Finally found a sushi place close to work in Warren, but can't say that I was particularly thrilled with my experience here. Walking in, we were greeted and seated quickly. The interior is decently decorated and is nicer than what you would expect from the outside. OK sushi, but I've definitely had better. The rolls were a nice size, but most of it was rice. Didn't care for their ginger salad dressing either. I didn't have any of their other food, and there weren't any other people in the restaurant when I was there so I can't even say how their other selections looked. The server was nice but seemed to be on her own time schedule. For being the only table in the restaurant, I expected prompt service. Good thing I took a long lunch that day. This place is the best place for sushi in Warren. I have been coming here for years and have never not been satisfied. This place is extremely friendly. I recommend the Yum Yum Roll, the Hurricane Roll, the fried crab roll if you like fried rolls. If you like non fried rolls I recommend the spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll, and the Warren roll. read more

Soo ummmmm .. amazing !! I still give credit where credit is due, although we were the only table in the restaurant. I've been here a few times and never walked away disappointed. Their sushi rolls are good and the atmosphere is very pleasant, none of that loud irritating music you hear blasting at other sushi houses. The staff is pleasant and courteous. The honey bubble tea has become a staple since I've first had it here, it is just that good. The Miso soup was not all that great..but it was filling. This place is adorable. The sushi chef was very welcoming and the waitress was nice and attentive. We ordered the shrimp shumai app and the spicy tuna and eel avocado rolls. Everything tasted great! Went one time the waitress had really long hair and it was down after she brought our sushi out what do I see on my plate a piece of hair that was blonde ! Customer service was friendly. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the Mango California Roll, or the Spider Roll. Both were really good. We also got a traditional Yellow tail roll and that was very fresh and delicious as well. I wish I would have taken a picture, because plating was very pretty, too. This place was very cozy. Went here with my fiancee on a quiet, snowy night and it was perfect. Not too many people around - but the waitress/owner was continuously trying to make us comfortable. The shrimp shumai was yummy, the sushi was good but the tea was a little too earthy. They gave us fresh fruit at the end which was really refreshing! This wasn't the cheapest nor the best sushi I've had in Michigan, but it definitely left me happy with the service alone. The owner even took a picture of us to put up on the wall! I have been to many sushi restaurants around the area and this is definitely one of the best! My partner and I were greeted with a friendly smile as we walked through the door and we were sat at a booth. The menu had some creative options that I hadn't seen before. We ordered a simple meal of avocado rolls, rice balls, and salmon nigiri as we weren't too hungry but still had a craving for some sushi. Everything seemed very fresh, I have had avocado rolls at other restaurants with browning avocado -- yuck! Not here though! Bright, green, ripe avocados! Despite our small meal we were still presented with miso soup before our meal and complimentary watermelon slices at the end of our meal which really surprised me! You won't get that at the "upscale" restaurants in Royal Oak. Everything tasted great and exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be returning. A+ hospitality and service. Extremely nice waitstaff -- I've been served by some very rude people in Ferndale/Royal Oak but the waitstaff here is extremely polite and is willing to answer any questions you have about the menu. My review is strictly on the sushi, have not tried the other menu items. With Japanese restaurants and especially ones that have sushi in their name , you expect good sushi rolls. Well that wasn't the case recently. Stopped in recently one evening and ordered avocado rolls and a Philadelphia roll. When the rolls were ready, they were warm to the touch. As soon as my chopstick touched the roll , it fell apart! Unbelievable. So j received warm sushi rolls and also fell apart. The portions were also very small for the price. Sushi is mostly rice... and my miso was warm at best. However, the flavors of the caterpillar roll were tasty, the ingredients were fresh and service was fast which is why I gave 3 stars. Most of the rolls on the menu are fried, or shrimp tempura, which hardly warrants tasty sushi. But I had to wait for about 10 minutes until I had to get up and get the waitress because she never walked by let alone asked if I needed anything. Then the correct food finally showed up and the waitress never came back. I got up to refill my own drink.... Told the owner and she apologized. Still had to get up and get my own drink refill because the waitress never came around. I then had to get up a third time to find the owner because I had to get my check. So what do you think yelp? Love these guys so much. After moving to the area from Romeo, I was on the hunt for a new sushi place closer to home. My parents found this place, and could not stop raving about it. My boyfriend and I are lovers of sushi, so we gave it a try. That was in July, and we have been coming weekly ever since. The decor is beautiful, cozy, and homey. The staff is absolutely incredible, warm, and so gracious. The food is always perfect, fresh, and filling. It's a lot cheaper than my old fav, and the quality is MUCH better. I'm mostly a connoisseur of the veggie rolls, but my boyfriend will be the first to tell you that their seafood rolls are the bomb. He loves the philly and chicago roll, while I'm a fan of the avocado, and chicken teriyaki rolls. We've also had the tempura cheesecake, which was absolute heaven! Service is fast, food is great, and prices are good. Can't get much better! read more

Sushi rolls are delicious. The udon noodles are fantastic. Agree with a few comments about not getting bang for your buck. We ordered the tempura appetizer and received 4 pieces of tempura shrimp, that's it. The picture in the menu shows shrimp and vegetables. The shrimp was tasty but wished to have some tempura vegetables along with the shrimp, like in the picture and it would been worth the price. Agree the service can be slow but if you like the food it's worth the wait. We joked about bringing a book. Service has since improved and seems like they have a few more servers other than just the one lady. Overall it's great to see a decent sushi place in Warren and close to home. read more

This place is some of the best sushi in the area around the Warren Tech Center. Every time I eat here it is always so fresh, fast, and friendly! The people there really appreciate your service and they know how busy their customers are. This is our go-to take out sushi option! Lots of yummy choices and the food always tastes delicious with decent prices. The staff are pleasant and service is quick.
