Been here maybe around 4-5 times with my family. Every time we walk in the vibe is always pleasant, everyone is cheerful and attendant. They constantly check on you if everything is okay at the beginning then understand to give you personal space to enjoy your food and not constantly have to answer questions with a mouth full of food. They made sure to come around, pick up, refill drinks, and stay around if we had any questions. Food is also pleasant, great price for all you can eat. I usually am wary of appetizers but they have a great selection! The menu also makes sure to describe what is in each sushi roll for those who are picky and looking for something specific. The food does make you full but not heavy, and sometimes you have leftovers you can take home! There is a 50 cent charge for every sushi piece you don't finish but I haven't seen them enforce this rule that much. I am definitely looking forward to going there more in the future with family or friends!

Great tasting and great price. My buddy ate 5 rolls on the "All you can eat menu". Not sure how he did it, but he did. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they used way too much cream cheese in their rolls. Over powers the fish and other ingredients. I will be back for sure.

I love that Sushi Ai is one of the few sushi restaurants that offers AYCE menu in St Louis. The prices have gone up from $18.99 to $23.99/ person (it's been like 4 years since the $18.99) for the regular AYCE menu but I think it's still a good deal. I always love the nigiris (especially the squid and the octopus) as they have a great selection and I can order multiple times. The roll selection is also great to choose from. My favorites are the Volcano, Sapporo and Pop Up. The appetizers menu is alright, it's a nice add-on. I usually order edamame to share with people as it is pretty big then order dumplings and shumai for myself. They also have a regular menu with lots of variety. To be honest, I've been to Sushi Ai so many times, both the Clayton and Ballwin locations but somehow never written a review... I'm glad that the Ballwin location is close to my house and they've been doing an amazing job through out the pandemic!

Whenever I am craving sushi, this is the place to go. The service is friendly and attentive even when the restaurant is packed. It's my favorite place to relax and enjoy endless delicious raw fish until my stomach hurts.

I would call it rice ball rather than sushi... the fish is super small and very thin that couldn't even cover the rice... crab salad was pretty good. Dress is very refreshing.

My daughter and I love having lunch together here! You can't beat the lunch special and any roll you choose is delicious. The service is always great and fast.

I like the sushi japan's sushi. They have thick fish meat than any other sushi bar I have been to before.

Tonight was a good night for family sushi night at Ninja…read more Our waitress was very helpful, and thorough, making sure the items we ordered had no gluten... apparently some of the eel and other fish might be marinated in sauces that might have gluten. Ninja does have gluten-free soy sauce, but you'll likely not want much soy sauce because you won't want it hiding the great flavors of Ninja's sushi. Tonight we enjoyed a variety of rolls, most chef's choice: - Kimi roll - Philly roll - Sumo roll - Salmon avocado - Dynamite (no crunch) - two... not one, but two Golden Dragon rolls... with curved slices of mango on top and a fantastic mango sauce Our waitress was intent to find a gluten free sauce for us and provided a combo sauce - half pink / half darker color (unsure the actual flavor but it was good). Before tonight, we have known that Ninja has the cook-at-your-table hibachi grill but we've only ever enjoyed their sushi. Tonight... I ventured to their hot food. I didn't have much to eat earlier in the day, so I ordered a side of shrimp fried rice and I'm very glad I did... great flavors egg and onions, and fantastic rice unto itself. Thank you, Nan

I didn't realize that they shut down at the end of lunch and open back up for dinner. With that being said they didn't rush me or make me feel uncomfortable. I wanted to be seated at a habachi table. I didn't know that it was only available for dinner. They still will prepare habachi for you but only in the back. The combination of steak and chicken habachi is delicious. The clear soup was very good. The salad with ginger dressing was excellent. The chicken lomein was great too. The price was very good. There is plenty of parking in this strip mall. I love the atmosphere. I would love to come back for dinner.

We went this past week for my husband's birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival and sat. We ordered our drinks and received them quickly and then began to review the menu and try to pick out our favorites. My husband and I always go for the edamame as well as crab rangoon because why not? We each ordered a few rolls and all the flavors were fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the whole experience itself was perfect. Definitely would go back to this location and highly recommend others to go as well. Order the edamame with the addition of spicy & garlic - does not disappoint. I loved the Manhattan Roll, perfect blend of flavors and slight heat. My husband really enjoyed the Alaska and Fried Philly Roll. Service was top notch, much larger location than St Charles and there are options for lunch, happy hour and specialty items for all kinds of occasions.

We're long time Izakaya Ren fans and were very interested to see what the new ownership added to the experience...loved it! Chef Jimmy was great and has added some nice new touches to the menu. He also was kind enough to put together one of our favorite rolls from the past, thank you so much! We started with the seaweed salad and were pleasantly surprised by the addition of thinly sliced cucumber. What a nice addition and it made the salad just a touch larger in portion...very nice starter with great flavor. Then 3 rolls...crazy salmon, corona (our special request) and a rainbow roll. All were fantastic and yes, we also think they are larger in portion! This is the first time we've taken leftovers home and we were both stuffed (in a good way). No let down under new management at all. I anticipate there will be great sushi at Izakaya Ren for a long time to come. And, I can't finish this review without mentioning our server Erica...what a fun, engaging and friendly server. She really made our sushi experience complete. Great job Chef Jimmy, Erica and all the staff at Izakaya Ren...still our favorite sushi restaurant. Yesterday I ordered online for pick up at 4:55 pm and set it for pick up ASAP. The order said that…read moreit would be ready in 175 minutes (around 7:45 pm). I thought this was a mistake because that's insanely long for the 2 rolls. I went in person around 6:45 pm to ask about the order. And the waitress didn't even try to look into it and dismissed my concerns. I understand that they are busy and it was a happy hour night (Tuesday night). But all the meantime between 6:45 - 8:15 pm, I saw new groups waiting for a table, and then they got a table, ordered, and by the time I got my order 8:15pm, those groups left the restaurant. So, I don't understand how I was ordering only 2 rolls to go at 4:55pm and wasn't able to get the order for 175 minutes? I have dined in at Wasabi in Clayton before during my college days (2014 - 2018), and my expectation was that all the Wasabi would be just as good still. But, I guess it's been awhile since I've gone to a Wasabi location and looking at a lot of the latest reviews at this location, I do not think I will be back. Disclaimer too: this was my first time ordering online at this location, so if this was the norm, then I don't think it's worth the wait. I even thought about dining in to get seated last night because they definitely prioritize the people dining in, but I saw other low reviews while I was waiting and then made up my mind of not coming back. There were four waitresses and looked to be only two chefs in the back. But, I still think it was unfair that I saw people get seated, eat, then leave all during the time that I was waiting for 2 rolls. As for food: I ordered the Alaska and Mango roll for $7 each. And the rice was not great and the Alaska roll was not even worth it. I hate that I have to leave a poor review, but I think last night's ordeal was not ideal for future visits. I wish I had looked into the reviews before heading there.
