It's a small sushi spot located in North Hollywood by the Target. It's a great concept; they put a tablet on your table that you can order your food on. The entire menu is on the screen, and you order, and they bring it to you. You also order your drinks and can call your waiter from the tablet. I ordered the teriyaki chicken; the bowl was huge, and it cost about 14 dollars. I thought the portion was great, and I got free miso soup to go along with it, so it was a lot of food. However, I did not think the food was too great. For such a big bowl they put very little sauce, and to top it off, the chicken is dry, so I needed to add a lot of soy sauce and extra teriyaki sauce, which I had to request in order to be able to eat it. I've had better teriyaki chicken from Yoshinoya, unfortunately. The service was great; I got serviced quickly after calling for a server on the tablet, but I also felt she was annoyed on my visit because she looked irritated, and it made me feel slightly unwelcome. I say I would love to return to try the sushi, as they have all you can eat sushi for 30 at lunchtime, but I may take some time to actually try it out after this experience. read more

Hello just came back from what we thought it was our favorite sushi, we ordered all you can eat as usual, sushi, fried veggies and to our surprise the gyoza which lays on a lettuce bed, It HAD BUGS on it, I had eaten the lettuce from a previous order but I didnt notice at the time it had white BUGS CRAWLING on both servings, it was disgusting, they should be more careful, I mentioned it to the waitress and she threw It away, we took some pics before, she apologized and offer to bring more to what I definitely was not going to eat it, they were a little rude when I asked them for a discount and at the end they refuse to give me any, i just paid even the tip that they include But Im not going back ever again just be careful and check your food because apparently THEY DON'T read more

Dinner AYCE is $35 and if you're willing to compromise a TAD on quality (which makes sense at the price point), then this is your place. I've never been here but my friend had been here multiple times. I'm not big on raw so I stick to my CA rolls. Honestly, it was great and the rolls were large. Everyone else's food looked amazing and they said it tasted good as well. I also got a baked salmon roll, decided to venture out. I did ask for it to be "well done" baked haha. Cravings satisfied! I've been to a lot of AYCE sushi joints and this spot is pretty okay. Dinner price for AYCE was $35 and I would say it was worth it if you're into quantity over quality. The fish quality is okay, but not the best. However, I could appreciate that there was nothing that tasted "fishy." The sizes of the nigiri's were a shocker to me. Each piece was like 2 pieces put together, so watch out for over ordering! The rolls are FILLED, which is nice, but sometimes too much at one bite takes away the quality. Tempura udon - probably the best item on the menu. They're really generous with the portioning, given the AYCE serving. Broth was flavorful and the tempura is probably one of the best I've tried. Chicken karaage - there was no chicken. Just unseasoned breading. Calamari - looks totally different from what's advertised. Definitely not authentic, tastes like the ones that were frozen and re-fried. Garlic edamame - you can't mess this up. Always a go-to starter! Baked mussels - yes yes yes! Such good ratio with the mayo and has a great balanced taste instead of being too creamy. Yellowtail nigiri - the best nigiri this spot offers. Honestly, the quality was pretty good and the taste was very fresh and clean. Salmon nigiri - the taste was good, but the texture was rubbery? It was weird. Seared Cajun salmon nigiri - too salty! The Cajun seasoning took away from the fish. Seared Cajun tuna nigiri - same thing, seasoning took away from the fish and the quality was rubbery. Seared garlic salmon - over seasoned yet again. Yellowtail & yellowtail roll - yes! Such umami and I just love the quality of their yellowtail. Scallop - really good and would recommend, coming from someone who is very picky with their scallops. Overall, it was good to satisfy a craving for sushi. The ambiance is a small sushi joint and very traditional with limited seating. We started with the garlic edamame and it was really tasty. My husband loved the baked green muscles and I enjoyed the tempura roll, but a little heavy for husband.. The mixed tempura was ok, could use another shrimp and maybe a green bean. The poke nachos were good and plentiful. Maybe a little more spice would be nice. I am eating this at two stars because we my uncle and zI really enjoyed the food on our previous visit. However, last night was quite disappointing. We sat down and my 78 year old uncle noticed the new procedure of ordering via tablet. He was struggling with it so I asked the waiter for a menu to order from. He coldly told me that we had to use the tablet. I could have taken my uncle's order on the tablet, but he's an independent adult not a child. I'm surprised how good the quality of sushi is at this restaurant. It's actually better than Hikari in Chatsworth. They do also charge you for the tip upfront. They only charge 15% for gratuity which is fair and sad at the same time. I'm guessing that their customers are so cheap they usually don't pay tip. I questioned the freshness as all the nigiri were drenched in something. If it is truly fresh and edible, it should not have anything other than a dab of Wasabi underneath the piece of fish. The waiters aren't even alert to what's happening and the place isn't even full. My cup of water was empty during the whole lunch service. I lifted my hand and somehow the waiter had no awareness of her surroundings. She never noticed me asking for more water. We asked her for a fork multiple times and never brought it. The sushi was so soggy. It's not the same, and the AYCE is charged a 15% gratitude fee no matter the amount of people. I believe this isn't fair because for 1. I am someone who loves to give tips if deserved and this lady did not deserve anything- the whole 15% gratitude is forsure making me go else where. What a nice little gem of a sushi restaurant that shares the NOHO Target parking lot! It was beautiful inside and we were seated right away. We didn't even have to ask for water! We ordered the sashimi carpaccio with tuna and seared garlic salmon. Unfortunately I had to pick off the jalapeño slices on the salmon. But it was good and plated beautifully on shoestring jicama(I think or maybe it was daikon) with lemon slices. We also got the Hawaiian roll which was good but each slice/bite was too big! I should have asked for a knife. The last was an Avocado Unagi bowl. It came with one bowl of miso soup but our server offered us a second one free! So nice! I've gone several times now and I'm never disappointed :) Dog situation: Nothing ruins good vibes quite like a disruptive fake service animal. A patron came in with a yappy dog that was clearly not a service animal and was asked not to bring the dog in. I truly appreciate the restaurant standing up for hygienic rules.
