Our oven was giving us a code that the door was open when it wasn't. A tech came next day and was able to conclude that it was the locking mechanism that was damaged and needed to be replaced. He ordered the part for us, was honest about pricing up front. He called as soon as the part arrived and was able to work with our schedule to come back and replace it. So, I didn't actually have Supertechs out to repair my KitchenAid oven, but I'm leaving this review purely on their responsiveness, follow through, and overall giving a shit (or at least appearing to ) about someone else who needs help. I called and spoke with Joseph and expressed to him the trouble I am having with my oven. He explained to me that KitchenAid oven ate very hit and miss as far as which ones can be worked on and which ones are an utter nightmare. I found the model number and emailed it to him. He messaged me back almost immediately and informed me that I do infact have one of the older dreaded models that he doesn't service. He did, however, give the name and number of another tech who specializes in these older KitchenAid models. He also followed up with a phone call to make sure I got his text and I wasn't left hanging. Not many business these day will go the extra mile like Joseph. Our washing machine stopped working. We called Supertechs appliance out to fix our washing machine. When we called, he said he would be over at 1:00 pm, but he showed up at 12:40 pm. When he showed up, he told us what the problem was. He fixed the washing machine in about 15 minutes. So when I called and spoke with someone on the phone I told them exactly what the problem was. What they never said was to keep the fridge plugged in. I had unplugged it because of the loud noise it was making. So when the tech came to fix the problem he had to sit here longer to see what was not working. Had he said that he needed it plugged in I would have done so. Because he was here so long he charged me extra for labor. $21.00 part and $115.00 for labour because he sat here. When I called back after the repair to say that the freezer is not at a temp that freezing food, the response was that " give it some time, it will" of course it never did. Now 5 months later, my whole fridge is warming up again and I have to call someone else to come fix it. I am not supposed to be paying to get my fridge fixed every few months. They will not be getting my repeat business. read more
