Ordered sesame chicken and a mango salmon roll. No sesame on the chicken. It was heavily breaded and not much chicken to it.

Sushi 88 isn't the best sushi place in town, but I honestly don't have any complaints about the food. The only thing I will say is that they seem to take quite a bit to bring your dishes out, and one of the people at our table ended up waiting 20 minutes while we were all already eating before they received their food. Most of their special sushi rolls are tempura based, so keep that in mind. Here's what I tried: -Rainbow Roll: 8/10 - delicious, topped with fresh fish and rich avocado, and the crunch inside adds great texture. I would just love for there to be a spicy mayo on top or something just to add a little touch. -Chicken Teriyaki Entree: 8/10 - This is a LOT of food! It comes with gyoza, soup, and rice, and the chicken itself is your standard Teriyaki entree. Again, it's nothing mind-blowing but it's what you expect, though still on the expensive end even considering everything you get with it. -Chicken Katsu Ramen: 8/10 - Pretty big portion, comes with an egg that was just slightly runny, lots of delicious noodles, some Bok Choy, and the crispy chicken katsu. The chicken was a bit thin and not the most flavorful, but it was very crispy. The broth was warm and salty, just not the deepest flavor, but that's expected with normal broth ramen. It's a good meal, and I didn't have any complaints, but wouldn't necessarily go running back either. I know my friends have also enjoyed their miso soup and salad as cheap appetizers, and their minecraft roll. I think this is your average, middle of the road Sushi and stir fry restaurant. The service is okay, not stellar, and the prices are on the steeper end as with any sushi place. But it works, and the menu is really big so you'll definitely find something you like.

Sushi is alright here, you get what you pay. However, one thing I commend this restaurant for is being able to recognize what trash looks like. I came here with my cheating ex bf, and they put a staple in his soup. The only reason why I took one star off is because unfortunately, he did not die from this incident and is instead very much alive.

The food arrived quickly via Uber eats and the delivery guy was super friendly! I've ordered a variety of food from here on several occasions and am always overall satisfied. The mei fun is always my favorite here. The spring rolls are absolutely delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the gyoza but that is probably my fault as I prefer the steamed version. You can also get pretty affordable and yummy sushi rolls here. Overall this is a great spot for quick and tasty food at a good price!

Almost forgot to take pics this time like we forgot last time!!!!

You walk in and can see the raw bar and part of the kitchen. All of the staff welcomed us in and were very friendly. The restaurant feels like a fish market with the open concept. I liked how it was nice and high quality food and drinks, without being too fancy. That makes it so much easier to enjoy a good meal without dressing to the Ts. I opted out of getting a drink this time, but they had three Floyd's canned beer which my boyfriend ordered. It was good and they did serve it with a glass which is always appreciated. We both ordered the grouper sandwich (mine with no bun) and then shared the hamachi crudo. The crudo was delicious, but the hibiscus sauce was slightly over powering in my opinion. I really liked the sauce, I just prefer to be able to taste the fish a little bit more. The fish itself was very good. The group was huge! (Yes we both ate the entire thing). That "Florida sauce" they serve with it is a game changer. Might have to order more to go next time. Definitely will be back to Fishmonger! This time with a reservation!

We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

As we settled in with the menu our questions were answered. The pretzel appetizer took a rather long time. Apparently the original portion was burned and was remade. Our main meal arrived and I ordered a brown ale. I nearly finished my burger before the ale arrived "The bar was backed up". Our meals were hot and freshly made from the kitchen. The Jasper Burger was juicy and the bleu cheese was slightly brown and went well with the patty. I was able to swap the American cheese out for the blue. If you're looking for a restaurant that puts seafood front and center, put this place on your list!…read moreIt can get busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. No reservation? Don't worry, you may be able to grab a seat at the beautiful bar when you walk in. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's great music playing softly in the background, and as you look around, you realize you're dining inside a beautifully renovated old warehouse. Here's a little inside history: the building was once used to make handles for old hammers and axes. Look closely at some of the beams and you can actually see the hammer marks! Okay, enough history, let's talk drinks! I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye Bourbon. It was very good and served with clear ice, which is always a good sign. My only complaint? They used a red cherry instead of a Maraschino cherry. They definitely need to step up their Old Fashioned game! They also made a great Dirty Martini, or as I like to call it, a "Dirty & Skanky Martini." Now for the food! We started with the Spanish Octopus, which was absolutely delicious. The Bluefin Belly was very good, and the Corn-Milk Hush Puppies were SOOOO good! We also tried the Summer Squash, which was another great addition to the meal. For my entrees, I went with the Wild Striped Bass, WOW! Amazing flavor, and check out the Jonah Crab on top! I also tried the Grilled Swordfish with Brisket Marmalade, and that was another winner. The combination of flavors was fantastic! And I have to give a big shout-out to the service. Everyone was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. If you're visiting Nashville, or you live here, put this place on your list! Great atmosphere, creative seafood dishes, excellent service, and some really memorable food. I'll definitely be back!
