Their service was impeccable!! Entered with a kind greeting along with the menu being served right away, very easy to order. We ordered both chicken and shrimp tempura udon soups, non of which I've ever tried. The broth was SO flavorful and I appreciate the pickled radish and spices alongside it. The chicken was well cooked and very flavorful! Their food presentation was so neat and very picture worthy. Only con for the shrimp tempura was how thin the fish was, most of it being batter. I'd also wish the fish was served aside as it did become very soggy being served in the soup itself. The environment was clean and very spacious with nice lighting too. They also have a bathroom, well cleaned and kept up nicely. I'd definitely come back and try their sushi next. Thanks.

Got the 4 Roll Box for lunch and loved the careful packaging and freshness of the fish! Great option in the area for a quick grab and go meal. The shrimp tempura roll was my favorite. The box comes with ginger and edamame as sides as well :)

Salmon Sushi Roll Box for lunch yesterday. Again, it was packed so nicely.

I found this eatery via my MealPal app. I was skeptical at first, but I am so happy I gave it a try. First, the place is small, but they do have a nice seating area for about 10 to 16 peeps. The decor is very cute, too. Second, the service is great. On Tuesday, my 1st lunch pickup, it was packed and the lady apologized for the delay when she handed me the order. Yesterday, my order was ready the minute I walked in. This other lady behind the counter was friendly, too. Now the most important part, the sushi and rolls were delicious and fresh. They also give you a side of Edamame in the box. The points used for these lunches are higher than other places on the MealPal app, but it is so worth it! Can't wait to see what's on the menu for next week!!

This is a fast casual spot. The lady behind the counter taking your order also serves and buses tables. I ordered the udon with marinated beef bowl. They make the soup in house. The bowl took a little bit longer to make, but it came out piping hot. The beef was very tasty and not dry at all. The soup was delicious, maybe a tiny bit oily, but not going to stop me from enjoying it. The noodles were perfect. Minor note: They no longer serve ramen and the prices have increased since some of the older postings of menu. Regardless, I would definitely come back and try their sushi.

    Omakase Box

Found my new lunch spot! Fresh sushi with a variety of made to order boxed meals or order a custom omakase Box. That's exactly what my friend and I did. I must've oogled everything and finally decided on a lunch set that included a spicy tuna roll, regular tuna roll and some sushi pieces. My friend got the omakase set, you can choose eight pieces of sushi you like. It's packed fresh on the spot based on your custom order. Some of the meals come with miso soup and/or a salad. Different price points based on your budget so definitely lots to choose from. There is some seating, only for single or two seaters. It's a small space but very efficient as far as placement of everything and the seating. There's tables and high tops but narrow. I'll definitely return to try more stuff. They accept card and cash.

This place is so beautiful! Clean and a good place to rest and eat your food in peace. Service is fast and the food is delicious! The spicy beef ramen was to die for!!!

This place recently opened up and i wanted to try out some of their menu items. I got some pork dumplings and a spicy tuna onigiri. The onigiri was very spicy and delicious. The dumplings were hot as they were made fresh. The filling was delicious and enough juice on it. The staff was very friendly and the inside was clean.

This is a nice casual restaurant near Grand Central Terminal. Staff was friendly and service was quick! I ordered the Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll and Miso Soup. The sushi was flavorful but definitely not spicy. The soup was quite hearty and great for a winter day!

Stopped by for a quick bite. This place has really delicious sushi! 4 rolls plus salad in a nice bento box for $24 Also if you are in need of a light snack I suggest their onigiri which are packed with yummy shrimp, tuna or chicken for $6.50 each. It hit the spot for me! The staff is friendly and this place is clean with limited seating for those who want to stay to eat. They do have a bathroom for customers too. I would totally come back to try more of their rolls!

We stopped by here after painting at Shot of Art. This place is fairly new but not lacking any customers. What immediately jumped out were the sushi rolls with black rice. I'd never seen that before so I had to try it. We got the combo platter of shrimp tempura with black rice and spicy tuna. Tempura is.mh favorite sushi and it didn't skip a beat with the black rice. I'm going to look for sushi restaurants that make it like this. The tuna was indeed spicy, but not overpowering. The pork dumplings were tender and flavorful.

