I had a great experience at Super Sweet Nails today with Nickie. I checked Yelp reviews before I made an appointment, so I thought it was right for me to update the world on my own experience. Let me start off by saying that I am the person who generally gets uncomfortable at nail salons because I'm not a frequent visitor and usually feel overly pressured into getting certain services, paying in cash, etc. I hate feeling like not getting an "add on" to my pedicure results in crappier service. I've also had bad experiences where my cuticles have been cut from filing and have actually bled! I know my cuticles are dry, but I shouldn't be bleeding during a nail service! Lately I have settled for painting my own nails....where they usually stay chip-free for about 2 hours. Not so with Nickie! I followed her Facebook page for a while (you should do the same to check out her nail art!) before I took the plunge to make an appointment. Nickie got back to me the same day I left a message and was able to get me in during that same week! She was extremely professional and was prepared for the art I wanted to get done at my appointment. She has her own private room inside the salon. It is clean, well maintained, and stylish! She gave great tips on how to keep my nails healthy and gave explanations on what she was doing with each step which I really appreciated. I felt comfortable with her and not at all like I was forcing conversation or looked down upon. I left with the CUTEST nails, but more importantly they FELT healthy and not weighed down or sore! Her prices are slightly more than the going rate of the strip mall shops, but it is worth the extra money since she spends it on clean equipment and provides an enjoyable experience. When I first started going to her the gel polish would not stay on my nails but for a few days before it started chipping off.She told me that it stayed on for her other clients just fine. But instead of shrugging off my issue, she researched my problem and found out how to make the gel stay on and last for weeks.
