Excellent food and service! Baked salmon roll, veggie tempura, baked scallop roll, and crispy lobster dynamite.

Enjoy coming here when I'm in Studio City. Quick, great staff, and just a fun, casual vibe. Food is great and I always leave full.

My TWICE a week lunch special spot! Lovely staff who appreciate my repeat business and love for their restaurant! I usually order the 3 item bento box (chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and spicy scallop hand roll). If you aren't a fan of rice, you can ask for DOUBLE salad and the dressing is divine! Usually runs around $23 for 3 items and $20 for 2!

This is one of my sons favorite sushi places and so is mine too. The sushi and sashimi is always fresh their quality is amazing. Even though is far away from me l don't mind driving 40 minutes to get there and enjoy my favorite sushi spot. Their service is also amazing and the place is clean.

Everything was delicious! Great quality fish, fresh, and good flavors. Service was also quick.

Cute little sushi joint in the little strip mall off Ventura Boulevard. I was meeting some friends at residuals Tavern after and this was a great pitstop to get some fresh sushi. Cute neon lights and decor. Service was excellent. Very friendly and speedy. I had a seaweed salad and a nice hot sake. Then I got the spicy tuna cut roll with easy rice and it was perfect. Very fresh tasting sushi. I forgot to get pictures before I gobbled down half of it. Lol. Happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7. A lot of items on that happy hour menu with really good prices. Will be back!

Sushi Dan is one of my go-to places for sushi when I'm near work. Their fish is always fresh and they have excellent lunch specials. I love getting an assortment of fresh nigiri rolls (their salmon is exceptional) and the Bon Bon roll as a treat. The Hot Night 2 is also tasty. My friend ordered the sashimi and tuna tartare. She loved both. The staff is extremely friendly and speedy. They're very knowledgeable about the dishes and helpful with recommendations. It's also really cute inside! It'd be a great place for date night.

We are not local and we're inly near studio city for one night to be closer to the airport for our flight home. We found this little local spot and we were not sure what to expect. It was delicious and the fish quality was similar to spots we visited in West Hollywood for half the price. The service was great and the portions were generous - much larger pieces of good quality fish!

Bento lunch box! So much food and everything was great! Rice, salad, soup, 3 piece sashimi, 3 piece sushi and roll!? Best albacore sushi I have ever had, may even beat the yellowtail!

First of all, parking lot is very small. Fortunately, someone was leaving as we pulled in so we were lucky enough to grab that spot. We went during happy hour. Everything we got was pretty good. It came out quickly and it was fresh. The have a couple of TVs so we were able to catch the Dodger game. I didn't catch the server's name but he was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a couple of picky eaters at our table and he was nice enough to recommend a few things That turned out to be amazing! The inside is very cute. They have a couple of neon signs for photo ops and some really cute light up cherry blossom trees. I definitely enjoyed the vibe here. I noticed they had some macaroon ice cream sandwiches in the front that I was curious to try. Will definitely come back and try them

We walked in at 6:40pm and got a nice welcome from Mediko. Without having a reservation, she sat us down immediately. Our server Meika approached us right away to take our order. We started off with a standard size of Garlic Edamame ($6.80), and then ordered few other cut rolls. Spicy Tuna Cut Roll--for 10 pieces ($14.80), Albacore Fried Onion Roll-- count of 12 for ($20.80), Zero Roll-- count of 12 for ($25.00), Rainbow Roll-- count of 12 for ($10.80). Everything was so LIGHT, FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! They also have hand rolls, and other types of cut rolls. They have street and metered parking. Before I forget, we ordered Crispy Rice Tuna that came in (2) pieces for (13.50). The minute I saw that, it made me laugh. Called our server and told her to take that back and remove it from the bill which she gladly did. I thought it was going to be an actual full course rolls. They also have dessert but we didn't order anything. Restaurant was very quaint, limited decor, very busy for Monday mid evening, and was very nice and clean. Total came out to be $95.70 including tax minus the tip. I'm sure they also have a bathroom, but we didn't end up using it. I will return, but not any time soon. They also don't have any Bento Box type of food. Very authentic place to go on a date, friends, family or even dine solo. They also have a Sushi Bar. Alcohol wise, only have beer, wine and sake along with 2 fridges full of cold drinks.. Thank you all very much!!

If you like belly cuts, this place is a must. The salmon belly, yellowtail belly, albacore belly, and tuna belly were all fresh and delicious. The hand rolls tasted authentic, and the specialty rolls were even better. Their house-made sauces add flavor without masking the fish, which is exactly how it should be. The crispy rice with spicy tuna and avocado was another standout and definitely worth ordering. Great sushi, great service, and quality fish throughout. I'm definitely visiting when in area.

I had the miso soup, crispy rice with spicy tuna, hamachi crudo, and unagi, and every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the fish really stands out. The restaurant itself is small but beautiful. The ambiance is modern, sleek, and elegant while still feeling warm and welcoming. The staff was also incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. It has an intimate feel that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. I also loved reading Tetsuya's story in the menu. Learning about the family's history and dedication to their craft made me appreciate the experience even more. I've dined at Yume in Calabasas, and in my opinion, Tetsuya is the winner. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were all outstanding. I'll definitely be back. One of the best sushi experiences I've had in a long time.

I arrived ahead of everyone to secure a table, and even on a weekday the wait is 30 minutes - I guess no matter what day and time you come, there is always a wait. Since it was my first time here, my daughter took the lead and ordered the Trust Me for me. And trust me, it lives up to the name. The fish was fresh, flavors were very good, and I was so full I even handed off my last roll to my daughter. The only downside - inside is loud, you can't have a nice conversation, and I just wish the tables were spaced out more for comfort. So selfish of me to wish huh. It was a good dinner experience. It's been hit and miss with the take out for the past year, sometimes 5***** sometimes waste of the $$$$$. But last night we couldn't even finish our sushi!!! This has never happened. The sashimi looked like it was the remnants of the sushi and rolls and had scales in it! YUCK!The cut rolls were tasteless and almost had a fishy smell, not a good thing. The actual sushi pieces were put together sloppily and just didn't taste 'right'. We kind of started feeling a little sick, all three of us, before even saying anything to each other and then all stopped eating since we all had the same experience. I know Nozawa would never put up with this mediocrity and I don't know if I will ever do take out again from SugarFish. If you're someone who enjoys traditional, high-quality nigiri and sashimi, this probably won't be your go-to spot. Shiki is all about comfort sushi: big rolls loaded with imitation crab, creamy sauces, baked toppings, and bold flavors. It's rich, indulgent, and definitely on the heavier side. That said, when you're absolutely starving and just want something satisfying that hits the spot, Shiki delivers. The menu is huge with endless options, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Every time I've come here I've ended up ordering specialty rolls instead of actual sushi because that's really what this restaurant excels at. I also have to admit... baked rolls are one of my guilty pleasures. A lot of higher-end sushi restaurants don't even serve them because they're more of a comfort dish than traditional sushi, so Shiki scratches that itch perfectly. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and quick, which always makes the experience better. Will I be back? Probably not anytime soon, simply because I usually crave a more traditional sushi experience. But compared to other restaurants in this style and price range, Shiki does an excellent job. If you're looking for filling, flavorful specialty rolls with great value, this is an easy 5-star spot.