Very cute sushi/udon spot in New York. Fairly easy ordering (although many choices). Was wandering around looking for lunch and a sudden rsi storm drove me into this shop - glad it did!

I had excellent takeout from this location. I ordered the sushi box and picked 9 pieces consisting of salmon, tuna and gold tuna (with gold leaf - pretty) with a seaweed salad. Everything was delicious and fresh and warranted the $29 price. Though a bit luxurious for my typical lunch, I really enjoyed the treat!

    Nina D.

I was impressed by this sushi but felt it was a little expensive considering what you get. The first thing I have to say is the presentation was phenomenal. The box itself is stunning with a cute flower and little compartments. They had a great mix of sushi rolls and lots of vegetarian options as well. I got a mix of regular and premium roles. The rainbow role was by far my favorite and so flavorful. You could tell the fish was great quality and they took so much care in making each box. The 4 roll box is definitely filling but don't recommend the side salad (instead get the edamame!)

Some of the staff has been here for a while, which tells me it is a well managed operation. Quality is still the focus at TONCHIN. Table comfort is still not. I love to bring my children when not crazy crowded so they can also enjoy one of the best ramen restaurants in the world. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but I haven't found better yet. Summer soupless ramen with perfectly chewy noodles and slightly spicy sauce is a great addition. The vegan ban ban kinoko as well as its chicken version are great also during summer. The maguro is delicious but I don't find it as satisfying as the noodles. Mind spiciness level for the younglings. In the winter, the spicy tantan or Tokyo ramen always hit the spot. Fish bun has been improved slightly over the years but thank ramen-sama, it is always as messy to eat as the first time I tried it 7 years ago. Desserts are surprisingly delicious. Typically Japanese ramen restaurants lack in that domain but not here. The Tokyo banana is perfectly crafted: creamy crunchy tasty. The shaved ice are great and super fun to eat. Every meal I had from the chicken baos to my ramen was jaw dropping. I wish I could just snap my fingers and have their ramen right in front of me. You know a soul is delicious when you don't have to add extra sauces or spices. It's a tight place so not the best for large parties. However the decorations and overall feel of the place is welcoming. I will say, the drinks too a bit long to come out and they were super expensive. One drink was $20 I believe. Which is more than the ramen itself haha I wouldn't go here for drinks cause you'll end up spending a ton of money. We started with the pork belly appetizer which was recommended and stated on the menu indicating it's their featured dish. It was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely fatty with large chunks of fat, while the lean portions were dry. It didn't look very appetizing. The dumplings were just okay--they had decent flavor but I was hoping for a crispier texture. I ordered the Zebra Ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, but the broth was much saltier than I would have preferred. The pat of butter felt unnecessary and made the broth overly rich without adding much depth. The chashu was on the small side and also quite fatty and I assume it's the same as the appetizer but was sliced instead of in large chunks. The marinated egg had good flavor, although the yolk was a little more cooked than I typically like. Another thing is the pork belly appetizer came with an egg. I wish the server would tell us so we didn't have to add it to our ramen with an extra charge. The nori was also completely soggy by the time it reached our table. Overall, the noodles were the only highlight of the meal and the rest were very underwhelming. It's definitely not a place I would recommend.

This spot delivers the kind of authentic paitan that reminds you why people used to line up on cold sidewalks just for a bowl. I ordered the Paitan Ramen Deluxe, and it genuinely lives up to the name. The broth is silky, rich, and comforting without being overly salty which is exactly what a proper paitan should be. The bowl comes loaded: tender shredded chicken, seared chashu, marinated soft-boiled eggs, fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a sheet of nori that ties everything together. Every topping tastes intentional, not just filler. The texture balance is what really stands out fatty chashu that melts, shredded chicken with real flavor, and noodles that hold up beautifully in the broth. You can taste the care in the soup base; it has depth, not just heat or salt. If you loved Totto Ramen back in the day, this feels like its modern successor same spirit, new precision.
