I thoroughly enjoyed Supperland. Unfortunately, I was not able to dine but I was able to grab a table at Supperlands bar and grab a few cocktails and appetizers. Their cocktail list is extensive and definitely more of a specialty cocktails - although I'm SURE any of the bartenders could make any standard cocktail. I tried the I also tried the oysters which came with like a mango salsa. The salsa lacked flavor but I enjoyed the presentation and the concept. read more

Just had Supperland for the first time tonight and I'd be lying if we I said we didn't order more bread and beet butter to go... What an amazing experience! Our server, Isabel and the sommelier, Michael, made our evening memorable. We tried so many things, but the oysters with strawberry mignonette was truly inspired, and the Brie bites were like a savory baklava! The miso Mac and cheese, smashed potatoes and mushroom risotto were phenomenal. Dessert was killer; they have an in-house pastry chef who is clearly at the top of her field. Brought my friend from Montreal. She really enjoyed herself. Both of us did. Impeccable service and recommendations. Spectacular ambiance and all this before mentioning the wine and food. We shared the pork cutlet, mushroom risotto and the Brussels sprouts. Everything was very good. Not my favorite on the Brussels. (I like them more charred, crispy and sweet like at Noble Smoke. The pork was so good and the risotto was the best I ever had. My friend picked a perfectly paired wine (bc she's fancy like that and knows her stuff) -- Pinot noir from Burgandy. I'd go to Supperland anytime to enjoy the experience and highly recommend for a casual night out to impressing out of town guests or your mom and pop! read more

Go for drinks and get the biscuits w rose jam! The patio & 'speakeasy' are lovely. But stop there. I'm not sure how this restaurant is getting all the rave reviews but we went in a party of 6. Tried almost everything on the menu. After dinner we all were incredibly underwhelmed & frustrated. The food was mediocre at best & the desserts, just bad. Service was sporadic. This is easily one of the best places in Charlotte. Go early and spend some time at the bar. They have a pretty decent bourbon list. Everything form food service here is well done. We had a few appetizers and the charred wedge and french onion dip were some of the stars . The filet's were done perfectly as the NY strip. The sides are outstanding. Do not pass on the blackened onions. The brussel sprouts and the Mac and cheese were hits. The service and presentation are top notch. Parking is challenging so leave time for that. Suitable for special occasion and if your out to impress. It's a beautiful spot and vibrant atmosphere. But it is very expensive from drinks to dessert and based on my experience i don't think it was anything outstanding. It's loud -so don't expect intimate setting or ability to be able to have conversations in larger group-acoustics are loud -but again it's a huge own modern space. Food was good, varied menu, but nothing to write home about. One thing that stood out was our servers apron -it was filthy and don't think it was from that evening. This is a pet peeve when the servers don dirty aprons. Makes me wonder if that's what is represented in front of the house -what's going on in back of the house?! I think Supperland is best for appetizers, drinks in an impressive atmosphere. But I think Charlotte has better venues for outstanding food and dining experience. read more

