I was pretty sure it was an issue with the motor, but I wasn't sure I could find someone who had experience fixing this type of issue on my brand of shade (Somfy). I contacted Oscar, and I immediately felt reassured that he knew what he was doing and had the right experience. He sent out a couple a great techs (Pat and Jay) that did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing the problem. They had to take the whole shade down, take out the old motors, install the new motors, reinstall the shade, and reprogram the remote. It was getting late, and I had to leave for a family dinner, but they stayed as the sun was setting to get the job done. They sent me the attached video to let me know that everything was completed successfully. WOW!!! Awesome service.

I called (txt) the company at 10:30am to inquire whether the individual was going to show up, and they mentioned that the technician would not be showing up due to car issues. I understand that issues arise, such as car issues, that might impede someone from making their appointment, but as a Company and professional they should have sent me a notification advising this. It took me reaching out to the Company to get an answer. I took time off work, to meet with this individual, hours from work and income loss that I won't get back. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional. The Company propose to re-schedule the appointment, but I declined as this would mean I would need to take more time of work, on another date, to meet for an appointment that they didn't make the first go around. My trust is broken at this point and I will pass on any future services.

In fact, they now work even better than the shades not needing repair. While having shades repaired on a mobile basis was not inexpensive, I was unable to remove the shades myself to bring them to the shop. It would have saved me the cost of a house call. Well my 95 pound German shepherd crashed through one screen once but that is not Phantom Screen's fault. So today I added 2 more. I got so tired of one traditional screen door that had to be repaired frequently which involved borrowing a truck and dropping it off several miles away. Then borrowing the truck again to pick it up. Finally I realized I had two doors that could use a Phantom Screen and Screens of Northern California was still at the same address so I sent out an e mail. And everything moved quickly. The design is different but the company's responsiveness and quality of work remains stellar. I will miss the push/pull to release the magnets of the original screen door. It is a pretty effective bad guy deterrent at the door to my garage along with another big German Shepherd sleeping at the inside enjoying the breeze! But the new doors' release is welcome at the new locations. And the installer threw in a can of silicone spray. I'd say the only drawback is the screen door seems to be a magnet for dog hair. JK. When they were trying to reschedule they then informed me my blinds were sent back to the manufacturer 4 weeks ago. What? Huh??? Now trying to get reimbursed for this order - and still no blinds!
