Gave this a 2 star because the first employee was very nice and the second was not. first guy I talked to walking in (guy with the long hair - skinny) very nice answered my questions about the brand - he advised me to go to the back and check out the non apparel based merch. I walked back to the counter and saw a key chain multi tool pocket knife. I wanted to hold it up to my keychain to see if it would match my keys and also see all the tools and when I asked to hold both keychains to compare colors the guy looked up from scrolling through his phone paused for a bit deciding how he was going to answer - and then said "if you absolutely have to to make a decision to buy it" in a very passive aggressive tone. he did let me hold it but I almost did not buy because of this comment. I almost find this type of passive aggressiveness worse then someone being outwardly rude. He did not cite his hesitancy being related to limited customer contact because of covid he just overall seemed very uninterested and unenthused to talk to me. Unfortunately this is not a great location to put a high end streetwear store like Supreme (market and 6th... one of the not nice parts of SF). At least the extreme security protocols also make it a safe shopping experience. You have to check in and fill out a form on an iPad even when there's no line, and they only allow very few people in the store at once. The selection is much more limited than what is on the website and they don't have women friendly sizes. Love the brand and visit the store every time I'm in San Francisco. Joe and the rest of the team are extremely helpful. The store is clean and well organized with all of the items clearly labeled and marked. Once you've browsed around and made your selections the staff is available to help with sizing or any other questions you may have. Their system is a bit different from most stores in the sense that you can't just take items off of the shelf and up to the register. Once you let the staff know which items you want, they'll place your order and send them to the checkout desk. Hop in the payment line and give the cashier your name to get your items and some complimentary stickers. Great store, great layout, great employees, just a great experience all around. read more

Having been to Supreme in New York, Tokyo and LA, I'd say SF for now definitely has the nicest staff. Some good tips for visiting the store and generally applies to most stores: - Drops happen on Thursday and if there is anything hyped dropping, then you need to register on Tuesday at 8 am for the drop. You are not guaranteed to get accepted for the drop. - If you don't have a time slot for a hyped drop, don't bother showing up expecting to be able to wait in line. - If you do get accepted on a hyped drop and your number is past 300s (maybe sometimes 400s), don't expect to get anything. - If you get lucky and have a number in the 100s or lower, you probably be in and out of the store in an hour. I see lots of people who don't understand the process and get frustrated with the employees or on Yelp, but this is just simply how it goes. Remember there are like 10k people who register for a hyped drop and really only enough stock for 300 people. Lots of people will get left out, even if they do understand the process! read more

I was pretty stoked about getting a time slot for box logo tee. Not only it's my first time going to a in store reservation, it was my first time winning a spot all season. My number was mid 400 and had to arrive at 2:45. I showed up at 2:30 In case of traffic and what not. Around 3:30, I was told the bogo tees were out of stock! I pulled some strings to get this day off and ended up being an all day event. There were still about 100 people in front of me in line at 3:30 so I left. I walked towards the front and they were still serving numbers at around 240. Like really? Oos on the most wanted item and didn't even have 250 pieces. Bet you they were backdoored. For New Years week, my family and I were visiting from Chicago. We heard that Tenderloin is a "rough" area, but it didn't really phase us since my 15 year old brother was especially excited to pay a visit to Supreme. Around 12:30, there was already a line, maybe about 30 people ahead of us. We waited about 45 minutes before we were able to get in. I was spending the day in SF with my girlfriend and we went shopping in union sq. After leaving Bottega Veneta and Tiffany & Co where we received amazing service, we stopped by Supreme. There was no queue to wait but the security guards made me stand outside on the sidewalk by a stanchion. The security was extremely rude and even had the audacity to tell me don't move from behind that stanchion. This is a sidewalk on market street with no clients and your TELLING ME NOT TO MOVE? he then tells me watch out and do not step on the base of the Stanchion. I laugh and tell my girlfriend he's taking his job way to serious. He becomes enraged and aggressively questioning me, "what the fuck did you say?" I repeated it back to him and he stormed inside to retrieve a manager or supervisor. That person trots outside and immediately confronts me face to face and tried to get too close and intimidate me. He said, "Do we have a problem" in a very disrespectful and in a manner which would escalate the situation. I explained what happened and he said I was being problematic. That's laughable. The conduct from these 2 people associated with Supreme SF was horrible and they treated me with no dignity. There was no courtesy. Such a terrible experience after having to stand on Market street IN SF with my Tiffany blue bag and green bottega bags. Totally not safe. I spent $30k that day in SF and $0 went to supreme. Covid Protocol: They require you to shop in a counter clockwise circle around the store so that you minimize encounters with others. They still force all patrons to wear their mask in the store even though covid is basically over. Prior to entering the store a large group of 5 men were shopping maskless and delaying the incoming line at the door while they continued BSing with 2 of the staff members. During my experience inside the store they were nitpicking me to ensure my whole face was covered. I guess it's who you know on how stringent they will enforce ? .. ..Ridiculous This staff at this location are a joke. We have shopped at their stores in both NY and LA and never had such a poor experience. We were followed closely around by a man with a tablet to ensure we were not shoplifting. We made several orders through him and he promised our sizes were in stock for each piece we selected. By the time we checked out the person at the checkout stand pulled out several items of the same pieces we ordered but in different colors and different sizes. I advised him this was upsetting that the computer boy could not actually tell us what they had in inventory (even after he promised us they had our sizes) and the cashier aggressively defended him by saying his only job is to input data and it would be impossible for them to actually check inventory because they have so much. His tone was very belittling and he suggested we should have known this but my concern is why he he even promise us that our sizes were available !? I would have considered spending a lot more money here if the computer boy was not so lazy and was actually willing to check inventory. I had several pieces I wanted to buy as a backup plan if they did not have my size but it seems they are more focused on rushing people out the door, assuming everyone is a shoplifter and enforcing covid restrictions randomly on customers !?! Many items are collaborations with major brands. Scarcity and originality of designs are two of this brands strong points. There's always long lines outside of this store because they limit a small number of people in store with 2-3 securities guarding by the door. One rep told me to wait in line to check out and after its my turn, the guy told me to go back to the beginning of the line and wait again.. Really? I've already waited 30 min+ to get in... Comparing my experiences from their home store in New York and other stores in Los Angeles and in London, i would say this one could be better. I was excited to have one located here in my home in the Bay Area but unfortunately when I arrived I was met with condescending attitudes and an unpleasant experience. Upon arriving to the location, we were the only people in line so we asked the staff member at the door to sign us in. Another staff member came out and told us that he got called over because we had an "attitude". He then said "you could've said hi first or asked us how our days are going" which confused us because we had simply asked to be signed in. The whole conversation was weird to say the least. Entering the store, you get the feeling that you're annoying some staff workers when you ask them to check for sizes almost like they think you're not going to buy anything (we spent $2,000). There were however, only about two staff members that did seem to care so shout out to them they were cool. That short white guy with long blonde hair in a pony tail though, he sighed every time we asked him to grab something for us. Overall my experience could've been better but we did cop some good pieces. We went on a Sunday and we still found the last pair of items in our sizes but I recommend going in on a Friday or Saturday if your not into the foot traffic for Thursday drops. I just wanna add that the security guards get mad if you're not kissing their a*s. Its literally just a store and you're an employee so act like it or a get a new job. I was able to go in last week after getting an appointment. Updated protocols require you to wear a mask of course. Helpful and nice security guards were out front. Nice worker was checking people in on an iPad for your appointment time. Upon entering they ask you sanitize your hands since people are touching display pieces while shopping.
