Came here for breakfast in the weekend... was busy but not crowded. Plenty of parking in the ( back) lot. The lobby is clean and organized, the service is good. The food and coffee here is really some of the most tasty in the area with Copa Vida probably up there with them. I've never once been disappointed at the snacks here as they are all well made, with high quality ingredients. I will say their coffee does tend to be smaller servings than most, but that's just the coffee addict in me used to drinking venti coffees. Just updating as I gave this place one more shot. Still got a strange feeling in my chest from the dictatorship like kitchen running like they think they are Spago of Beverly Hills or Bestia. The only reason I updated my review from a 1 to a 2 is because...well nothing. You can sort of tell at this place the people not in uniform are the corporate people and they just aren't really friendly. Quite sterile if you ask me and unfriendly. Really watching their employees like a prison camp. The coffee was still gross, I had a cup of joe and an espresso, which they don't have ceramics for guests dining in, but it's nice they have ceramics for their espresso. Espresso was flat, no crema on top. Bitter and unpleasant to finish. I am also baffled by their Director of Operations trying to "woo me" with a gift card to this place so I can maybe delete my review I am guessing. One word YUMMY! Vanilla latte (hot and iced) were both SO good! We ordered the almond croissant, gruyere scone, chocolate chunk cookie and peanut butter rice Krispy cookie as well as the breakfast sandwich. The chocolate chunk cookie was the star of them all, we went back to order a second after we tried it and they had already sold out! (So bummed!) It was seriously the perfect cookie! The peanut butter one was also delicious. The almond croissant was really good but wish it would've been warmed up. The scone was ok, I wouldn't order that again. Good food and tasty drinks but it is very disappointing when I order an iced chai that cost $6 and they literally handed me a cup that was half full when I asked for light ice. FYI, there is a difference between 16oz. by volume vs. 16oz. by weight. My drink ended up by 8-10 oz! That was unacceptable. I never write reviews anymore. I don't even like yelp. But I loooove superba and I'm so glad it opened in Pasadena. The soft egg tartine is one of my very favorite things to eat in this entire city. Love the superba O cookies. The bread is wonderful. I order take out from here maybe twice a week. Coffee is great. Everything comes well packaged and tidy. Treat yourself to a tour of the small sides which are actually generously sized and cheaply priced with their quality considered. Take home a baguette or a levain. Like many other reviewers, I eagerly anticipated the opening of Superba in Pasadena for what seemed like an eternity. The week it finally opened I was so excited and really pleased with how it turned out. From the beautiful and thoughtfully designed interior to the dog friendly patio; they also have strong WiFi, good music and a friendly staff, not to mention their superb coffee and food! I have been coming regularly since they opened and continue to be pleased with the food and coffee, however, there are a couple a small issues that prevent me from fully embracing Superba as the essential neighborhood spot. First, please please please bring in real coffee mugs and water glasses. The paper cups take away from the experience and pleasure of my daily cappuccino, not to mention isn't very nice to the planet. Second, other reviewers have mentioned the steep prices which I am usually okay with but the fact that they call your name to pick up your food from the counter is not the level of service those higher prices usually buys you. It's really inconvenient when you are in the middle of a conversation and have to stop to go get your food or outside and have to guess at when it might be ready since there's no speaker to hear your name called. These are minor touches that would really make a difference, and I hope something the business will consider. read more

Cute place. Food is good as is tea and the mocktail drinks. I haven't actually had the coffee. good place for meeting or studying. Lots of little tables and a small patio if you don't like the noise inside. When it's crowded (lunchtime) everything echoes so the patio is nice if you need retreat from the noise. Easy parking behind the building. Only downfall is the staff is pretty hit and miss. They aren't rude just not particularly outstanding. read more

This place is SO convenient for a weekly coffee coffee run. Food comes out super quick and the options are just the right size for breakfast. The only thing that I think can be improved is the premade overnight oats - I absolutely love it but there isn't any way to get it without raisens! 49th parallel coffee beans are used, delicious coffee although I wish my cappuccino came out hotter..it was lightly warm. No latte art. Small parking lot available, nice spacious place with lots of natural lighting and many small tables. Avocado toast was delicious, smaller in size than other places, but they charge $6.50 for it instead of $9+ so it's reasonable. I will probably return to try other pastries in their pastry case and other toast offerings. read more
