Came here for dinner at 7:45 on a Monday. By 8:20 I am still waiting for my food. I go to ask where it is and the "manager" acts like a 12 year old and blames me that I have the ticket she needed to hang to have them ma ke my food. I reminded her she gave it to me, she said I know and continued to whine like a child that it was somehow my fault she gave me the wrong ticket.... A little run down and not exactly clean. But surprising the place has a great vibe. Decor is a hodge podge of old and miscellaneous things, like old license plates, photos, prints, signs. The guy who took our order was friendly. I got the pulled pork sandwich with green beans and potato salad. Pulled pork was good and 6 great sauces to choose from. Green beans were right from the can. Potato salad was good but nothing special. I was surprised for a BBQ place that the sides were not better. I had a good portion of food and I enjoyed it. Very good BBQ. I'm so glad I now work in Eureka, so I can visit normally. They have some of the best Sauces I've ever had... its what seperates an amateur BBQ joint from a good one. They do a good job preparing the meat. I have had some not so good cuts, which could be mitigated, but they are popular and very busy. I love the 20oz pork steak, it falls right off the bone. Many locals said it was the best, so we took their word! I had the full rack of ribs with baked beans & fries. Always enjoy scooping up the beans with my fries, these were no exception. Beans were classic BBQ style & delicious, fries could have been frozen from a bag but still tasted ok. The ribs were very good! They were smoked and had a dry rub which needed no sauce. My friend had the pulled pork, he said it melted in his mouth and highly recommends it! Outstanding! I had the beef brisket platter. I chose applesauce and green beans for my sides. The apple sauce was homemade and chunky but with a soft texture. Hard to describe but it was excellent! Loved the beans too! The brisket was perfect!! It's served without sauce so you can choose your own; Texas, Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas and a championship. Start off getting good your two sides. All are good. But the top two are the cucumber and tomatoes and the baked beans, keep it simple and stay with pulled anything. I prefer the chicken or the pork. Six delicious sauces to down your meat in. I love the Kansas City with the St. Louis running a close second. My secret is to always add some sauce to my baked beans. Lots of locals eat here but don't try buying any alcohol. It ain't here. Brisket might be awesome but they ran out before we got there. Beats a famous Dave's and Bandanas for quality flavor. Amazing barbeque. Seriously, as good as it gets. This is my favorite barbeque restaurant. Their pulled pork is amazing (that's what I stick to), but there are a LOT of different dishes that you can get... anything from barbeque nachos to barbeque salad. All of which are amazing. The sides here are spectacular too. Just very good, down home sides that you'd find at a 4th of July picnic, but with a little extra umph. My favorites are the jalapeño cornbread and the green beans. And don't forget dessert... I think their cajun bread pudding is made with angel tears. Seriously. What makes this place great is that they do about 6-7 different sauces. They have their original, but if you're particular to a certain type of barbeque sauce, they have it. And not only do they have the sauce, but they have perfected it. Very delicious barbecue. Stopped into the restaurant when driving by. Ordered burnt ends with slaw, green beans and jalapeno cornbread. Was very satisfied and couldn't eat it all. Jalapeno cornbread was sweet but good. Boyfriend got pick two with pork and beef with potato salad and slaw with a bun instead of toast. He maybe finished half of the meat with the 12oz order. They had six different sauces with all a slight sweet side. Also, the meat was slightly salty by itself. Similar to a Memphis style bbq. Meat was delicious and tender! Now that was a GREAT meal. Drove over an hour to try this BBQ, and it was well worth the drive. We had a turkey sandwich with sides, and a chicken sandwich with different sides. The meat was delicious; fresh, smoked, melt in your mouth goodness. The staff was very attentive. They really appreciated our business and it showed. Many times the wait staff asked how your enjoying your meal but never stop long enough to make eye contact and really listen. Well this places cares, especially when all we had to say was "This is Amazing Food", Plus having a choice of BBQ sauces, yummy. Mine favorite was Kansas City Sauce. We also received a sample of the brisket tips (end). That is the choice next time; tender, and juicy after cooked for hours. It is a must to try. Fantastic gem right off 44 that we found while on a road trip. The food is fantastic, with many different types of sauce ranging from St. Louis, to Carolina and Tennessee. My favorite was the house Championship which was awesome with the slider trio. You can choose your own meats - the pork was rich and just melted in your mouth, the burnt ends were divine. The best part was how little f the owner was - guiding us through the menu and joking with my 7-year old daughter. She ended up getting a tour of the kitchen too! Anyone who rates super smokers higher than a one star has never had sugar fire or pappys. Came in on a Saturday night (6pm). 4 people in the entire place. Had the brisket. 100% frozen and heated up in the microwave. Worst brisket I've ever had. Ever. Employees were nice that's the only saving grace for this place. They're lucky there's not many food choices in Eureka or another bbq place here cause RIP if there was. Service was fast, but that was because at noon on a Saturday, there were only two couples there besides us...and they appeared to be from out of town, too. That should have been our sign. The place is conveniently located off of the highway, the reviews seemed hit and miss, and we really wanted to have BBQ since we were in the St Louis area. And, driving back to Oklahoma from Michigan, we really wanted something other than the usual fast food. You will see a couple of signs on the highway letting you know when to exit, but I recommend that you keep on truckin'! My husband and I were traveling with my son, nephew and his gf...all 21 - 25 yrs old. We ordered chicken, sliced brisket alone and as a sandwich, potato salad, mac and cheese, and beans. I wish I could say that some of it was good, but none of it was! There was no smell of BBQ when you pull up to the restaurant and go in and the smoker didn't appear to be running (maybe meats smoked previously??). All of the meats are flavorless and the chicken is really disgusting. It is fatty with skin and cartilage. The BBQ sauce options are all just okay...nothing to bank on improving the flavor of the meats. The beans are literally canned pork and beans that appeared to have just had BBQ sauce added with a ton of spices. You can literally see the spices in them and they changed the texture. Unfortunately, their spice attempt didn't improve the taste. The mac and cheese has spiraled pasta with a bland, very liquid cheese sauce. The bread that is given with the meals is dried out Texas "toast" that is not toasted or buttered. It is as though it had sat out all day the previous day and the night before or been in a dehydrator. I did not eat the potato salad. The lack of attention to food prep and quality made me not want to risk getting sick on the road. I threw it away. The menu options appear to be a few meat options and the sides were things easily dispensed from a can and prepared by the young employees. Before getting back on the road, we visited the restrooms. Toilet paper and paper towels were missing from both the men's and women's restrooms. Staff were notified and two girls went in to the men's room to install toilet paper. There is supposedly only one stall in there, but it took the two girls almost 10 minutes to install the toilet paper. Not sure what they were doing in there?! They still needed to put paper in the girl's bathroom...we sat in booths outside the restrooms waiting for them to finish doing what should have been done before opening for the day. I gave only two stars because it was the lowest point of our week-long trip. I didn't give one star because I feel that there is potential and the employees were very nice. read more

