    Beef gyoza

Ordered for takeout this past Saturday. Got the hot kiss baked roll minus avocado, dinner combo with spicy tuna & salmon shioyaki, and beef gyoza. Service was excellent, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and bright with ample seating for guests. All of the items tasted fresh and delicious, notably the hot kiss topped off with yummy langoustine. We were happy with our experience here, especially with Aqui a few doors down where we were able to pick up some swirls to go with our dinner from Sushi Arashi.

the service was amazing the tuna and the cut was spectacular. On my way over there as I type this to have some more tuna and sake bombs. Bless

For this review, it will be based off my my recent 2 visits. I always find myself retuning to this place for a meal. First time we got the salmon dance, salmon kama, and 4 rolls. That was enough to fill 4 people. The rolls were good but the salmon dance won all our vote for favorite part of the meal. Second visit: Def had to order the Salmon Dance again. Salmon is fresh and complimented with the radish, fish roe, and ponzu sauce beautifully. The yellowtail appetizer was delicious as well and got a nice kick. All of us liked the omg roll. That one impressed me. Rainbow roll is a good solid roll. Dinner combo means we get to select 2 items off the a set list for the price of ~$26, which is worth it considering the portion they give you. They give you full sized rolls when you order them with your dinner combos. We were all stuffed and even had leftovers. Service was good. The food came out fast and water was refilled when they noticed it running low. Until next time!

Looked up sushi places near me and saw this one. Photos looked promising and the reviews were good so we decided to try it. I'm glad we did. The fish was so fresh. That was the best Hamachi yellowtail we've ever had. I didn't expect to like the tempura as much as I did. The squash or whatever it was was my favorite. The crunch of the tempura and the shrimp and veggies were delicious. The rest of the sushi was good. Pretty standard as far as sushi goes. Sushi is either good or it's not and this one is good. Located in Willow Glen. Street parking or there's the parking lot across the street. Interior is nothing special but as long as it's clean and the food and the service is good that's all the matters. I do wish they had spicy edamame besides just the regular edamame that's the only thing missing for me

Lunch bento with tempura, sashimi and gyoza

If you are looking for affordable lunch bento, then look no further! This spot has a great selection of bentos which all include miso soup, salad, rice, and 4 california rolls. The inside is cozy and cute, and we did not have to wait on a weekday lunch. We opted for three different pick-3 options: sashimi, katsu and tempura for one, sashmi, gyoza and tempura for the second, and sashimi, karaage and tempura for the third. It was great to mix and match and get such huge portions for only $20 each bento. If you only choose 2 items it will be $18. All the food is fresh and delicious. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Great deal for the price! I just wish they could substitute the cali roll for a hand roll or maki of equal price, but they do not allow for substitions. Regardless, I would still come back (:

Tried this place because I was in the area. The shrimp balls the star of the show! Super flavorful and delicious! The lion king roll had good flavor however was mushy and kept falling apart. The rest of the rolls were good just not the best or memorable. The services was good, the food came out quick and the server was attentive. It is very small inside however there is space.

Ever since yuki sushi closed across the street this has been our go to spot. The prices are great and they have amazing vegetarian and vegan rolls!

Always an amazing time here! I may be biased since three years ago my now husband and I had our first date here, and every time we have been back it is just as great of an experience Our go to's are the monkey brains and the mango roll. The menu is large enough that we can try something different every time!

Tried Sushi Arashi takeout for the first time tonight. Had the mixed tempura appetizer and pan fried gyoza. It was excellent. The tempura serving was huge and included all sorts of veggies and two shrimp. Tempura broccoli is my favorite and there were three pieces! They even included extra dipping sauce, as I requested. There was so much I could barely finish it. The gyoza was very good, too. I like the pan fried style rather than deep fried. Yummy dipping sauce. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurant finds in San Jose! We love stopping by for a weekend lunch or dinner during the weekday. It's usually always crowded and the atmosphere is nice. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. I usually like the variety of the bento boxes with the marinated meat option with fried tempura and California rolls. The fried tempura is crispy and tastes delicious with the sauce. The California roll is creamy and smooth. The salad and rice is a really nice touch to the meal. I'll definitely be by soon for my next Japanese food fix, highly recommend checking it out!

