Holy wow! What a spread. It's hot and I don't feel like cooking tonight. Our default takeout meal is Sushi 88. I ordered from GrubHub and LaToya was prompt and friendly. Everything arrived exactly as I expected, but this Bento box was mammoth! I love Sushi 88 because my husband can get all of the goodies on a pupu platter and I can get- well, normally sushi. Today I'm sick with a head cold, so I'm wanting rice and miso soup. Of course I had to have my Agadashi tofu- even if I can't taste it very well. You know what shined through with the vibrance of 1,000 suns? The miso soup! This is how I ended up with the Bento box. It comes with fried shrimp, white rice, miso soup and I got the beef teriyaki. It was a hit. I got all this for basically the same price I would pay for our usual order except this time I didn't order extra steak skewers, or sushi, or fried shrimp. Total deal. My husband fully endorsed me ordering the Bento box again. It also came with some krab sushi, battered veggies and shrimp, and a salad. There was a serious pile of steak. They give you a bunch of containers if teriyaki sauce in the side. I think going forward this will be our new order on repeat. Last week I rated Sushi 88 4 stars. That spread is worth 5 stars today. Go ahead Sushi 88! I am impressed!

This AYCE Sushi is our favorite in Las Vegas. Great menu selection, delicious sushi and other dishes, great service, and decent prices. We have never had a negative experience here. Highly recommended.

Cozy neighborhood sushi place with an all you can eat menu or à la carte. The service was kind and very helpful. Even though we ordered off the à la carte menu, it was very reasonably priced definitely worth a trip here to have good fresh sushi at a good price.

    Always great food

Always great food , normally deliver from uber but just found out if you call and pick up prices are way better

Came here with a party of 6 and an automatic 18% gratuity was added. Right from the start, the server was rude. Two kids in our group ordered all-you-can-eat, while the rest of us wanted just a few menu items. The waiter kept repeating the 'no sharing' rule and watched our table like a hawk, which made us uncomfortable -- we weren't sharing, so it felt unnecessary and a bit hostile. Thankfully, another male server was much more polite and helpful. He bussed our table, checked in without the judgmental glares, and made the experience a little better. As for the food, it was decent, but the sushi had more rice than fish, so the ratio was off. The restaurant itself feels cramped -- tables are close together, the decor is cluttered, and TVs with football playing

Used to order weekly. Food was very good, always consistent quality. However last night we ordered the Rainbow Roll and other items. The roll reeked of bad fish. Tried one bite and it was SO spoiled that I had to spit it out and repeatedly wash my mouth out. Tried to reach the manager but they would not answer their phone. Left a VM. No return call. Called today to discuss and told the manager was out running errands. Was told they were "busy last night." OK but for years the food has been excellent and fresh. I asked for the woman on the phone to have the manager please call me and she hung up on me. Incredibly rude. Must have new and horrible management. Very disappointing, especially for being long time customers.

I located this sushi restaurant online and wanted to try it out. On this particular day, I decided to do takeout and they had a special for buy one get one so I looked at the menu picked out a couple different options and call in my order. I will admit it took a couple times for someone to answer the phone, which was a little bit frustrating. Once I got to the restaurant to pick up the order, the ambience of the restaurants was very intimate, and I could see myself going back and sitting down at this location. As far as the sushi itself, I would give it a rating as average....

Lunch. Andy did a boat and didn't have to. They do half rolls.

Great place. Came for a late lunch and was having a bad day. This made my day so much better. For an all you can eat sushi place, I put them on a higher level. Sat with Andy one of the sushi chefs and he was great recommend the spicy salmon lemon roll and the Bonzai roll. Bother were excellent. The place is clean and doesn't smell like old fish. Everyone was nice and service was great. Will defiantly come back. Judging them on other sushi place in the area their peers I would give them 5 stars but I don't judge like that.

Had another great evening at Sushi 88 with our favorite server Sam. The 3 for the price of 2 rolls are a meal in its self. The Bento Boxes were huge. We've been eating here for years. It's the BEST and the prices are low.

Is the hibachi part of the AYCE menu?

Hi Valerie. The hibachi and AYCE sushi are separate menus. If you are looking for both, I'd recommend making a reservation for hibachi and then just ordering a few sushi items on the side!

Are they requiring reservations right now?

    No. But advised.

    Do they have AYCE sashimi?

    Yes

    Did they change ownership?

No, Michael, the owner, rebranded and added "all you can eat" and made the place look hip and new with new paint and lights and stuff. Food is still awesome!!

Do they do half rolls for AYCE?

    Yes they do

All you can eat for kids or adults? What day and time is the happy hour available?

They also do all you can eat now

What time is the lunch specials?

    It's from opening until 3pm.

They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. Next time we're in Vegas, we'll absolutely come back and try some more!

Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. The space was simply but well decorated. They picked a great upbeat soundtrack for midday. It was a wonderful meal all around! I'll be back for sure.

We decided to sit at the sushi bar, which turned out to be a great choice. It gave us the opportunity to interact with the chef and watch him prepare everything right in front of us. You could immediately tell how talented and experienced he was just by watching his knife skills and the care he put into every dish. We started with the Albacore Tuna, cut into six beautiful slices. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise.
