    Frozen strawberry marguerita

El Curcero is a gem. Our entire experience amazing - food, presentation, and service. We had great guacamole, fajitas, Arroz con camarón, and Chimichangas. A frozen strawberry Marguerita was a work of art. Be sure to choose their homemade Aguas rather than the bottled Mexican sodas. Our server was so friendly and helpful with translations.

So bomb, very friendly people work here and the food is fire

This place is a must go if you're into the great Mexican restaurants in the Indianapolis area the service is fantastic extremely friendly very very attentive and happy to say yes to reasonable request. The ambience is a typical great Mexican restaurant. Everything is so nice and the food is just over the top. This place is a must try!

They catered my friend's wedding. My dinner.

El Crucero catered my friend's wedding over the weekend and the tacos were amazing. I got one beef and two pastor and loved every bite. They had all of the topping and multiple sauces to add to our tacos. All of the sauces were too spicy for me but the tacos didn't need any sauce. I am excited to go to the restaurant and eat cause they are only about 5 miles from my house and I have never been there.

Don't let any thoughts about the outward appearance of the building stop you from walking inside and enjoying some of the best Mexican food you will find in the state! We walked in to a warm, friendly, clean and inviting environment and sat down to an amazing menu of truly incredible food. Literally everything we tried we loved--chorizo and pollo tacos, pollo chimichanga, and outstanding, fresh and flavorful queso and salsa! The horchata...? Made from scratch and the best we've ever tasted, as was the guacamole--made fresh and to order!! Ana, our server was kind and attentive. She gave us great recommendations and even helped us with local travel advice! The food arrived surprisingly quickly (we did eat at a somewhat slower time). I've already said it but seriously. Don't miss out on this absolutely gem!

Wonderful food and wonderful service. Very authentic and huge servings. I really loved it.

Great agua frrscas, . So many flavors to choose from: pineapple. Passion, tamarind, cucumber ,... and such nice owners! Enjoy!

Good food and average pricing. Good lunch special pricing. Would definitely return. Service was pretty fast, it I told them I was in a big hurry, so I don't know if it's like that all the time

Absolutely incredible experience here. I got 3 tacos: carne asada, birria and al pastor....delicious and seriously the best tacos I've had in a long time. The birria quesadilla also was a hit. This place is authentic and it's exactly what you want from a hole in the wall casual Mexican spot. The guac needed a little enhancement w some lime and salt but, other than that, everything was perfect. The trio of spicy sauces they offer took it home. The service was excellent too.

I went here with my friends the other day and I'm upset I had never been there sooner! This place was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the inside had the best decor. We got complimentary chips and salsa and queso as soon as we sat down. The jamaica was delicious also. Definitely recommend!

Yes! Try this place out. It looks a little rundown, and it's small but the service is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious!! There aren't many vegetarian items listed on the menu but my lunch mate asked our server for options and she offered plenty of choices to try, and he went with veggie quesadillas with rice and beans on the side. I just wanted to try a couple Birria tacos and a single pastor taco. All were very yummy! Also, I ate way too much and the taco plate pictured here was only $10!!!

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I had the southwestern salad with buffalo chicken. It had corn and tortilla strips (which I left off), black beans, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and bleu cheese dressing. It was super fresh and very flavorful. The chicken actually had a good buffalo flavor which many claim to have but don't. We also tried the Nutella crepes with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. In addition to being very large, it had a great taste and was very fresh. Another hit for sure. The avocado toast with salmon was really good. The flavors were spot on and as with the other food, very fresh and well prepared. The brisket burger patty melt was also done perfectly. The brisket patty was a perfect medium and the onions were grilled just right. We opted for mayonnaise instead of the Thousand Island dressing it comes with. The other dressing may have been good but the mayo really paired well. Finally, the club sandwich was again prepared perfectly. Fresh meat, perfectly toasted bread (some places under toast and many over toast) - it was quite tasty. We were too full for dessert, but I'll be sure to leave room when I come back next time!

**Bluebeard... wtf**…read more Bluebeard has been on my Indianapolis restaurant list since I moved here from Chicago in 2021. I've found some really great restaurants here over the years, so I was especially excited to finally make it to Bluebeard. Each year during Devour, my husband and I pick a restaurant for each other as a surprise, and this year I chose Bluebeard. We had a 6:15 reservation and arrived about 10 minutes late due to traffic. I apologized, and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. Our server took about 15 minutes to come over, and although our appetizer arrived quickly (chips&dip), our drinks took another 15 minutes. I held off on ordering our meal because I wanted to do the Devour menu with the wine pairing. The food & drinks was a mixed bag: - Beauregard cocktail: 10/10 - Chips & avocado ranch dip: 8/10 - Crudo: 9/10 - Smoked fish dip: 4/10 - Mushroom ravioli: 8/10 - Short Rib Ragu: 3/10 - Chocolate crème brûlée: 3/10 There were definitely some great dishes, but the slow service and inconsistent food were disappointing for a restaurant with this reputation. The biggest issue came toward the end of the meal. The hostess came to our table and told us we needed to hurry because she needed the table for another reservation. **We were still waiting for dessert.** I explained that the service had been very slow and that we were waiting on our desserts. Our server apologized and said the hostess likely didn't realize what had been happening and was under stress. I completely understand that Devour can bring in more traffic than usual, but that's also something a restaurant at this level needs to be prepared to handle. We shouldn't have been made to feel rushed when the delays were not on our end. I really wanted to love Bluebeard after having it on my list for five years, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. For comparison, some of my favorite Indy restaurants for both food and service are Bocca, Union 50, Matador, Rosemary & Olive, Tinker Street, Strange Bird, Delicia, and Bodhi. Maybe we caught Bluebeard on an off night, but for me, this experience fell short.
