This place is a simple, no frills, hole in the wall joint with some great gyros! There's about 4 tables to sit down at and only a few items on the menu, but that's really all you need. The gyro sandwiches came with a small side salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a balsamic dressing. The gyro itself had a lot of meat and delicious tzatziki!

Having frequented Nick's for many years I took a friend here because it is locally owned and there are several Greek restaurants in our area that are owned by chains and I'm all for patronizing locals. Granted, there's nothing fancy about Nick's which comes to be expected. Nick's can be hit and miss as far as service, but this visit that wasn't the problem. My friend and I both ordered the " Royal Plate " it consists of sliced Gyro meat, Greek salad, Spanakopita and Tzatziki sauce along with inconsistent slices of pita bread. The presentation was horrible, instead of the food arranged on a single plate, the incomplete salad and Tzatziki sauce was alone a large plate and the meat , Spanakopita and pita was on a separate small plate. The meat weren't nice long slices, they were chunks that were dry and salty. The Spanakopita was a Soggy mess, the Phyllo dough was unpronounced and the Spinach flavorless. The salad lacked red onion, tomato, olives ,pepperncini and it wasn't dressed with any flavor of herbs or vinegar and olive oil. There was nothing " Royal " about this plate.. It all tasted like a plate of overnight leftovers. Very sad and disappointing... Maybe the chains have something that Nick's doesn't have anymore... which is quality and consistency. The pictures below show the way the Gyro meat for the " Royal Plate " is sliced and served. And the photo of the Greek salad was the way the salad used to look but not the way it is served today.

First time ordering and used Uber Eats. I was blown away with how exceptional the food was. I ordered a bowl with the chicken, a steak kabob, and the chocolate filled donuts (OMG!) For starters, the to-go order was packed with care, and my donuts were still warm okay? :) The bowl was packed with flavor (that yogurt sauce was to die for) I'm telling you that the rice, the chicken, the veggies, all of it made for this wonderful tastegasm in my mouth

This place food is really delisous. We came here for lunch. It's tiny inside but if you have a group of like five or less you should be good. The waiter was really nice. There food was very good and you get a great about for the cost. So glad I found this hidden gem. There is only steet parking availble. The midtown struggle for parking. We parked a block down and walked the rest of the way. Not bad at all. I had a gyro wrap and vegetable soup. Super helpful with answering questions about their menu. Really friendly to use while we were there. I delfinately reccomend grabbing lunch from here. It was a meal to remember.

The food here has bin the same for years! Amazing!! Nick's Greek is a little hole in the wall. They are a small biz and a staple in our neighborhood. The portions are good and the owner occasionally ask if you had enough. We love the value here too. One of the best deals for a meal. We get the gyro plate, and it comes with a salad. 10/10 recommendation

A true gem! I love authentic hole in the wall establishments. I have tried the gyro sandwiches from here and they are AMAZING. Everything is made to order and made with love. Thank you to the family that runs this place and shares their culture and food with us!

f you're in the mood for authentic Greek food, Nick's is an absolute must-visit! Their gyros are absolutely mouthwatering--packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The meat is tender and juicy, wrapped in soft, warm pita, and topped with fresh ingredients. But what really stood out were the fries. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and just the right amount of seasoning. They were the perfect complement to the gyros and definitely worth mentioning. The atmosphere at Nick's is warm and inviting, with a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're a longtime fan of Greek cuisine or new to it, Nick's is a place you'll want to return to again and again.

I've been the Nicks many times (5-10) but this is my first time reviewing it. Nick's is a simple and familial feeling Greek restaurant serving incredible food for refreshing prices. The service at Nicks is always great, greeting when you walk in and prompt ordering made simple. I've yet to have an experience where my food is not out rather shortly after ordering. This time, I opted for the Pastrami sandwich with soup, and the Gyro Sandwich with salad. (my usual at Nicks) The Gyro sandwich was flavorful, filling, and fresh per usual. Great servings of gyro along with tasty vegetables and a perfect Tzatziki sauce. While the pastrami sandwich could have benefitted greatly from a toasted bun and a few more slices of pastrami, it was still very flavorful and the pastrami was thick and tasty. The vegetable soup was a nice compliment and the broth was delicious. I'll continue to come to Nick's as my go-to Greek food spot for the consistent service and quality of food. I'm yet to have a poor experience at Nick's and I look forward to my next visit!

Have been going here for years. The gyro plates are usually good along with the Greek Salad. Spanokopita is good, the grape leaves (dolmas) are excellent. Staff is usually helpful and nice. Last visit the meat was a little more dry, probably just an off day.

Like fine wine, Aladdin's gets better with age. I have loved watching it evolve over the years,…read moreespecially the restaurant, which started as a small offering and has now really come into its own. We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

We were not disappointed! Here are a few things to know: - In addition to selling Mediterranean groceries, you can order at the register and there are several small tables so you can sit and eat. - I ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.

You can build a bowl, salad, wrap, or anything in between. I was so impressed with the selection of toppings and proteins! I found myself out and about with just my son and and we both thought a char grilled kebab sounded like a fun dinner experiment. We popped in and found who were guessing is the owner's child at the register and placed our order for their signature kebab made from ground chicken and Afghani spices. The plate came with sumac spiked basmati rice, two pieces of the chicken kebab and a small green salad plus a green hot sauce. The kebab was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile and a nice bit of charcoal flavor. We thought the rice was actually exceptional light and fluffy with a hint of that citrus sea tang from the sumac, in a buttery finish, made this a nice light side to the kebab. The salad was fresh and crunchy with cucumber, lettuce, and bell peppers and that green hot sauce was really great and we used it as a dressing because the salad did not come with one. For $16 I just felt like the value was a bit often the plate needed at least one more piece of the kebab because when finished with a small tiny salad and the kebab, we were left with a mountain of rice and that is south wasteful. I just wish the plates here were a bit more valued oriented and I guess it will take more people eating here to kind of drive that up. Highly recommend giving it a try plus the market has some really fun fines too. Share your review and let me know what you think.

When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.
