I'm falling in love with these !!!!

I really love with this food. Beef don, Agedashi Tofu and seaweed salad. Prices are cheap !!! I used to get sushi foods and today it was my first time I have kitchen foods. Its very tasty :) It tasted just like the family food I ate in Japan last year. To compare this store, it is like a small Japanese restaurant that only local people in Japan enjoy eating. The atmosphere is quiet, the food is qualitative and quantitative. It is very peaceful place for couples and singles to avoid from noisy resturant. The reason I wrote this review is some reviewers critizied this resturant so I coulnd't ingore that evry customer has different experiences I understand that. But I had nice times with this resturant. So I'm writing for those who might hesitate to go on a bad review.

Living 5 minutes from the restaurant this has become our families staple for sushi. When entering you are greeted by the staff in a traditional Japanese greeting. The wait staff is eager to seat you and take your drink orders immediately. They have private tables for private parties and can accomodate up to 30 guests on a table in the main dining area. Their bar seats up to 8 people and the chefs are always friendly. The best part about Sushi 21 is the quality food and the low prices. They have take out and even have nice presentation on the take out. i highly recommend this for all sushi eaters!

    The Oysters!!

The OYSTERS are to die for. Theyre bigger than the average $3/piece at fancy restaurants. My husband and I go here 2x a month and love it everytime. Its best to order ahead bcus it takes time to prepare the oysters. The red sauce is what makes it so delicious so ask for extra sauce n lime.

Poor service, average food. Perfect if you enjoy waiting 30 mins for cold miso soup. Won't be returning any time soon.

SO good. Maki specialty rolls dominate the menu options here. Never tried one I didn't like. Ozeki Saki Dry on hand too, total bonus.

Especially to save anybody else from what we had to endure. We came in for dinner after a long, exhausting day of running errands.... myself, my sister, and my 83-year-old mother. We were seated modestly quickly, which gave us hope. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that went right. Shortly after being seated, a man who appeared to be our server approached us not to take our order, but to tell us he was "too busy" to wait on us and that someone else would come. That set the tone immediately. When another server finally did come over, things didn't improve. It took OVER 15 minutes for Server to acknowledge us, And another 10 minutes just to take our order, while we watched multiple tables who were seated after us being served promptly and efficiently. At that point, we should have left. I eventually received an appetizer, but my mother and sister received nothing. As I sat there awkwardly picking at my food, we watched surrounding tables (who arrived after us), receive full meals before us. We flagged down our server, and only then were we casually informed that my mother's meal had been given to another table. No apology beforehand. No proactive communication. No attempt to correct it until we had to ask. Let that sink in: an elderly woman sat there (over a hour now), waiting, ignored, while her meal was served to someone else and no one thought to inform us. At that point, we got up and left. The front door staff were the only bright spots. They were polite and immediately got the manager. The manager assured my sister that the situation would be "handled," that we would be contacted, and that some form of recompense would be made for the experience. She was also so apologetic... But her apologies were as devoid is truth as her personality was devoid of any humanity. So her promises that she would reach out that we would be recompensed well...That never happened. No call. No follow-up. No accountability. As for the food? I can't fairly review it because we never actually received it. The small portion of appetizer I did get was nothing memorable, and the sake was honestly subpar. What I can review is the service, (if one can call it that,) and it was abysmal. Disorganized, inattentive, and completely lacking in basic professionalism and respect. Promises were made and not kept, which makes the experience even worse. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are too many places that actually value their customers' time, dignity, and experience. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

The dishes are served little by little at a deliberate pace, allowing you to actually enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Each plate felt intentional and thoughtfully prepared rather than filler leading up to a main dish. The progression of flavors was well done, starting lighter and gradually moving into richer, more satisfying bites. Fish quality was fresh and clean, with a good balance between rice and toppings. Presentation was simple and neat, keeping the focus on the quality of the food. Service paired nicely with the course format, with plates arriving at the right time without needing to ask. Staff provided explanations when appropriate but didn't hover. The ambiance was calm and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the flow of the meal. Portions weren't oversized, but by the end the meal felt complete and satisfying. This is a great spot if you appreciate a slower, more intentional sushi experience instead of rapid, all-at-once ordering. I'd definitely return, especially for the course format.
