We are staying across the street from this restaurant for a week and are absolutely exhausted from a long day so we decided to order carry out. The menu is big and sounds amazing. We ordered French onion soup, pretzel sticks, fried pickles, a fruit cup and the blackened chicken pasta. Order was placed and was ready to pickup pretty quickly (about 20 minutes) The French onion soup was not that great. It wasn't super flavorful, the croutons were already added to the soup so they were soggy and gross by the time I got it and they literally threw a round piece of deli cheese on the top of it. The container of soup also didn't have a lid on it, but some Saran Wrap. The pretzel sticks with beer cheese were actually really good, and the cheese was amazing. It was the perfect combo of beer to cheese ratio. I was quite impressed. Fried pickles were ok. My kids who love pickles, and fried pickles wouldn't touch them because they looked like fried boogers. Can't say they were wrong. Husband got the blackened chicken pasta. He said the flavor was ok but he was pissed that we payed $20 for a small serving of spicy Ragu Flavored Alfredo sauce. It came with a side of toast and it seriously looked like they only gave him half a portion. His pasta did come with a side salad. Fruit cup looks good, and we will try it in the morning. All in all, I'd probably go there for drinks and not eat. This place is obviously overpriced for the drunk out of town people who don't know better about the food. We finally ordered calamari and waited another 20 minutes to order our entrees. I'm a very picky eater and I loved it here. The pretzel stix were amazing--everyone in my family loved them. The chicken fingers were really good and the fries were crispy and delicious. Out of my whole week in Clearwater, this was one of the only places I actually liked the chicken fingers. My mom got the hang 10 chicken sandwich and said it was really good, and that it was definitely real chicken. My boyfriend got the bbq chicken flat bread and ate it all and loved it. My mom dad and boyfriend shared the mozzarella sticks, and they were huge and delicious. Our waiter was also very attentive, super funny and nice. You could tell he loved his job which was something a lot of workers (not just waiters) lack nowadays!! They have a huge menu and something for everyone. Went here last night with my girlfriend. We are locals to Clearwater beach and have slowly seen this place start to decline in service/food. For 1, they are selling regular drums/flat wings as Jumbo wings. 18 dollars for 10 wings I could get anywhere else for a fraction of the cost (they were not good at all either) The mild buffalo sauce taste like 90% butter also.. quality of the wings seemed frozen. Majority of the menu overpriced and not worth it compared to many other places on the beach. If you are going to charge that much for your food, it needs to be better then low tier bar food. We have a family so we always see this place but have never gone in. Here for my bday sans kids so I said let's hit Surfside for happy hour and then we will go somewhere to eat. Well bartender Jessica greeted us so happy and pleasant. Asked us our drink order then said here's food menus if you want anything. Well we order some apps just for hell of it. Wow food is excellent better or as good as any restaurant in the area. We had wings Ahi tuna appetizer and spilt the ribs. They were all amazing and so is the staff and atmosphere. In addition this is the place to watch any game especially football. This place is awesome and everything is done right. My wife even had a strawberry mojito that was done right all fresh ingredients and no sour mix (which is the correct way to do it) Highly recommend this place. I ordered the Santorini salad with blackened chicken. The chicken was really good--it came on a skewer. I wish the salad came with two skewers instead of one because the salad was so huge. It was delicious--loved the sun-dried tomatoes, the roasted red peppers and the pickles. Super good. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. What more can you ask for? We also ended up being there during live music in the bar. The musician was good--he would have been great if he had not skewered Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" song. After coming here with my wife Saturday night, to see Michael Layne, i was not too impressed with the service. The food took a very long time to prepare and the drinks where pricey and watered down. Not only that, but it was very discouraging to see the staff act so rude towards other customers. My wife and i almost called the police after we witnessed a staff member shove a group of young women in order to attack a young boy with his back turned on his way out. Not really impressed with this establishment. My friend and I were in Orlando on vacation and decided to stop in Clearwater to get that beach feel. Well we picked a bad day if we wanted food. There was a gas leak all the way down the strip. Most of the restaurants were only serving chips and select sandwiches. While I understand this was not their fault, I feel like things could have been handled differently. When we came Surfside Bar was one of the only restaurants serving food beside salad and nachos. I'm not sure how I feel about this because that either means they got a charcoal grill for the chicken and burgers () or microwaved it (). Based on the lack of charcoal flavor I would say microwave. I got the surfin chicken sandwich which Is basically a grilled pineapple on top of a piece of chicken on a bun (12). Honestly it didn't taste terrible, but I was expecting a bit more. The bartender was very unaware of what they could and couldn't serve. She kept having to go back and forth between the back to ask questions which was 10 mins extra each time. The part that really annoyed me though was the face their two side options were cole slaw and salad because the fryer was out, yet they still insisted on the upcharge ( 1.99) for the salad. That's crazy! If your only side option is cole slaw you need to make an exception for a day. Then riiight after we were told there were no chips we saw chips going by on other patrons plates. The bartender did not tell us they were back in stock and instead we had to ask. Not impressed with the service at all. The margaritas were really good though and we liked the live music. We decided on Surfside after spending the afternoon at Clearwater beach. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and the waitress came and took our drink orders and recommended the buffalo chicken dip. Honestly, this was probably the best part of the meal. The bowl of dip was huge, seriously like twice the amount you get at a normal restaurant.. so much that we had to ask for another round of chips. It also had a nice kick to it too, which is always the goal when eating buffalo dip. As for entrees, I got the Hang "10" Chicken, which is a grilled chicken sandwich with their "hawaisian pineapple marinade" (let's be honest... plain old teriyaki), provolone and a grilled pineapple. There wasn't anything special about this sandwich, and especially for $12 it could've been WAY better. Kelsay got the "Stay Classy" Ron Burgundy Burger. This burger had plenty on it... goat cheese, prosciutto, arugula, roma tomatoes, pickles and red onion marmalade. You'd think this would be a flavor explosion, but sadly it wasn't. The burger was terribly overdone and dry and really the only thing she could taste was the goat cheese overpowering everything. Very unfortunate, because for $14 bucks she expected much more.
