They do indeed have a burrito section on their menu, but all of the burritos have sauce and cheese covering them, which effectively makes them enchiladas. I came for a burrito, but I left with what was essentially a plate of enchiladas. That's fine; I make do. My Burritos Michoacan were two tortillas filled with pork carnitas, and topped with green chili sauce and cheese. Rice and beans came on the side. It was tasty, but again, it was not a burrito. (Alright! I'm done belaboring this point. No burrito, no bueno. I'm sure you get it.) But, four stars because my meal came with complimentary chips and salsa, and the chips were outta sight. I liked using my chips to scoop up the rice and beans and carnitas. My meal was also big enough for two people to share. I ate my to-go meal in my car, which honestly, is the best place to eat a meal, especially a burrito-but-not-burrito meal. I bounced into Los Vaqueros soon after they opened at 11 a.m., and I was able to order my to-go food right there and then wait only about 10 minutes to receive it. There are some seats in the lobby that you can sit at while you wait. Parking can be a little iffy here. There is no designated parking lot, but there is street parking on the side of the restaurant. I wasn't able to find parking there, so I parked across the street.

The food is cooked and brought out often times on a skillet which is literally steaming as it reaches the table, which is an experience within itself that Mexican restaurants fail to reciprocate in the modern day. When you walk in, you may have some difficulty being seating as this restaurant is typically busy, and typically understaffed. The service is amazing, however. The owner and crew are all very amazing, friendly, hard workers. They converse well, they take care of each other and set up an amazing environment together. That being said, with Los Maguelles may consider hiring a few more servers for the bustling Saturday nights, you may find yourself waiting 10 minutes or longer if you don't speak up for a simple refill let alone be seated. They make it fun, with their "Burrito Tropical" earning the name "Best Burrito On The Menu" as it truly is and the staff is sure to remind you. Los Maguelles is a great experience, great eatery, and an excellent choice for lunch, but with current staffing levels I would avoid a dinner with a large group.
