    Abishiri combo lunch special
    Tim M.

Been going here for some time now for takeout lunch. They offer a wonderful selection of combo/bento boxes for lunch at reasonable prices. My usual order is the Abishiri Combo, which comes with soup, a shrimp tempura roll, California roll, small salad with ginger dressing, and three wonton style dumplings. It's a lot for lunch and I can barely finish it usually. I personally prefer cooked sushi (not raw), which is why I prefer the Abishiri combo. The rolls are always perfectly made and delicious. The real star of the show for me, though, is the fried wontons. Served in a tasty, slightly spicy sauce, they are excellent. I'm also a fan of their ginger dressing, which is great with the small salad that comes in the box. I would recommend ordering ahead for takeout. I'll be back again regularly!

    Abashiri Combo Lunch Special

Sushi Cafe is a very consistent and delicious place for lunch. We like to order the Abashiri Combo. Full disclosure, that is the only dish I've tried there because it is so consistently good and has yet to disappoint. This combo includes 1 cup of piping hot miso ( it is still hot when I bring the carry out home), 1 shrimp tempura crunch roll, 1 California roll, 3 fried dumplings, and a basic salad with a ginger dressing. Though the entire combo is tasty, the crunch roll, dumplings and soup are particular standouts. The crunch roll includes the various sauces on top that impact flavor without being soggy and dumplings arrive warm with a tangy, slight sweet and yummy sauce at the bottom. On top of the great flavors, the staff are very welcoming when I arrive and the food is boxed and ready to go. I won't admit how often we order from there but we'd definitely miss them if they closed.

Shrimp and lobster roll and spicy shrimp roll

My husband I came here for date night after trying to go to a different sushi restaurant that was not doing dine in. We are so glad we found this place! The menu is huge, plenty of different rolls to choose from as well as appetizers and other entrees. We started with the dumplings which were amazing! They are a little spicy but we enjoyed them. I chose the lobster and shrimp roll and my husband had the the spicy tempera shrimp roll. Both were excellent! My husband also ordered Spicy ramen and I ordered Udon. The Udon was the best I've had in a long time. The restaurant was very clean and waitress was very attentive . We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Just found out about this small cafe in South Elgin. Great prices, excellent tasting rolls and gyoza. I got mine to go and appreciated that they were on time with my order! Ordered the spicy tuna and special crunch rolls.

Very let down with this place. I ordered thru doordash , it took almost an hour and 20 minutes to recieve my food. Also did not get chopsticks ,soy sauce, or wasabi. The fish tasted extremely fishy almost in a rotten way. I couldnt even eat what i ordered. I would not waste youre time on this place. There are better places for sushi in the area.

    Spicy tuna and super philidelphia

My wife and I must be spoiled from other sushi places near here because both the portions and the time it took to get our meals were really poor. We were there at around 6pm on a Saturday and they had one waitress one cook and one dish washer. That's it. There are other family / privately owned sushi places in the Fox River valley that are much better than this. We bought 4 rolls, 2 miso soups and 2 drinks and left there not feeling satisfied.

290 combo lunch special: Spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, and dumplings

Lunch special was great for only $10! The spicy tuna was actually spicy, Philly roll was so good, and the dumplings were really crispy! Came with a small salad and miso soup

    2. Volcano Roll it's very flavorful and tasty.

We started with the spring rolls, which were fresh, crisp, and served with a tasty dipping sauce .The drunken noodles were a standout--packed with flavor, slightly spicy, and perfectly balanced with veggies and noodles cooked freshly. Another highlight was the papaya salad. It was refreshing, and tangy. Honestly, it was one of the best papaya salads I've had in a while. The Panang curry with tofu was creamy and aromatic, a comforting dish that paired beautifully with steamed rice. The tofu soaked up the curry flavors nicely, making every bite delicious. I ordered a cold Thai tea, which was sweet, smooth, and refreshing--perfect alongside the spicier dishes. Overall, the food was flavorful, portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly prepared. It's definitely a spot worth visiting , with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options.

Absolutely one of our favorite places. This trip, ordered Spider and Rainbow Rolls, with my wife ordering Kung Pao Chicken Noodles. Our friends had the Mongolian Beef (one of favorites) and various other sushi rolls. Try the Pork Lo Mein which comes with shrimp or maybe a Sake flight. See you next time!

This isn't one of those AYCE menus where you get a handful of basic rolls and everything interesting costs extra. There's a huge array of appetizers, nigiri, basic and specialty rolls, plus dessert. I also REALLY appreciated the picture guide for the specialty rolls; with that many choices, actually seeing what you're ordering is incredibly helpful. We started with fried octopus balls, gyoza, fried scallops, and shumai before moving on to five rolls: Godzilla, Volcano, Rainbow, Super Crunchy, and Spider. Everything tasted fresh, was beautifully presented, and had enough variety in flavors and textures that nothing felt repetitive or like cheap AYCE filler. Naturally, we still found room for fried Oreos and ice cream for dessert. Because apparently four appetizers and five rolls weren't enough. Service was excellent; fast, friendly, and attentive, with food coming out at a great pace. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and inviting, with warm wood, colorful booths, Japanese parasols, and cherry-blossom accents. Fun and contemporary without feeling overly upscale. For $26 at lunch or $32 at dinner, Domo delivers a LOT for the money. Great sushi, tons of choices, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. Come hungry, use that picture guide to strategize, and don't sleep on the specialty rolls. Domo has absolutely earned a spot in our AYCE sushi rotation.
