    SO-CAL CHICKEN WRAP

Cute bar right across the street from the beach! I stopped for a quick lunch where I got a mimosa ($9) that was super small and I tried the so cal wrap which was full of flavor and super good. The service was quick and our server was amazing. I would stop here again when in Clearwater and looking for a quick meal.

Bar and kitchen open till 2am! That is a plus, decently priced food, clean place, staff was nice. No one seated us we found a table and sat lol they had live music playing which was cool. Had a group of 8 and they served us pretty quick. I ordered the pretzel and mozzarella sticks. No complaints drinks are made super strong also.

Came here for one drink as it was super hot outside and I enjoy the drink just didn't expect to pay so much for it

I ordered from uber eats. The portions are massive!! Seafood perfectly cooked. Even better the next day. Worth the extra monies for uber

Went to Surfside this week and ordered one of their $7 specials (picture attached). When I got the bill it was actually $15. The waitress said, "You got the bigger drink version. I can see how that would be deceiving, but that is how the bartender markets it." Take a look at the picture and let me know how you would ever come to the conclusion that this is a $15 item! A very deceptive way to do business.

Arrived here with a group of friends about 8 PM, we were fortunate to get the high top to the right of the entrance which is absolutely the prime spot, the open air setting came with a nice breeze, a great view of the street and an elevated view of the interior of the bar and right next to the small stage. Our primary server was Kelce who was amazing all night but really the entire staff here went above and beyond. We ordered a few buckets of beers, I think everyone enjoyed a few crafted cocktails and we also partook in a number of shots before ordering several appetizers and a few orders of their delicious wings. This was our last outing together after a week of conference meetings so everyone was excited to wrap up the week and head home, but not before having a night out on the town. Everyone loved the food and thought the service was outstanding so we settled in for some great conversation and toasted to a great week just as the entertainment started and let me tell you this guy rocked it with selections across all genres - this place on this night was awesome...

Our crew posted up here to watch the Steelers v Ravens game on Christmas Day (they are supposedly a Steelers bar) and everybody was happy we did. Aside from the Netflix buffering issues and the Steelers' pitiful performance, the place is a great spot to view sports, with several rows of screens arranged at various levels in different parts of the bar, a well-oiled service setup and above-average food options. Tap list is kinda skimpy for a so-called 'taphouse' but there's a full bar and wine here too, so no one will leave thirsty. There's outdoor seating toward the front, and the bar is narrow, but deep, so it's darker in back where there are no windows. A mix of tables and bench seating makes for a cozy vibe. My San Diego fish tacos (mahi mahi) were perfectly prepared and came in a pretty big portion size, so no complaints here and our server brought a perfect balance of concern and action - and she was pretty busy, but never flustered. Prices are reasonable too, considering this is a super touristy part of Clearwater Beach (parking can be tricky). That said, bear in mind that this is practically at the heart of the tourist district, with hotels and resorts right across the street, and beach access just a block further, so it's nice that they take reservations. A better than average sports bar, and not divey to boot.

    MOUNTAIN OF NACHOS
    Brandon S.

The Surfside Taphouse could best be described as a typical beachside restaurant geared towards its generally touristy clientele. The dining area is essentially a large open bar area with high top tables. There are plenty of TVs, and it seems like the perfect spot to watch sports. I got the Mountain of Nachos as an appetizer with plans to order an entree later. When they brought out the nachos, it was apparent why it was called a Mountain. The nachos were piled high with queso, jalapeños, tomatoes, grilled chicken, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. The veggies were fresh, the queso creamy and hot, and chicken had been grilled to order. It should also be noted that unlike most "loaded nacho" dishes which just add the topping to the top layer of the nachos, Surfside layered the toppings throughout. Seriously good nachos.... and so big that I couldn't finish them, and was stuffed. I visited during the 2024 Men's NCAA Basketball Championship game so they were relatively busy. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a few drinks which were refilled quickly by the bartender. The Nachos came out within 10 minutes of me ordering them. The only negative of the experience had nothing to do with the establishment or staff, but an incredibly drunk patron that was harassing myself and others. The staff did the right thing by cutting her off, making sure with me that she wasn't bothering me, and eventually took action to remove her from the bar when it became too much. They did an excellent job handling the situation. I'd definitely come back for a drink or the mozzarella sticks... they looked pretty darn good too.

While at the beach we started to get hungry so me and my princess decided to grab an early dinner after a day of long travel and the hotel receptionist said " go eat outside at the sandbar!" Brianna was our server and was amazing ! She made my little one a Shirley temple which she loved and kept the cold beers coming for me . We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizers and wings then I decided on the grouper sandwich with a side salad and fries and mini cheeseburger sliders and fries for my little one. We enjoyed our view of the ocean and stayed after we ate and got to see dolphins swimming near by. We will definitely be having lunch here a few more times before we leave. We had drinks to start; my 20 year old and 16 year old had soda. Wife had a Coroner and I have the spicy jalepeno margarita. All was great! We did not get apps, but there are lots of choices. For mains I had the Birria tacos with onion rings. One daughter had the same. Great taste, but if I had to do it over I would get a side of salad or coleslaw as it was a lot of fried on my plate. That said, finished it all! My other daughter had the chicken Cesar salad and loved it. Chicken was very tasty. My wife had the grouper basket. She thought it was tasty and hit the spot. Service was not bad but not great. Just not friendly. Overall a great stop. Be prepared you are outside and if the weather turns you are on the hook. Also, no reservations so first come first serve! Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Definitely ask for some extra lemon caper butter because you are going to want it. I had the PEPPER CRUSTED HANGER STEAk, TRUFFLED FRIES, BABY SPInach and a mustard SAUCE. The cook on the steak was medium rare and they nailed it. Great flavor even without the sauce. The truffle fries were about perfect -- crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Deb had the CHICKEN ROULADE with WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO, HARICOT VERTS, MUSTARD JUS. It had lots of good flavors, especially with the mushroom risotto, but the chicken itself was a little dry. I had the Decoy Red Blend and really liked it. My first glass wasn't right, but our server immediately took care of it and they opened a new bottle. That's good service. We somehow found room for both the tiramisu and key lime cheesecake. Both were delicious, although the almost-empty cheesecake plate probably tells you which one we liked best. Really good food, excellent service and a much better dinner than we expected from a resort restaurant. We'd definitely eat here again. Flip Flop Rating: 4.5/5 but Yelp doesn't allow .5 so will go 4 but it is really close.
