Quite possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my life. Went on Memorial Day weekend, the place was super crowded, busy, so I thought the food would be great ...boy was I wrong. The rice and beans were awful. How do you mess up the rice and beans? Maybe the main chef was out of town or something but this place was not worth it at all. I got the Superior Platter. The only thing I ate was the taco, even though the shell was stale. The rest I took three bites of my food. The chicken looked like it was straight out of a can, the fajita steak tasted like barbecue? which I was not expecting that flavor. Just a mess. The way the waiter didn't care lol just took my plate away.. didn't even offer to say, "Oh, did you not like it? Can I get you something else?" He must be used to it, I guess. Anyway, I just asked for the check and we left. Will not be back, a shame cause this place is so beautiful, but the food does not reflect that. Should have went to Pedro's :/

I stopped by here before heading back to my hometown. I sat at the bar I ordered an appetizer the CHIMICHANGA which was delicious. My entree was a bacon hamburger. It was good my food came out in a timely manner. The ambiance was real laid back.

Food was great, but the drinks were the best part about the restaurant 100% 10 stars it was amazing. 100% recommend the virgin margarita as you can see in the picture 100% did not have 10 stars.

Open parking and beautiful landscape. The restaurant is beautiful. Service was excellent. Joshua was very friendly and asked us what we liked the most. He was paying attention to his customers. Great job! The food was excellent. I do not care for Mexican food around Lafayette but this was actually worth it. The steak was tender and flavorful. I could have eaten a 2nd bowl of tortilla soup. The tamales are great. We will definitely be back.

I had the opportunity to have lunch here with my wife. The food was good. The atmosphere was great. Very nice decor and ambiance. I loved the wood floors. Service was great. Unfortunately, our experience, though good, was tarnished by the price. Our order consisted of steak fajitas, crawfish enchiladas, and queso. One diet coke and a water. Bill = $72 (tip not included). Was it good? Yes.. good for the money? No way. Why so expensive guys? I'm not asking for Pancho pricing, but goodness.

This has become a regular date night spot for us. Always great, fast service and delicious food! Love the decor and ambiance. It is more upscale mexican food so that reflects via $$$. I usually get the pulled pork carnitas on corn tortillas and my husband likes any version of their fajitas. He loves their white queso with ground meat too. So many things to try! Salsa is also really good.

What a beautiful restaurant! The decorations and ambience remind me a lot of Pappasito's in Texas with a Louisiana touch. They've, clearly, spared no expense when it comes to the construction of this tremendous building. However, I wish they would've spent more time on their food. The salsa is excellent. I really enjoyed the Superior White Cheese Queso w/Beef too. But the entrees didn't live up to our expectations. The "Grande" Chicken Quesadilla (7 pieces) was dry and under flavored. Mesquite grilled chicken isn't good in Mexican food. The chicken should be shredded and slow cooked in tomatoes, onions, and chiles. It all seems to be white meat chicken too, which just makes it dry out easier. It was not as good as most quesadillas I could get in town for less money. The beef enchilada was good. I like the freshness of the sauce that was on top. The chicken enchilada suffered from the same, strange, mesquite taste. The cheese enchilada was fine but didn't have any of the chile con carne I expected, since it comes that way if you order just the cheese enchiladas. The beans were the blandest, refried (?) beans I've ever tried. A true fail on the beans. I saw a lady next to me return her tortilla soup too. Her friend mentioned she didn't care for her steak fajitas. I didn't taste either, so I can't comment. The service was excellent, particularly, for a new restaurant. Our bartender was very nice. I am going to try Superior again for brunch. I may go from time to time because I enjoy the ambience. But I will probably stick to brunch or appetizers because the Tex Mex items just didn't do it for me.

My booth, fork & menu were dirty so it's hard to stay open minded when the small things are overlooked. The service was friendly! The beans were overcooked. Simply delicious Mexican and Honduran cuisine that gives you a good bang for your buck…read more Due to the incredible value and large portion sizes, we were delighted to try the unique Honduran flavors that La Papa Loca had to offer. We ordered the Honduran Tacos, Pollo con Tajadas, and Birria Tacos. The Honduran Tacos were super flavorful, stuffed with chicken and topped with salsa, white cream, and pickled radishes. The birria tacos were also nice and juicy and although the shells could have contained a bit more cheese, the dish was still packed with lots of shredded beef alongside the consommé. The Pollo con Tajadas dish, however, was the star of the show. This dish featured warm and crispy fried chicken topped with pickled radish, soft plantains, and three different sauces. It was unique while still being familiar, akin to ordering chicken and fries from a Southern joint. Our server was also super sweet and she gave us free queso with our chips and salsa. La Papa Loca also had a variety of different agua frescas to choose from--from the melon juice to the warm and cinnamony horchata. I wasn't too impressed with the Jamaica juice but the melon juice was phenomenal. All in all, I definitely see the value and quality in a place like this and I'll certainly be back to try the menudo and famous "La Papa Loca" dish. 7/10 stars ~
