Delicious food, fast service, and they bring out sparklers when you order the dessert platter to elevate the ambiance.

Delicious. My favorite has always been and remains the Eggplant Nigzvit - an enticing combination of eggplant, finely ground walnuts and spices, served with a delectable mustard sauce. The Khachapuri with cheese and egg (combined tableside) is sinfully good. The only dish that disappointed was the Pork Mtsvadi - it was extremely fatty and as a result, overly greasy. But that didn't discourage us from ordering a generous hunk of honey cake to share. I should also add that their wine list is chock full of lovely and quite reasonably priced Georgian wines. Service is alright, they seemed a bit stretched. Atmosphere is quite loud. Don't plan on having any meaningful conversation, but honestly, you'll be too busy vying for the last bite of Khachapuri to care!

Visited early - 5pm - on a Saturday. Made a reservation in advance and had no issues. The outdoor patio is heated btw! The decor is gorgeous and there's plenty to choose from on the menu. We had everything from the meat platter to the dumplings to the potatoes. The dumplings were the star of the show - large enough to fit the palm of your hand. Filled with delicious meat and broth. The meat platter was disproportionately costly for the ratio of meat (limited) to potatoes and veggies. I enjoyed the wine list with the detailed overview of Georgian processes. I tried the orange wine sampler and it was a fun experience. Our server was challenging to flag down once we were ready to pay, which is always frustrating when places aren't too busy. I always tip generously regardless - but it didn't help the cost! Although, overall I found the experience to be pretty underwhelming for how expensive everything was. Perhaps it was a bad day? Would still recommend checking them out especially if you've never had Georgian cuisine!

FANTASTIC!! Everything was phenomenal! Service was friendly & attentive. The lamb chops were especially delicious and the khachapuri will satisfy any cheese lovers palate. An excellent choice for medium to large groups so you can share as much as possible! Also, I noticed the separate bar area which was spacious and tucked away from the rest of the bustling restaurant which looks like a great date spot!

The food was incredible. The khinkali dumplings were fresh and flavorful, the khachapuri was perfectly baked with rich, melted cheese, and the chicken croquettes were cooked perfectly with great texture and flavor. Even the drinks were unique (highly recommend trying the Georgian pear soda). Everything we ordered was excellent, and you can tell they take pride in both presentation and quality. This place absolutely deserves the recognition it's getting. If you're in DC and want something different from the usual restaurant options, this place is a must-try. We will definitely be back.

After so long hearing about this place, finally went here for restaurant week and no regrets!! The service was exceptional, we had a nice seat outside. Finally got to try KHACHAPURI, we had that as an appetizer and just as expected, so cheese and the egg yolk on top mmm so yummy! They have a big selection of Georgia wine which was really fun to try. They also have happy hr from 3-6 ;) Will def go back, thanks Supra!

The Georgian Khinkali dumplings here are absolutely amazing. I have had Georgian food before that was brought to Israel with Georgian jews and I sometimes make some Georgian dishes at home but this was the first time I went to a dedicated Georgian restaurant in the US. I had the vegetarian Khinkali ones with with cremini mushrooms, tarragon, dill, parsley, and white wine vinegar. These really exceeded any expectation I had (and I am known for my food optimism). First the dough was super thick and soft and oh so tasty. They were big! The filling of Khinkali dumplings has soup in it too like a soup dumpling and they were super juicy and super flavorful here. The vinegar and some spices came separately and it was really perfect. I didn't like the service when I was in but the food was absolutely delicious. I also find the owner, Jonathan, to be very kind, respectful and open to feedback. Note that they charge a 4% service fee (not a credit card fee). I would definitely be interested in going back to try more here when I am in DC and hope the service will be better and more professional next time. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

Came here with friends and it happened to be restaurant week. Our server was wonderful and very sweet and motherly. The food wasn't my favorite, but I would come back for the Georgian wine which was very unique and had a full clear taste

    LULA KABAB
    Nakia A.

Honestly this food didn't stand out. I was excited to try the Khachapuri after trying it at Compass Rose before they closed down and I wasn't a fan. The cheese was too thick where it didn't melt well and the flavor was just okay. The Lula Kabab was fine but the lamb was dense in a meatball format - just on a larger scale. The best thing was the dumplings and the peach Georgian soda we tried. Overall it's a beautiful restaurant and service was great but I just wasn't super impressed.

I almost thought they forgot about us. We ordered and chatted, when suddenly we realized we were almost done with our first bottle of wine with no food in sight. Well...you know the food is good when it finally came out and it was a full forgive and forget moment. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Do not sleep on this place. The pork belly was delicious. Our waiter was also so kind and apologetic with how long our food took - it didnt seem like a norm with them.

I really wanted to like Supra -- I've heard great things and was excited to try Georgian food in DC. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Service was okay, and the cocktail was passable but nothing memorable. The biggest letdown was the khinkali. The dough fell apart before I could even attempt the classic bite-and-slurp. The pork and beef filling was juicy, but oddly firm -- more like a meatball than the tender, delicate texture it should have had. The khachapuri didn't fare much better. While the presentation was solid, the bread tasted very American in both texture and flavor. If you're familiar with Georgian cuisine, you'll likely walk away disappointed. If you've never had it before, this is a mediocre tease of how rich and incredible Georgian food can be. It's hard to tell if the issues here stem from trouble sourcing authentic ingredients or simply a lack of familiarity and execution in the kitchen -- but either way, it misses the mark. I might return to try something else on the menu, but based on this visit, Supra felt more like a stylized interpretation than the real thing. Ambiance was nice but typical for an American restaurant, price doesn't equal quality of food and service.

    Arrt T.

