Went back in and waited to be seated for 10 minutes. My young daughter wanted no cheese on her burger and it came with cheese. The server asked why she didn't want cheese? Then they didn't make my wife's burger. She had to ask for 15 minutes after everyone's food had already came. These last time I went there before this was January and it was amazing. I don't know if it's new staff, but the service I had for the price I paid for dinner was far below what one expect. Best burgers in town. Greek fries are very tasty also. We love the various malts also, some of the best around. The staff is always super friendly and polite. This time we tried their Polynesian chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Have yet to try anything we dont like. I always order the Montecito burger (well done... which it usually is) and regular fries, and they've always come out great. Often, though, something will be forgotten... either the lettuce or bbq sauce or water... so, it's a great place for a casual bite if you have the patience for little fumbles by the wait staff. I go once every two or three months, and it's consistently satisfying. Prices are not bad but not the cheapest (I think you pay for the quality of the food, not the service all the time). Finally gave it a try. Went to the Cotati location . Not impressed. Ordered two basic cheeseburgers cooked medium a small order of onion rings and a chocolate shake split in two cups to go. The burgers were RAW. The onion rings super greasy and smelly like cooked in old oil. The lettuce was iceberg and tasteless . The shake was good but too expensive at $5.95. I went to Superburger in downtown cotati the other day. New location is nice until I stepped inside. Left side is Takeout and the right side is Dine in. I needed to place an order to go so I walk up to the takeout register and place my order. Can I please have a Classic burger, St. Helena burger, children's bacon cheeseburger, fries, sweet potato fries, and a couple of chocolate peanut butter shakes. The kid tells me "no worries". I ask him how long and he replies 15 to 20 minutes. So I ask him to add a pint on there for the wait. I pay the kid and look over and he's making the shakes...... I think to myself it seems a bit early. Next I walk over to counter/bar area and pull up a seat next to another person who is waiting for part of her order. I sit down for the next 45 minutes sipping my pint. 30 minutes in the poor lady who was already sitting there when I pulled up received the second half of her order. Than I watched frustrated teens walk behind the counter and go right to the window start grabbing bags and look for there own order because it was taking so long. I watched two people who were dining in send back there food just to have the waitress take to the back show the cook and return the same plate. The counter/bar area was FILTHY. In 45 minutes time not one employee bothered to cleanup the last guests mess. They could have sat more people but insisted on telling them there was a wait list. The two waitresses, and two kids behind takeout walked around putting miles on there shoes but were doing nothing with there hands. THAN finally one comes to me and says what's your name again. He tells me let me check on your order, and he replies "all were waiting on is your fries". After the wait I finally received my food. He gives me my melted 45 minute old shakes and my bag to go. I get home and classic burger was a soup of SUPERSAUCE, St Helena burger had no onion ring, and the worst one is my sons bacon cheeseburger had no bacon and his burger was so dry that the sharks could use it at there next game as a hockey puck. I wont be back to Superburger and it upsets me because we used to go there regularly. There was no management there at all. It was just a group of teens walking around doing something, not sure what. Sad to see how the owners can really not care about there new investment. read more

The burgers are juicy and have a really wonderful flavor to them. The new tables and chairs are beautiful and I can tell this place really cares about its overall presentation and quality. I love that they make their own patties and have buns baked fresh by a local bakery. Best burger joint in Cotati, hands down! I'll be back over and over because it's just that good. I'm working on getting through the whole menu, but so far my favorites are the St. Helena and Bill's Pesto Mushroom Chicken (add bacon!). read more

This is what a great Burger place is all about. When they lost the Penngrove place due to someone else's fire it was a tragedy. But out of the ashes came an even nicer place. And not just saying that because it's half the distance to my house as the Penngrove one was. :-) Burgers were great at our table. When asked how you want your burger cooked I do recommend asking for a hair lighter than you normally get. Such as Med Rare to get an actual Medium. I live within walking distance of this place and was eating there every few weeks or so, but no longer. The last time I ate there they had changed the buns again, quite tough (I shouldn't have to bite and tear) sourdough buns with an odd aftertaste when tasted with the burger. So each time I have gone there lately the burgers are different. This last time the taste was so horrible I couldn't eat the burger, so I just ate some fries. As I left I noticed that there were two tables who had just left and had yet to be cleared, also with burgers that had a mere fraction consumed. The wife wasn't quite as disappointed as myself, but nearly so. The reason we had stopped going to the Penngrove superburger was the stale taste of the buns. Looks like the Cotati location has now done something very similar with their latest choice of vendor. Lastly, the phones rang nonstop without being answered. The whole time we were there. The staff even discussed what to do about the phones. You could try answering them! read more

I was super sad to hear that Hot Spot down the road had closed down and started looking online for a good hamburger place. Service was super fast and the server did an excellent job. Had to create an updated review after coming back another night hoping to receive good service and good food. We were again not greeted at all and had to flag down a employee. There were 3 tables open. One 2 top and two 4 tops. Employee sat couple ahead of us and told us we would have to wait 20 minutes. I asked why couldn't we sit at one of the open tables and was told we weren't a big enough party. I was about to leave when she decided we could sit there. Unbelievable that we would have had to wait 20 minutes while 2 open tables sat empty just because of the possibility of a group of 4 coming in. Burger was good fries were good but this establishment was swarming with flies and it's hard to enjoy your food with flies trying to land on you and your food the entire time. My wife and I enjoy Superberger and have been there before. Today we went to the Cotati location and had issues with flies. Did not have an enjoyable experience eating and at the same time trying to shoo the flies away. When we asked the wait persons...one stated they were aware of the issue and were trying to fix the problem. The other wait person said they had to leave the door open to the patio as a convenience for them when going in and out to serve people. We have been to other restaurants that had patio seating and they did not leave the door open. Please fix this issue; not an enjoyable meal having flies land on your food and drink. read more

I recently did a web search for "best hamburger" and Superburger's came up as one of the highly rated burger joints. I went to the Santa Rosa location on 4th street and, lucky me, got there just in front of the lunch crowd. The place is tiny, with some additional outside seating. I ordered the Montecito (has bacon, cheese and guacamole) which was deeeelicious. French fries were very good. Portion size was large. I'm now a big fan and will definitely go back when the urge for a big, beefy burger strikes. read more

They also had bottomless ice tea which is always a perk for us ice tea lovers. I recommend this resturant when you are craving a burger! Great burger - loved the menu. Not too complicated but enough to make a special burger if you want to stray from the basics. I ordered a classic burger and really appreciated that they offer a smaller size and also the huge chunk of lettuce they give you. So great! Relish or homemade pickles would be a great addition to their menu! They have an amazing shake menu - we sampled the blackberry and a chocolate shake. Very generous serving and delicious! We really appreciated the waitstaff. Friendly, just the right amount of casual and honest! We ordered fries for each of us. They advised that it was way too much, as an order can easily feed 2 each. So they recommended how we could get all the different fries that we wanted while trying to minimize cost/portion. It was super nice and something that you don't always find in waitstaff.
