I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this wonderful place before. My wife and I have been going here for years and have always had tasty meals, well prepared with outstanding service. They are thoughtful, have a very clean establishment and are a pleasure to return to. My wife loves them so much that she will ask me to stop by and get us dinner (she still works, I am retired).

So I was initially sad to see that they no longer had salmon katsu on the menu since they came under new ownership but I asked our server if it was still possible to order and she said yes so I was elated! A little bummed they no longer make the tartar sauce for it but everything was just a delicious as I remember and the service is always top notch here. I also love that you can watch the chefs making your rolls and sashimi. I also love that the restaurant is large enough to accommodate larger parties for special occasions.

This is still our favorite Japanese restaurant in town. There are many options but the service and the flavor profile of their sauces, dressing, and roll combination are our favorite. We love their salad dressing. Our favorite rolls are the dragon and spicy tuna roll but next time we are trying their lobster roll as it look spectacular. Always busy yet service is efficient, friendly, and they are always willing to accommodate special requests.

Service was amazing!! I gave them a thumbs up on FB and they brought our table a free side of steamed edamame! Their small house salad was filling! They also offer complimentary miso soup before your meal.

$18 for Sakè? $25 for oysters? $15 for waygu??? Used to be $12 for sakè, 12$ oysters, 12$ waygu

Trash.$18 for Sakè? $25 for oysters? $15 for waygu??? Been coming here to Sit down and eat since they opened and now unfortunately, I don't think l'l be ever coming back to sit down ever again. My total before tip used to be back ever again. My total before tip used to be $50-75 and today I was so surprised when it was over $100 smh. lt's not worth over $100, your better off enjoying the freshness of Sukiyaki with Nick or Okawa with Sebastian. My sashimi was warm and the girls forgot my salad. They secretly upcharged me. I should have never came back after I spotted and killed a cockaroach with my own hands at the sushi bar less than 3 weeks after the original owners retired. Now Sushi Garden is a dump spot owned by the owners who own all the other Japanese dump spots in town!! Such a disgrace this is. To top it off Fred wasn't here today so I should have known better. Sad Sad Sad this was my go to but no more. I urge everyone to take your hard earned money and precious time else where because Sushi Garden has gone down the drain.

It's been literally 4 years since I've been to Umi (check my last review). With so many Japanese…read morerestaurants around, there are plenty to choose from. Decided to go back here since many of my staff love Umi Sushi. As for myself, my last bad experience (during COVID) I was content to not come back. But I'm always about giving places a second chance and decided to come here for lunch since I was treating for lunch. So first thing I learned was their 50% off sushi from Monday to Thursday during lunch hours. It definitely seems a big attraction since when we got here at noon, there was a lot of people eating. Menu of sushi can be overwhelming with 3 pages of sushi with photos. It was hard to know what to get just because it can take awhile to read the description for each sushi. So started first with spicy garlic edamame- 5 stars Basically edamame with a sriracha mayo sauce with sesame oil. Can be messy if you use your fingers. As for me, I usually use the chopsticks to grab the edamame and eat it there. It's pretty good. Nice kick. Would get it again I couldn't decide so went safe and got the super California roll which basically has unagi on top of the Cali roll center. Rice was soft but held the sushi well and overall, was satisfactory. Super Cali- 5 stars Tried the titanic roll- similar to the super Cali but was deep fried rolls so came later than all the others and was temperature hot. 4 stars The other rolls were Jayjay roll- had cream cheese so not something I would order The Miss Kim roll looked good and again similar to Mine but was topped with tuna. Overall, had a good meal. Staff was okay. They didn't check on us for refills and only came to give our check while some people are still eating Service - 3.5 stars Anyways, felt like an updated review was in order and have lifted my ban on eating at a place I said I wouldn't come back.

So,a Sushi Pig Out was in order ! We started w/ Baked Mussels. Very good a bit of a different take on how I've usually had them . A bit more sweet and savory. We all Liked them! Ordered Hamachi/ Sashimi. Perfect slices, Not too thin or thick - like butter :) We were able to order off the 1/2 price menu ( Monday- Thursday) - score We ordered the Blue Ocean Roll - $8.85 It was good a bit too mild for our tastes. The J&H Roll - $8.95 Really Great - We Really Enjoyed this one . We had the Deluxe Spicy Tuna Roll -$13.95 So, Good ! Just the right Spice ! Our Son ordered the Orange Blossom Roll - $13.95 And the Orange Head Roll-$10.95 Which he really enjoyed. I liked the Ambiance of the restaurant- just a bit dim - for a relaxed vibe . Good Sushi and Service!

Osaka literally never misses…read more My friends and I ordered literally SO much food from Osaka for pickup and every single item was delicious. We got the Crab Puffs, 49er Roll, a few Ichi Ban Maki Rolls, a few Crunchy Munchy Rolls, a Lion King Roll, a Philadelphia Roll, Miso Soup, and some more but you get the point. The food was ready quite promptly for pickup despite the extremely large order and it being a packed Saturday afternoon. Everything was perfect. The food that was hot stayed hot, the chilled dishes stayed cold. Every single thing tasted great. I was especially impressed with the Crab Puffs. They were completely stuffed with the filling (which I definitely can't say the same about from other restaurants)! They provided a ton of chop sticks and soy sauce packets which is much appreciated. This is my favorite casual sushi place in the valley!

Jumped in hungry and rolled out happy!…read more This spot is definitely a returner on my list. We were greeted within seconds of walking in and seated right away. The restaurant was busy but the staff were still engaging with everyone. We sat down in a corner booth and were immediately welcomed with requests for drink orders. The place was well lit and decorated with a warm and welcoming feel! We ordered four rolls and chicken katsu. Each roll was better than the next! We couldn't decide which one was our favorite so we scarfed them all down as fast as we could to indulge in the amazing flavors! I would say I leaned most towards the Crunchy Munchy roll! This place really "rolled" its place into our hearts!

Along with my go-to…read morerolls, the shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna hand roll, the Kimoto Roll is absolutely fire and a must-try. My favorite dish overall, though, is the sriracha honey chicken. It's insanely good every single time. The owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Truly a standout local gem!

Kimoto has become our go to Japanese restaurant ever since my previous fav Japanese place owners…read morehad retired. We came around 8:44 pm on a Friday night and they still accepted us to dine in but had to sit at the sushi bar which was fine. I had the chicken teriyaki dinner plate and upgraded to the vegetable tempura at an extra charge with steam rice (though you can get fried rice. My wife got the chicken katsu dinner and vegetable tempura also. Dinner plate comes with salad and miso dressing- which is a bit like thousand island in color and taste. As well as miso soup. Reason this is my go to Japanese restaurant is I like how their chicken teriyaki is cooked. It's basically char grilled , dark meat which gives it the best flavor. And the teriyaki sauce is a bit thicker and stays on the meat compared to another Japanese place I've reviewed that I didn't like their watery sauce. Service was great. They didn't rush us to finish our food and our waiter informed us about the kitchen closing in 10 mins and asked if we wanted anything else. So that was nice. Overall, definitely recommend this place if you like to order chicken teriyaki. My wife's katsu looked good and she enjoyed what she ordered.
