All beers on draft are the brewery's own and they are all very good. I intended to try only the bartender's selection in a flight but soon found myself having tried all of the beers available. The bartender was excellent, very nice, knowledgeable, and engaging in conversation with everyone at the bar. She was super helpful when it came time to ordering a drink and made selections based on my preferences. No food was served at the brewery but they do have little snacks like pretzels or check mix that is offered to customers. Overall, you need to make a stop here. Everything is done right from the atmosphere to the staff and even the subtle touch of a cinnamon sugar rim on the seasonal pumpkin/fall beers. Everyone is extremely friendly and while I was there, we all engaged in great conversations. Kudos to the brewmaster and owner.

My order was dropped at a UPS facility by Vern's on 7/16. At some point in the process, UPS had a technical issue and when I received my order 5 days later the temperature inside the cooler (which I paid 11 dollars for) was 88 degrees. I immediately contacted Vern's to let them know of the issue and was told by their sales rep Alyssa that she would have to speak with someone in the shipping department to see what could be done. i waited one full business day to hear from someone, but just crickets!!! The next morning I called Vern's again and was told they would transfer me to Mike the shipping supervisor to handle my issue. Mike immediately started telling me there was nothing they could do as they have no control over UPS and that I would have to contact UPS to find out what happened and to get a refund. I calmly explained to Mike that I did not contract with UPS to deliver my order, that they did and that all I was requesting was that they make things right by re-shipping my order at no cost to me. Mike, then went on a long winded story about how the truck that delivered my 88 degree cheese did not say Vern's on it but UPS, so they would not refund my money or re-ship my order. The pomposity of this guy cannot be measured!! I asked him if in their 61 years of business had they ever had this problem before? He said "Sometimes" I then proceeded to ask him if he gave the same response that he had given me to those customers, nothing but crickets. Can you imagine the gall of this company to just give you the middle finger after paying 80 plus dollars for cheese and the best they can do is tell you its your problem now , not theirs!!! I don't know if Vern is still on God's green earth, but if he is he should be ashamed to have his name on a company that has no ethical or moral compass. If you order from Vern's, you best drive to Wisconsin to pick up your order, because all Vern's delivers to you is terrible customer service, headed up by Mike and the middle finger!

This is where I go to get my fix…read more The people who work here are very friendly; it's like going into Cheer's for me, everyone knows my name. This is the mom and pop store of the 21st century. I don't shop for much here, as I prefer buying organic. But 29 cent a pound bananas are too good to pass. The coffee (my wife likes the Colombian) and their tea selection is pretty good. What occasionally irks me is folks buying lot of stuff or mulling over what lottery tickets to buy. I'll be standing there with my paper and two dollars at the ready. And someone will have twenty items or is scratching their chin trying to figure out how they're going to gamble that day. The store can be slow to open another register. They have all kinds of hot food at the ready; but, alas, only the western omelet is okay for this old ovolacto vegetarian; and they don't make them very often. I'm not talking haute cuisine here; but I see a lot of people getting something to eat. Friendly and convenient, I'll continue to go here....every day.
