My biggest complaint about this restaurant is the fact that I was charged four dollars for a cup of hot water. I ordered regular water as my drink and I also ordered a cup of hot water with lemon because I had a scratchy throat. There was a four dollar charge on my bill for the hot water. I don't understand, why cold water is free but hot water has a charge. The sushi rolls were nothing special. The lobster roll had toppings on it that were not listed on the menu, so I paid $25 for a roll that I did not eat. However, I did enjoy the brisket fried rice. It was delicious. Small restaurant and no way to make a reservation online. I tried calling but I couldn't speak to an actual person. Normally, I would give less than three stars based on my experience and wasting almost $30 (hot water and inaccurate menu description for sushi) but the rice was really good!

I've ate here a lot and the soups are the best. Egg rolls are good also. Always have great service here.

Place was packed waited 30 mins for a seat (not bad) just did some gambling while I waited. Ordered spicy salmon hand roll and Miso Ramen. Hand roll was really good the miso ramen was really strong taste of ginger (not a fan of ginger) not sure why. I would definitely try somewhere else before I went back.

Very good. I'm not a sushi eater but 2 others I was with enjoyed the sushi. Service was great. Not a huge menu but always noticed a full house every time we passed by. Sweet & sour shrimp was delicious had a great flavor and Mongolian beef was flavorful and great as well. Another companion loved the ramen.

Tried them for happy hour, it was good, not great. For a sushi restaurant there isn't really any sushi on the menu, all rolls and lots of rice. The edamame was delicious, garlic and a mixed seasoning salt were really good. The menu just seems week for a 'sushi' restaurant.

This place is right across from The Grand ballroom in Golden Nugget, which is downtown. It's a nice restaurant, and you can people watch from the dinner bar, but the food is just good (not great), which doesn't justify the price. Excellent service, but still not really worth it. Then again, it might depend what you order. After all, the word 'Sushi' is the name and I ordered chicken teriyaki.

This place is located at the Golden Nugget. We decided to get a snack while waiting for the rest of the ohana. We were seated immediately BUT we WAITED FOREVERS for 3 sushi rolls, yes I said 3. Our wait time was over 45mins and it wasnt until we asked a worker passing our table if our sushi rolls were done. Our waiter comes back to our table to say it will be out shortly, that was another 15mins. I honestly dont think it was even started until we asked. I seen 3 tables that walked in way after us and order food get there food before our sushi's came out :( . The sushi's were good, but WAAAYYY over priced l, but I guess because its in a casino that shouldve been expected. The waiter was nice n all but I was just disappointed in the wait n the price we paid for 3 sushi rolls n $8 for a miso soup...

Very eye-appealing and small sushi bar in the Golden Nugget. We were seated very quickly, but ordering took a little longer. I was with family members and we had some rolls. Selection was average and tasted good, but was a little pricey. Red Sushi came at a good time since we were looking for somewhere to eat and did not want to stand in buffet lines. Probably would go again and try some of the other items on menu. Not bad.

Setting was casual and comfortable. Just walked up and got seated. Great for people watching in the casino. Was hoping for "happy hour" specials but there were no offerings. The lobster roll was extremely delicious Service was "on point". Definitely would recommend as a downtown alternative to "$8.99" prime rib.

Firecracker roll. Oven baked. Not really spicy.

I really wanted to like Red Sushi, because it's only 0.5 miles from my condo. Sadly what I found was a sushi restaurant in Fremont that charges Strip prices. $14 for a California roll? C'mon. They also only have 24 rolls to choose from, pretty anemic compared to most sushi places. With that said, the sushi was good and the rolls were large. We had the Godzilla Roll and the Firecracker roll. The Firecracker Roll is heated in an oven but not spicy, so perhaps that's where it gets its name. We also had the fried rice, which was probably the best part of the meal. Bottom line, the food is good but the prices and selection are both not ideal for me.

The best Ayce sushi place in Vegas!…read more If you're tired of the boring buffets on the strip, I highly recommend to visitors to check out this restaurant off the strip in Chinatown. Food (4.5/5) I strongly recommend to order the nigiri and stay away from the rolls if you want to get your moneys worth. The nigiri selection is pretty huge with multiple unique cuts of fish that other Ayce sushi places usually don't include (surf clam, ono, yellowtail toro, uni). Although some of the premium items you're only allowed to order once, it was pretty satisfying to be able to even try it as most ayce sushi places don't even include these items. The nigiri is on the smaller side (maybe 1/2 the size of regular size nigiri) but I appreciate how they didn't include a ton of sushi rice with each piece. It seemed like this restaurant wanted you to get your moneys worth and not have you fill up on rice! Highlight items are definitely everything on the special nigiri order menu selection, eel nigiri, and seared salmon. The regular tuna nigiri was just alright and my group did not like the ikura as it was a little off tasting. They also include free ice cream at the end and the affogado was pretty good! Service (4.75/5) The service was pretty good for such a small and packed place. We went right at opening and it was completely full with a long wait outside on a Sunday afternoon. The best part of this place is that there is NO item ordering restriction so essentially you could order 100+ nigiri for a single round of ordering. Most ayce sushi places I've eaten at have very shady rules that try to screw you over so you can't order a lot, but this place took the opposite approach so I can see why it's always busy! The staff was very quick at bringing out the food and having you order again. There is a 90 minute time limit to eat so start ordering right away. Ambience (4.5/5) This restaurant is located in a strip mall plaza in Chinatown and the parking was limited, but once inside this restaurant was pretty cute with the decorations. It felt clean and had a nice cool A/C going inside. Value (5/5) 20$ lunch until 4pm on Monday-Thursday and 35$ all other times. The best value AYCE I've had and better than anything I've paid for in California. Overall (4.68/5) I would definitely return to Vegas just to eat here again and I thought the food quality was better than any Bacchanal or Wynn Buffet on the strip.

I can eat that much, but did a pretty good job selecting from the nigiri side of the menu while hubby packed down a lot of rolls. Every item was ultra-fresh. Hot when hot and cold when cold. I would order something and just a minute or two it would come out. This was even with an 80% full restaurant. Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. We placed one order and waited about half an hour until they came back. I think our server went on a break after taking our order but no one else checked on us until we flagged someone down which shouldn't happen if you're doing Ayce. The restaurant wasn't even busy and there was no wait at all and so many empty tables. We even had to leave cash after placing a second order because no one came by after we finished to run our card. They seem to pay more attention to certain tables than others. Would've liked to come back more often but sadly the service for Ayce is not worth it.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto.
