Finally, I found a really good seafood restaurant around here. Been many years since we had anything decent around. Kenny was our waiter and the service was second to none. Got the hot and spicy martini ( really flavorful) served with olive juice and blue cheese olives. For an appetizer I got the seafood salad. Little small for eight dollars but very tasty. However if the made it a little bigger and added some spicy crabmeat, THAT would be super! Then, we ordered the seafood platter thinking it would be enough for two and it just was. Finally topped it off with the blueberry crumble for dessert and that ended the evening with a round of silent applause. Definite recommend! I'll be back soon. read more

We have been going to the Portsmouth one whenever we can for years so we are so excited to have surf closer to home! Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had a crispy caesar salad and added miso roasted salmon. It was delicious and very fresh with a nice sized piece of salmon. My husband had lobster, corn chowder and a trio of seafood combo with broccoli and mashed potato. He loved both. We will definitely be back. Great service all the way around. read more

This was my second visit and I'll explain what prompted my review. I walked in about 1:30 and it wasn't too busy, got sat and waited about 20 minutes, no server... I thought man am I invisible lol. Then Benjamin came over and asked if I was helped yet and I said no, he apologized profusely and explain there was a communication problem with the person being on break and such, cool. The general manager stopped by to check on me as well, she was very kind and apologetic. They waived my glass of wine of my bill and said this shouldn't happen because they have high standards for customer attentiveness and I believe it to be true. I ordered the beet & Avo poke and that was refreshing and delicious. I also had to sate my craving for lobster so I got the lobster sushi rolls. It's a shame it's only 6 pcs because I had trouble waiting before I took the next bite. The flavor profile was immaculate! Between the buttery hearty lobster and yuzu tobiko. Benjamin was a great and attentive server! You can tell he has a natural passion for providing a great service so that speaks to the quality of Woburn's Surf location. We decided to try this place after searching for someplace different and reading the comments. We are so glad we did the food was great the service was on point even though it was busy, and everything we tried was fresh and amazing like Bao Buns, Seafood Trio Shrimp Tempura Roll, we were to full for dessert (next time) it's great for a night out with its large open concept bar that nearly wraps around the entire place beautiful set up . Food is great but service and management is awful! I had a young lady server be completely rude after us asking for wasabi multiple times for wasabi. Eye rolling and slamming the plates when they arrived. I went to tell the manager that night and he said he would make it right. He went back and told that server we complained about her and had her come talk to us. When asked what was wrong we explained that giving attitude and slamming our food was not only unnecessary but really rude. We were met with a "I'm sorry you felt that way" I was speechless. The manager just had the server come and gaslight us after I brought an issue to his attention. Once again, food was great but the service made this dinner extremely upsetting for us. read more

We go often and enjoy the food. The only frustration is the parking as the restaurants in the complex are close, resulting in cars circling. The parking lot is large so you have options if you are okay walking a couple minutes. read more

Tried Surf for the first time and it immediately landed on our favorite restaurants list! The sushi was really amazing- fresh and with flavor combinations that I haven't had before. There were so many small plates to pick from, we ended up just doing a bunch of those and various sushi roles. The ambiance is nice too, the space is nice and we'll designed. I wish I had remembered to take photos.... After seeing the restaurant, and then reading reviews, a friend and I decided to try it for lunch. Neither of us are really sushi eaters, so I ordered the haddock tacos and she ordered the salmon burger. The tacos were a little light on the haddock which I opted for fried, but the flavor was terrific. The guac in the tacos was delicious. My friend liked the salmon burger, but said it was a bit on the salty side. I opted for the regular fries which were stellar, and she had the potato fries which looked fantastic. Both servings of fries were plentiful. In fact, I took home one taco and some fries. The food overall was very good. I am looking forward to a return visit to try other choices. There is something on the menu for everyone, no matter preferences. The setting is well furnished, contemporary - tho I imagine if its a busy time, it could be loud. Our server was also excellent. The apps and beverages were good. The entrees were not, we got the haddock and filet, they were so extremely salty, it was barely edible. It tasted like a bottled was dumped in both of them. Would i give them another chance yes, but is was a little disappointing considering the filet was 42 and you couldn't even taste steak. read more

Big loud attractive main room. We were seated in an adjacent much more plain room with large windows which I guess they consider partly outside seating although you are completely inside. (?) Overhead heat lamps giving uncomfortable dry heat. Good cocktails. Their dirty martini is a step above with a little added Chile infused heat. Scallop and jalapenos wrapped in bacon appetizer was delicious with a thick soy sauce glaze. A rookie mistake was evident in the Portuguese fisherman's stew. Not sure why people don't know you can't cook big clams like cherrystones or quahogs. They turn to rubber hockey pucks. Should only use littlenecks. There were two large clams on top of the dish that looked nice, but could not chew through them. Also, the broth itself did not have a Seafood stock flavor and unfortunately tasted more like tomato soup. A little saffron would have been nice. The blackened halibut tacos were delicious but we're served cold. Did not get dessert. Definitely a lot more things I would like to try on the menu. I know it's early days. I guess the reason they don't take reservations is because they have a lot of seating, but I find that aggravating and a lack of trust in their patrons not to screw them over. read more

Enjoyed recent visit to Woburn restaurant, food was solid and the atmosphere was pleasant but was too pricey for what you're getting. Food was not worth what's being charged and for such a casual place much too expensive. Looking at menu online and prices I dressed too formally thinking with these prices must be nicer than it actually is. Can't imagine Surf is going to be able to thrive with these prices, solid casual restaurant yes but much too expensive for what it is read more
