    Horny Dragon sooo good!

This is a really great spot on the North side of town! When entering the restaurant we were instantly greated and the employees were friendly. We were seated right away, which was awesome! This place does have limited seating, but they do have variety to include sitting at the sushi bar. The menu has a great variety and I loved that they broke down their menu by type of roll, rather than just listing them one by one. The menu could benefit from some more pictures, but overall it was clean and easy to find things based on what you like. Unfortunately they do not offer half rolls, so keep that in mind when ordering. The rolls are also decent size, so order a little at a time or you could regret it. Half rolls is probably the biggest reason this place didn't get a 5 from me. I would normally be able to try 4-6 different rolls at a place that officers half rolls, but here I could only try 3 rolls. For me, I know what I typically like so that was fine, but for a newcomer to sushi, this could be problematic. I ordered the Sun of the Beach which I typically order at other sushi restaurants. They had their own version of it which was not bad. The sauce was a little sweeter, and there wasn't much of it. Typically this roll has 2 different sauces, one of them being spicy mayo. This one had a sweeter sauce that was similar to yum yum. Additionally, instead of fresh salmon they had salmon tempura on top. It was not bad but I probably wouldn't order it again. The Horny Dragon roll was my favorite. The sauces were flavorful (wish there was a little bit more but not the end of the world) and the eel on top was crispy and delicious! I definitely recommend giving that roll a try! My husband ordered the Volcano roll and it was also very delicious. It had just the right amount of spice that wasn't over bearing and the baked scallops on top were the star of the show. We tried a few appetizers and the "who's your daddy" was the best. It was a flavor bomb of crab, shrimp, cream cheese and sauce. Amazing! The green muscles were out of this world delicious! I don't know what sauces are used on those but 10/10! The "who's your ex wife" was similar but it was wrapped in jalapeno. Because it is only fried for most likely a couple minutes, the jalapeno was pretty much raw and it was a big chunk, so I was not a huge fan. It was similar to a jalapeno popper because everything eas stuffed into it, but the raw jalapeno threw off the flavor. The garlic edamame was also great. Not too spicy but enough to add a little kick of flavor. Our server was awesome! They kicked butt and was not only greating/seating customers but was also taking orders and bringing the food to the tables. They stopped to talk to every table and were really personable. They gave great recommendations and even gave some insight on the history of the restaurant and how the new owner has some great ideas coming! We look forward to coming back and seeing how this restaurant evolves. The food was tasty and the employees were friendly, that alone is worth coming back for. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area!

Sushi Day is a small reasonably good sushi restaurant located in North Las Vegas. You can order a la carte or go for the All-You-Can-Eat (lunch around $25. Dinner around $30). The prices are very low here. It's not the high end melt in your mouth stuff here but it will do for a sushi fix. We went for the all you can eat ($29.95@) Between us we tried a lot of things. crispy tuna, vegetables tempura, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, snapper sushi, spicy tuna roll, salmon lover roll, Korean BBQ Beef Burrito, fried shrimp, and yuzu sake. On the night we were there they made the nigiri sushi with loose rice that fell apart. The rest was reasonably good. I never had yuzu sake before. To me it didn't taste like sake but was refreshing and not too sweet. Our server was very helpful and efficient. 3 stars is a positive review on Yelp and translates to A-OK

It's a small place, but the service is quick and the employees are really chill! The food is wonderful, but maybe I'm biased since I'm a sushi lover hehe! I like that this is closer to home so I'll definitely come by more often!

Started with sparkling water in a chilled glass. Nice touch. Servers were friendly and checked on us. Food was very good. I did not like that they add 3% for paying with credit. I don't enter my PIN in wireless terminals. That policy makes it unlikely I will go back, but I did enjoy my dinner.

North Las Vegas isn't known to have good sushi but this one is a gem! Small but very cute, has an all you can eat menu and super close to my house. My favorite sushi spot since the new owner took over. My two teenagers and I all did the all you can eat and there was not one thing we didn't like. Absolutely delicious and a must try!

