    The best stout!

Fast, fresh, and delicious sushi right inside the Moynihan Food Hall at Penn Station! Ordering is super convenient -- just scan the QR code at any table in the food hall and they'll deliver your sushi right to you. If you manage to grab a seat at the sushi counter, you can even watch the chefs prepare everything right in front of you. It's a busy spot (as expected inside a major train station), but that's part of the energy. A steady mix of locals and travelers is always a good sign. Overall, it's a great choice for quick, tasty, and convenient dining while waiting for your train.

Yono located in Moynihan Food Hall at Moynihan Train Station serves a variety of hot donburi rice bowls, rice bowls, appetizers as well as ready-to-eat cold items. The ready-to-eat sushi, sushi rolls, bowls and salad are upfront before reaching the cashier and neatly organized and labeled. It's also well lit making it easy to see the quality of these goods. It makes it very efficient if needing a quick choice to-go. They also have 11 seats bar style around the corner of their establishment. There's also a hook to hang bags; they're so considerate with their concept! The other side of the bar is where the chefs prepare the food prior to opening. It is nice to know that everything is fresh! I started with the sashimi over a bed of greens that was beautifully arranged!! This definitely fed my eyes! I loved taking a pause with ginger slice in between to cleanse the palette and enjoy the next one. The hot meals only takes 10 minutes to prepare. The rice is very hot, pressed down to the bottom while the toppings are also neatly arranged. The Crispy Spicy Shrimp is indeed crispy and coated in a spicy sauce. I eat spice on the regular so I was not phased by the spice level of the shrimp. It was a great opportunity to mix it in wasabi! I loved the picked vegetables it came with increasing one's palette.

Best train station sushi ever. Got the pre-packaged double salmon avocado roll which had generous slices of fresh and soft fish on top of rice which was somehow not hard at all. The spicy crispy shrimp bowl was packed with flavors and the shrimp was addictive - lightly battered and still crispy. Slightly pricey but not bad for this quality of food. Having been to BONDST, this lives up to that quality but in a fast casual setting.

Pretty good for train station sushi! Got a sushi set for a light dinner one night for around $58. Quick in and out - was easy to just grab 2 seats at the counter. They also have a sake menu, though I didn't try it. Will likely return!

Had omakase inside a train station, which is something I've never thought I'd ever do. Despite the idea of it, which isn't really that appealing in NYC because of the culture in the US compared to Asia (homeless/mentally ill people walking up to you from behind mainly and lack of respect), I actually enjoyed this experience and chef Andrew made it a better experience. He was very interactive with his guests as he made and served all of the pieces while also explaining each one. The experience lasted a little over an hour, so not ideal if you're trying to catch a train, but they do have a grab n go section as well. The omakase experience itself is $95 and it's a 13 course. My highlights were the king salmon, uni, toro, seaweed tartlet, and the pacific blue crab hand roll. We also ordered the Tuna Crispy Rice ($14) and the Crab Crispy Rice ($22) as we saw other people ordering these. Seems like they're the top seller and I can see why.

My sister and I came here for an early dinner. The service was great, when the waiter came she asked us if we were in a rush, which we were not. The table tops were clean and it was cool to be able to see the chefs at work. We ordered lychee saketinis to drink and they were fresh and fruity. For starters we had the tuna crispy rice which was fresh and crispy. We both ordered 3 hand rolls. I got the toro, salmon and yellow tail. All of the hand rolls tasted amazing and fresh but my favorite by far was the yellow tail. Will definitely come back again

First let me start of by saying this place is not cheap! It is worth every penny though because I purchased a pre packaged sushi roll and it was extremely fresh since the sushi is made there. I chose to have the Double Salmon Avocado roll. This place is in Moynihan Food Hall so it was so packed and busy during lunch time after wandering around for a seat one finally cleared up - if your inside Penn Station and want sushi YONO is the way to go. I didn't realize you could eat at their sushi bar because the place is like a corner restaurant inside Penn station so I couldn't see the other side. When I saw it it looked pretty good because they had a lot of sushi chefs preparing sushi - Of course you cannot eat the pre packaged sushi on their spot but rather on the space where all the eateries share kind of like at a mall area. Next time though I will choose to eat at the bar since their packaged sushi tasted so amazing!!!

Love this spot if you're in the area and taking the train from Penn Station! They have take out options and they have an awesome sushi bar. The sushi was soooo fresh and it's def like an omakase style. So yummy

This is the perfect spot for a quick weekday lunch! Their fish is so fresh and high quality. My fav dish was the rice bowl with tuna and salmon, and the crab/tuna yubu was delicious as well. I didn't try the omakase counter but judging by the quality of fish they use, I'm sure it would be good. It's fancy restaurant level food served in a fast casual environment! - @nyconthetable

I love BondST, but I imagine if you're passing in Moynihan Train Hall, chances are you don't have the privilege to sit down and enjoy full complete service. We ordered two Combo Chirashi Sushi Rice Bowls, which came out at a reasonable time. The fish tasted fresh for a takeaway spot, the spicy aioli sauce complemented the brown rice/ginger/tamago, but the only red flag I caught was the browning avocado slices. I'm sure it's hard to keep avocado fresh, but maybe a workaround would've been slicing it on the spot when someone orders a sushi rice bowl. Moynihan Train Hall is already nice and with Yono it makes for a pit stop worth stopping for some sushi!

Bringing the incredible sushi you expect from BONDST to Moynihan train hall might seem like a hard task, but YONO Sushi does it flawlessly! This 11 seat sushi bar offers suberb nigiri, temaki, and more - with an amazing sake list and delicious "saki-tinis." The experience was made even more special by the fantastic service and the mastery of the chefs behind the counter! The menu was extensive and impressive and you absolutely cannot miss the 12 piece nigiri, the spicy tuna hand roll, and the incredible chef's sushi roll. I'd say you should come here during your next trip through Moynihan station, but you really shouldn't wait - a trip to YONO Sushi will always be worth it in my book!

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit.