Wanted a special, memorable dinner for my family, we had many things to celebrate and Supperland definitely was the right pick! Joshua, our server was just fantastic from beginning to end! The interior is so beautiful and we loved trying a variety of menu items! We were a party of six and everyone found items they enjoyed so that was very nice. Also want to point out everyone on the staff from the hostess at the door to the young man that kept our water glasses full, that we appreciate them as well, could not have been nicer! So I seen Supperland on instagram and I just knew I had to have a taste of their food. I got there early and there was a line at the door (fyi) if you don't have a reservation get there early and you're almost guaranteed a spot. Guess what I didn't have a reservation and I got a spot. The Ambiance is so welcoming. The service is phenomenal, everyone is so nice and cater to your needs. The food gives your taste buds a new meaning of enjoying your food. Walking up the stairs to the front door felt as if I was entering a church, which was apropos because the experience was spiritual. You know that feeling when you leave a good ole Southern, Pentecostal service on Sunday evening...full and gratified. Well, that's how I felt leaving this swank, novel eatery. Arrived at Supperland around 5:15 on a Saturday to see if we could get a table without a reservation. The wait for a table was already at 2 hours but the bar facing the kitchen was open! Be warned it's definitely hot back there due to the oven but it was worth it! So fun watching the chefs cook and see all the food being prepared. My friend and I shared several apps and sides and it was all delicious. The brie bites and mushroom risotto were definitely the standouts. Pimm's Cup cocktail was great as well. I have been to this restaurant 3'x now and I have to say it is ridiculously overpriced. They are always packed so others might not think so. I just don't see the value in what they charge. We ordered the smashed potatoes and there were maybe 4 small balls of potatoes...not that great for what they charge. The broccoli was over seared, The whole chicken felt like half a chicken. Honestly I felt underwhelmed by everything except the ambrosia which was to die for. It's a beautiful place but my hair smelled like the restaurant after we came home, lack of proper ventilation. I will say the bar service was terrible we had to wait 30 minutes fir our order to be taken, but dining was on point once we went inside for our reservation. Went last night wth my wife and kids. Outdoor Area: 9/10 Very nice outdoor seating area in a gorgeous part of Plaza Midwood. Drinks: 8/10 Really enjoyed the two cocktails I tried and would love to try the rest. See you Tomorrow was especially tasty and was made with unique ingredients. Raw Oysters: 3/10 Should be removed from the menu until they find someone who can chuck oysters without breaking half the shell into the oyster. They added strawberries to the raw oysters, not as an option, but as part of the dish. It will make sense when you taste how bland the oysters are. Very poor quality dish. Hot Onion Dip: 7/10 Good starter. Like an onion hummus with tasty chips to dip. Nothing special or memorable, would probably skip next time. Lobster for Two: 8/10 This was an interesting dish and felt somewhat out of place on the menu. They use skewers for the lobster body meat, which makes it really easy to pull the meat out. They finish the lobster by splitting in half and grilling on BBQ, resulting in an additonal smokey taste. Served classic style with drawn butter. Solid dish but for $75 I want an entree that is unforgettable. This wasn't it. Miso Mac n Cheese: 5/10 Chewy, overcooked noodles. I thought the miso would be additive but the combo of miso and the cheese used was extremely bland. After the server hyping up the mac we were extremely disappointed. There are many good mac n cheeses in CLT; this one can be skipped. Carrots: 9/10 Required some extra salt to balance all the sweetness but the salt did the trick. Very solid carrot dish that was cooked just right. Overall: 8/10 Admittedly some of this score is based on potential and great ambiance, style, and feel. The food is not ready for prime time yet. Especially at the sky high price point. The good news is they have plenty of customers and will have time to find their groove on the food. Fabulous! Went for a special occasion dinner and had the best time! The entire staff from bartenders to hostesses to our waitress were very friendly and accommodating. Recommend hitting the bar before you sit down to dinner, it's so cute and has a ton of fun cocktails. Our favorite dishes were the sausage croquettes and the Mac and Cheese, but everything we ordered was delicious. The atmosphere, service and delicious food made it worth the price, in my opinion. Took my husband here for his 40th birthday because he'd seen so many great posts on IG. We brought our teen son and had really high hopes for this place but it did not meet our expectations at all. The decor and ambiance were the best parts. Very cute but the food was hit or miss and at that price point, I don't think you should have more than one "miss" per meal. The only hits for me were the sausage and gravy croquettes, collard greens, the steak in the surf and turf special, and the desserts (peanut butter sundae and banana cream pie). The wagyu pot roast was so moist but bland, miso Mac and cheese was boring, hopping John was bland though the pork belly was perfection, the shrimp in the surf and turf was flavorful but over cooked. The other piece that bothered me was that the service was so cold and disconnected. We go out to eat all over Charlotte and I've never felt so ignored like this place. It felt like we were bothering our waiter half the time & I saw the manager making small talk with folks but he never came by even once to check in despite making eye contact like 3 different times. Very weird. Then they sent my husband these cookies to say happy birthday and they were so wack. We all disliked them. For almost $400 (including tip), they needed to be way more impressive. I might visit their speakeasy for the experience but the restaurant? Never again. We went to Good Food on Montford the next evening and their dishes blew Supperland out of the water. No competition. Even Rooster's (Southpark) is better than Supperland, they just don't get the social media attention. read more

Just wonderful. Yes, it is pricey and it is worth it. This is a very special place and we are fortunate to have it in our city. The interior is beautiful and every detail from the designs on the plates, silverware, and glasses, to the reuse of pews as seating, makes this restaurant feel special. Highlights from our visit: cocktails (especially the Spanish style G&T), oysters apps, miso Mac and cheese, prime ribeye, branzino, surf and turf, creamed collards, and the ice cream sundae dessert. The food is amazing. A friend and I came here on a random day because we had heard so many good things. We now understand!! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our waitress was so kind in helping us narrow down what we wanted from the menu and giving us great drink suggestions. Also, the inside is absolutely beautiful. My friend and I went to eat at Supperland last night. It was my second time going but it was their first. I was extremely disappointed in the food and quite embarrassed that I raved about how good it was the first time. I'm not sure if there is a different chef on Tuesday then there is on Friday but the food on Tuesday evening lacked flavor! My friend ordered the pot roast and smashed potatoes. They couldn't even finish their food it was so flavorless. I had roasted oysters, shrimp cocktail and the fish. The fish was good like I remembered, but butter for the oysters lacked that yummy ember flavoring and even the cocktail sauce for the shrimp was bland. I doubt I will go back, it only takes one time for me for the food not to be good. I hate leaving bad reviews but maybe this review will help the Tuesday night chef do better read more

Think heavy on apps and sides lighter on entrees as there is so much to try/experience....sausage and gravy croquettes are a must get-amazing, oysters (both good but cold ones are amazing), shrimp and horseradish that comes with it are so good) ...The chicken, ribeye or pot roast are what we get (don't usually like pot roast but delicious)---smashed potatoes are absolute must (sauce us out of this world). Mac and cheese, broccoli, carrots are awesome and should definitely get if you like any of them normally. Another side/Desert you should def get is ambrosia salad (so ridiculous) and sundae is really good . Big portions so share. Go hungry. And have fun.