Yelp Review 2023 #202: I've been to pretty much all AYCE sushi restaurants in town but I've never felt sick after eating sushi until I went to this place. This replaced a sushi spot I used to frequent years ago (Sushi Wow). I came in around 1pm over the weekend. So, they weren't busy at all. They only had 2 other parties. I had a small wait before I got seated. It was 1 person behind the sushi bar, and 2 servers. I was the only Asian person in the restaurant - big red flag! On weekends, their AYCE is $31+ all day. On weekdays, lunch is cheaper, dinner is $31+. My advice is to drive to Chinatown or go to Centennial for AYCE sushi and definitely avoid this place. I ordered shrimp tempura, calamari, nigiri, and a few rolls. Everything was sweet even the spicy rolls were sweet! It was horrible. The fish look like they've been sliced using a dull knife. The rice was dry and old. The food came out really slow. The other table was complaining they haven't gotten a lot of their order. The food made me so sick, I was throwing up in the car which is a first for me. This is a BIG NOPE!

Amazing, top notch service. Both owner/sushi chef and server were extremely kind. The server was really personable & made sure we were taken care of. Food was also good! We got the vampire & orange crush. While both were tasty, we enjoyed the freshness of the orange crush! The chef also made us a cute orange boat for waiting- which wasn't even a long wait. All around vibes were good.

Everything arrived exactly as I expected, but this Bento box was mammoth! I love Sushi 88 because my husband can get all of the goodies on a pupu platter and I can get- well, normally sushi. Today I'm sick with a head cold, so I'm wanting rice and miso soup. Of course I had to have my Agadashi tofu- even if I can't taste it very well. You know what shined through with the vibrance of 1,000 suns? The miso soup! This is how I ended up with the Bento box. It comes with fried shrimp, white rice, miso soup and I got the beef teriyaki. It was a hit. I got all this for basically the same price I would pay for our usual order except this time I didn't order extra steak skewers, or sushi, or fried shrimp. Total deal. My husband fully endorsed me ordering the Bento box again. It also came with some krab sushi, battered veggies and shrimp, and a salad. There was a serious pile of steak. They give you a bunch of containers if teriyaki sauce in the side. I think going forward this will be our new order on repeat. Last week I rated Sushi 88 4 stars. That spread is worth 5 stars today. Go ahead Sushi 88! I am impressed!

It has been over a year since we came here and we're so glad we decided this was our destination for dinner this evening. We chose the Monster Roll, Ninja Roll, and Spider-Man Roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The salmon was buttery and literally melted in your mouth, and all the flavors were perfectly balanced. They also had a special where, for just $1 more when you order a boat, you get a beer...my husband happily took advantage of that and enjoyed a refreshing cold one. From start to finish, everything was perfect! Excellent customer service, a clean and welcoming space, tables neatly set with plates and napkins, and a calming, relaxing atmosphere. I called ahead with a simple question and was left on hold for about six minutes. When I called back, there was no apology -- just a quick answer followed by being hung up on. Not a great first impression. When I arrived, the restaurant itself looked okay, but definitely not high-end. My table wasn't properly cleaned, and even the sanitizer bottle on the table was dirty. After being seated, I had to ask multiple times (three times) just to get a menu. I was told to scan a QR code instead, but when I requested a physical menu, it felt like an inconvenience to them. The issues didn't stop there -- my water glass was dirty, and when I ordered, I noticed price discrepancies between the QR menu and the paper order sheet. When I pointed this out, instead of clarifying or apologizing, I was told I didn't know how to use the menu, which was honestly frustrating and unprofessional. As for the food -- it wasn't bad, but for the price, it should be better. The sushi rolls were small and pretty standard, nothing unique or memorable. I also had to ask multiple times for basic items like wasabi and ginger. Overall, the service was the biggest problem here.
