snow crab was really good this time, snappy not bendy like some places. knuckles sweet and not overly briny. Perfectly cooked and came apart and out easily. Shrimp were just a tad overcooked but not much. Potatoes were perfect. We sub +1 tater for the egg. Corn is never good at these places. :) gotta do those fresh not frozen to get it right. The blue crab had good flavor. However, crazy overcooked which made getting meat out damn near impossible. Stringy instead of in chunks and stuck totally to the shell. I mostly gave up. My biggest complaint is they have ZERO typical utensils. No crackers/pickers/hammers/etc. I managed to cut myself trying to get into a snow crab large claw, and the lack of pickers made the blue crab impossible to eat. I'm bringing my own next time....serious. Finished with the fried oreos which were a perfect finish to the meal. 6 oreos for $6 was a great price.

We sat at the bar and got Zack, who was easily one of the best parts of the visit. He was chill, helpful, and gave honest food insight without trying to upsell. Ask for him if you go. My drinks? * Crushed Pineapple Martini - smooth, not syrupy, with an actually-fresh pineapple wedge * Heatwave - tequila, citrus, jalapeño, tajín rim. Bold but balanced. My dining partner had the Pomegranate followed by the Lychee Martini -- floral and light, with a soft dessert finish. Food-wise: * Bang Bang Shrimp leaned saucy (mayo-forward), but still came out hot and seasoned. Not my go-to texture, but my partner liked them. * Mussels Josephine were the real win -- buttery, garlicky white wine broth with fresh tomato, herbs, and tender mussels. Every shell opened, every bite flavorful. Served with surprisingly good bread and herbed oil that wasn't just decoration -- it actually tasted like something. My dining partner had never tried mussels before and ended up loving them. Said the texture fell between shrimp and lobster -- tender and briny in the best way. Would I go back? Yes. Not because it was flashy, but because the food was hot, the prices were fair, and the experience felt easy and intentional. Sometimes that's all you need.