Sushi Arashi is hands down my favorite sushi place in the South Bay. Overall, just great sushi at a great price point. Their sushi lunch combo is an amazing deal and the best way to enjoy their high-quality fish, imo. I highly recommend their sashimi, which includes two pieces each of salmon, tuna, and hamachi. The quality is outstanding none of the fish tastes fishy, the pieces are super fresh and firm, and the cuts are super thick .The sashimi here is easily my favorite and definitely stole the show. If you were to get anything here, it would be the sashimi. For sushi, we got the salmon avocado and hamachi rolls. I loved how firm and fresh the fish was, especially the salmon. The simplicity of the rolls really lets you enjoy the sizable pieces of fish. Even the fish in these rolls are generous. We also tried some of their special rolls, including the Sexy Lady, Hamachi, and Spider rolls. My favorite was the Lady roll. I loved the crispness of the flakes, and the unagi sauce was just the right amount, not too overpowering. The service here is excellent. The staff checked in frequently to refill water and take additional orders, and the atmosphere was perfect--not too loud, so you can easily have a conversation. There's plenty of parking behind the store if street parking is full. While it seems like a popular spot for DoorDash, it's just as wonderful a place to sit down, relax, and enjoy some great sushi. I definitely will be back another time and get more items and try their bento combo as well.

I've been meaning to go to this place for an exceptionally long time, but had continued to put it off before remembering as my friend mentioned wanting sushi. The parking area is a bit questionable (we entered through an area that had spikes that would prevent us from leaving the same way, but there is an exit) and somewhat crowded, but it didn't take too long to find parking in the area behind the restaurant. It was somewhat crowded inside of the restaurant, with a relatively dark and sleek ambiance. We had decided to get the sashimi special, alongside the rainbow roll and something else that I can't recall off of the top of my head but do have a photo for. Service took a while, but the portions were rather large. The sashimi was legendary. Normally I'm the type of person who prefers sushi rolls to sashimi, but the sashimi provided is thick and tasted good. The rolls also came in a decently large portion, which did leave a feeling of uncomfortable fullness once I was done, but it was satisfying enough. Although I would not try the rolls again, I would definitely come back for the sashimi. This is probably the thickest cut that I've experienced, with both an amazing texture and a wonderful taste. They also provided us with a salad (which apparently has nuts according to my friend) and miso soup (which I did not try since my friend could not eat the salad). Overall it was a pleasant experience, despite the way it ended.

Sashimi combo 12 pieces chef's choice with miso, salad. I also have the hot sake and Asahi.

It did feel a bit cramped but fortunately I was just in and out. Service was great too! We got the Lion King and a sashimi platter. The lion king was SOOO good. I always get worried ordering this at new sushi spots because I feel like it can be a hit or miss (especially when they load waaay too much spicy mayo on it lol) - this roll had the perfect amount where it wasn't too overpowering. The ingredients tasted fresh too! As for the sashimi platter - every piece was thick and fresh. I'd definitely come back for takeout! Make sure you call ahead of time.

Spotting a delicious-looking sashimi plate at the next seat made me eager to try their sushi. The menu featured a wide variety of dishes, including sushi rolls, soups, and specialty plates. Still, I found myself not fully in the mood, likely because I was disappointed about Flaming Ox. I ordered a dragon roll and, craving California rolls, decided to get two. My daughter chose the chicken teriyaki plate and really enjoyed it. The sushi was so fresh that I saved my extra California rolls for lunch the next day. I'd definitely return to try more of their beautiful rolls or sashimi plates. Service was decent overall. We waited a bit to place our order, but the food arrived promptly. There was a moment when our server took a while to return, and I grew so thirsty I almost went searching for him myself. Fortunately, another server noticed and quickly brought me water. When I looked at DoorDash, the bento box listed there didn't include the potstickers or California rolls. Ordering directly through the restaurant's website to get the full meal added about $12 in extra fees which made it much less appealing. Overall, the food was good and the in-person pricing felt reasonable. I'd happily dine here again but if you're considering delivery, be aware that you'll pay significantly more and may not get the same meal options.

The service was good--the servers were very friendly and attentive, and our food came out pretty quickly after we ordered as well. We ordered two of the sashimi sampler alongside the hamachi lover roll. I liked the roll! The ratio of fish, rice, and avocado were great. The sashimi sampler, however, was a little disappointing. The presentation was a little awkward--long, thin cuts of fish folded up into little bowls and scattered with greens. 4 of the 6 pieces were seared, which I have never expected when ordering sashimi. The pricing was a little on the higher end of normal, and, while the food was decent, it doesn't outdo any of the other local sushi spots that I have visited in the area.