Heard about Super Smokers on DGS. Figured with Dave Glover being a former BBQ competitor, he would know good BBQ. Obviously not. We arrived on Sunday around 1:00. Fully expected it to be busy. Only two other tables had patrons. I ordered the 16 oz turkey and brisket with potato salad and beans. Hubby ordered 16 oz turkey with potato salad and cole slaw. Good: We enjoyed the cole slaw. It is a sweet and spicy slaw that is better than most. The other sides were just average - nothing better than you can get at a local grocery store deli. We also enjoyed the Competition BBQ sauce - sweet with a nice little kick. Bad: The turkey was COLD and incredibly DRY - all of it - not one moist piece on either of our plates! It is rare for both my husband and I to both be disappointed in a meal. The turkey was so dry - even with a good dousing of the Competition BBQ sauce - that neither of us finished our portions. I was equally disappointed in the brisket. It was very fatty and TOUGH! One of the slices on my plate was complete fat. Like the turkey, it was also COLD. We did not mention our disappointment to the staff. We only saw staff when we ordered and when they brought out our meal - there was a lot of joking and laughing going on in the kitchen that could be heard in the dining room. It was obvious that their attention was not on the meals that were being served. We live almost an hour away and will drive a good distance for BBQ. We found Super Smokers BBQ to be SUBPAR and definitely not worth the $ or the drive. We will not make this trip again. read more

We tried it the first time today for a lunch takeaway order. Not the cheapest, but fair enough prices. Brisket and half-rack of babyback. They were properly smoked, quite tasty. Pretty moist, juicy, nice bark and rub. Sliiightly dry but I know with BBQ it might have been smoked the day before. Or maybe smoked last night. It could be either and I say thumbs up. Tender but with a proper bite and texture to the meat. Sides were good too. (Cole slaw, mac and cheese, beans.) The cornbread was fine for the style but personally I like a spicier, butterier more cornmeal/less flour cornbread. Not a big deal either way to me. Anyway I will be ordering here again. Super Smokers was the first of the great BBQ joints in STL.I make it a point to stop here and pick up anytime I have cause to drive past Eureka. I am a big fan of their ribs and sauces. This trip I inquired if they had any burnt ends. The young girl at the front chuckled as she asked the equally young guy in the kitchen if they had burnt ends. When I got home, I saw that they had cubed some normal brisket and gave it to me as "burnt ends". As a BBQ judge and competitor I had to laugh as they figured a customer would never know the difference. This is not a great thing and hopefully Terry and the management team will educate their staff. Will stop again and you should too. read more

Awesome bbq! Stopped by on our way from Phoenix to Buffalo and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious brisket done perfectly! Nice bark from a simple rub, tender and moist in that perfect pull-apart way. The wife had the pulled pork, which I snuck my fork into once or twice and wow.. delish! Great flavor! None too sweet or spicy, just right. Moist and tender. Must've been tired cuz I missed the burnt ends on the menu, guess I'll have to try next time around! Mac and cheese was a little dry but the flavor was immense. I'm not a big fan of corn bread since mom's Johnny cake when I was a kid so I can't really say much about that, but it was decent enough (you guys still get five stars in my book). Now, I've had bbq from Texas to Georgia to Kentucky and all points in between and these guys rate with the national champs. The worst BBQ we ever had. We sampled the burnt ends, chicken and turkey. The burnt ends were smothered in a BBQ sauce that sucked, making it impossible to tell the quality of the meat. Their traditional pulled pork sandwiches and ribs are just as amazing as the specials they offer (try the BBQuban when available). I've lived in Eureka for 20 years and have yet to find a place that even comes close to the yummiest BBQ! BTW -- My husband and I had them cater our wedding in 2012 and they were fantastic, professional, generous with the servings, and were fairly priced. Super Smokers offers 6 different BBQ sauces on the table for your choosing but here's a secret - ask for the Carolina Thin (love this sauce combined with the KC or St. Louis sauces). Their bread pudding is a Louisiana based secret recipe that they sadly won't share - BUT they are overly generous with their portions. One bread pudding will be enough for at least two people. Terrible. Worst smoked meat I've ever had. I don't remember what we had. But it had a full slab, chicken leg quarter, pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich and 4 sides. Carolina sauce was good. Everything else was flavorless and bland. Except the ribs they had a sweet n spicy taste from the apple wood smoke but they were so dry and tough. Definitely not worth the almost $50 we spent. Way better places out there so don't waste your time and money here drive out of eureka and get some quality food. read more