Gets loud indoors, especially in the afternoons. Gotta be because of materials and how sound reflects. Makes it difficult to have a conversation and set a mood when dining. Beyond that, I enjoyed the vibe and the dining experience here. The staff seemed enthusiastic and pleasant. First time trying Georgian Food so I was impressed. Trying their lamb soup dish made me feel nostalgic even though I've never had this cuisine before. But it reminds me of similar hearty soups in my culture. Like I felt that feeling that reviewer felt in Ratatouille's climax. Recommended! I would suggest to try it in the fall and sit outside where it may be nicer and quieter.

What's the outdoor Covid19 dining situation like for winter? Heated I gather, but is it tented or not? (Hoping not, as then it just feels like 'indoor' dining with a closed tent situation which can't be good for Covid..) If tented, is it open air?

It's heated, outdoor seating. Still suggest making a reservation on exploretok.com. They have some limited indoor seating, but outdoor seating is heated and out of the patio next to the restaurant.

I want to support your business. Do you have gluten and dairy free options for someone who has allergies?

A friend with gluten sensitivity (not full-on celiac) very much enjoyed the corn fritters and the pork shoulder w/potato entree along with a tasty glass of wine. He was a bit jealous of the looks of our tasty breads though.

I chose Ambar for my group, and I'm very pleased with our selection. Food Most of our group had dietary restrictions. Several of us were gluten free, and one person was both nut and seafood free. Ambar did an excellent job curating a menu that worked for everyone without making anyone feel like an afterthought. We opted for the Chef's Table experience, which included a spread tasting with veggie sticks and a variety of dishes that were clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared: * Bean hummus - GF / DF / NF * Ajvar - GF / DF / NF * Balkan salad - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without feta cheese) * Baby carrots - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without tofu sauce) * Roasted peppers - GF / DF / NF * Cauliflower - GF / DF / NF * Baked beans - GF / DF / NF * Roasted lamb - GF / DF / NF * Stuffed pork belly "Sarma" - GF / DF / NF * Brussels sprouts - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without yogurt and bacon) * Seafood platter Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The meal was so delicious that I didn't even manage to get photos of everything, which rarely happens for me. Just know we dined very well and left completely satisfied. Service The staff was wonderful from start to finish. From the event team member who served as our account manager, to the chef, to the servers and wait staff, everyone was attentive and accommodating. They handled our dietary needs with care and professionalism and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the evening. Pricing We paid a set fee that we were able to negotiate, and the final rate wasn't too bad for a group experience like this. Just keep in mind that there is an admin fee, a 20% gratuity, and taxes added on top, so be sure to factor that into your planning if you're booking a group event. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Ambar for group dining, especially if you have guests with dietary restrictions. I've been seeing some Eastern European mukbangs on Instagram and thought the food looked good. I'm all for new cultural experiences. So I found this place on Yelp and thought I'd give Russian food another try. I knew Russian food is simple and clean, and I knew the backstory to the Borsch dish. That's all I really knew lol... when I tell you the flavors shocked me! It was so delicious and flavorful. And yes, the meat tasted high quality and clean as expected. I ordered to-go (Manti and Borsch), and my food was smelling so good in the car. I was nervous about the Borsch. I like beets but not that much. So when I took a sip of the soup, it was tangy and very delicious. I'm so glad I got it and didn't chicken out. It tasted like a good beef soup with a slight beet and tangy taste. Perfect and filling! I will definitely be getting it again. The Manti was also very delicious. At first it didn't seem like a lot, but it's packed with meat. I was stuffed for 4 hours straight. I believe it had parsley, dill, onion, and fennel, but I am unsure of what herbs are native in Eastern Europe and Russia. They also have a mini market full of Russian foods and snacks. I think I saw pickled herring in the fridge which I will go back to buy. I see people eating it online and I want to try it myself. I will definitely be coming back here and may bring my friends. The prices are high, but the meat quality and taste are worth it for me. I may go again tomorrow lol. The space also looked very nice and was clean. Give this place a try! You won't regret it! Even if you've never eaten Russian/Uzbek food, I highly recommend you try it out. Their portion sizes are great as well. And they have so many choices. You can even tell that all is made fresh. We ordered plov, manti, tashkent salad, kompot, kebobs and their potato salad (i forget the name of this dish) and their bread. It was all wonderful. Definitely worth the drive.

To my luck, we had great Uzbek food less than 15 mins away! It was a while ago but we ordered the samsa, manti, kutabi, plov, and chohohbli, and I can't recall what else but we loved it! Last night my husband and I decided to dine in. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with cultural artifacts and art. This may just be a me thing but the serveware was envy worthy. It was gorgeous. I'm obsessed with beautiful dishware. There were only two people taking orders and serving food for an almost full dining room so we were understanding of a bit of a wait time. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us when they could. We ordered the khachipuri, samsa, oxtail, chohobli, steamed rice, pilmeni, and hot tea. Both the khachipuri and samsa were flaky pastries: khachapuri filled with a salty stretchy cheese with a cheese pull that tasted better than it was Instagram-able and samsa filled with a savory meat/onion mixture served with a tomato based sauce. Get one per person because you will not want to share. We ordered fried mini dumplings which are filled with meat and also served with same tomato based sauce that came with the samsa. They were delicious but afterwards I saw that you can get them steamed in a broth, I told myself I have to get that next time. The slow-cooked, tender oxtail was served over the best crispy, fat-fried potatoes I've ever had. The chohobli (chicken stew) was fall off the bone into a delicious tomato-based stew. We ordered the rice to sop up the delicious stew. The tea really helped to cut the richness of all the delicious food. I have not shut up about this place since we had this meal. I will rave about it to just about anyone that will listen in hopes that they will come with me next time so we can order more dishes to share.
