But on the happy side of things, right when I walked in, they were putting out some brown butter donuts, fresh out of the fryer. I immediately pointed and asked for one of those. I also chose a maple raised and a maple bacon. The woman helping me was quite perky with a great smile. I'm certain the thought of why this guy was buying three huge donuts to eat all by himself never crossed her mind. I ate them throughout the afternoon...the warm brown butter one as soon as I got into the car. The cake of the donut was so soft and warm. If it were larger, I would have cuddled up next to it and taken a nap. The brown butter glaze was topped with a Maldon sea salt brittle. Sweet and salty. This was my favorite, probably because it was so darn fresh. The other two donuts had thick, soft cakes but not as soft as the fresh one. The maple donut was great. You could really tell they use quality maple syrup in the glaze. The maple bacon was similar with the addition of bacon on top. It was messy as some of the crumbled bacon fell off with each bite. They provide individual boxes for each donut so keep it under your chin to catch the crumbles! The bacon is seasoned with black pepper and cayenne. These are high-quality, delicious donuts. I think they're some of the best out there.

Ewwww I got a ham egg and cheese croissant, they pack It with gross ham, only put 1 super thin layer of egg that had black kernels of char in it so freaking gross biting into to those. 2 bites I took and threw it out and had to swish my mouth with Starbucks coffee to get that char taste to go away. $7 wasted. I would have paid $20 to not have that experience. Made me almost throw up read more

The sprinkle donuts are the best I've ever had. Me and my kids come down here weekly for a beach day, and I have never had such a good sprinkle donut! Although there are too many sprinkles in my opinion, but the donut is amazing. The bottom is kind of crunchy, perfect texture. Never had better. Since she is deaf, she was trying to communicate with the male employee by texting on her phone. Instead of being patient and understanding, he gave her an attitude and seemed upset with her. At one point, he yelled, "Just one paper plate!" We were very disappointed by the way she was treated, especially when she was simply trying to communicate. We hope the café can do better when it comes to treating all customers with kindness, patience, and respect. Because of this experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back.
