Went back yesterday to try their dishes under the new mangement/ownership. Ordered 49ers roll, hurricane roll and hawaii ohana. Fish is not fresh here at least the non salmon items were. Wasn't expecting much and I was right. There is definitely a huge selection of rolls and appetizers which is nice, but I'm not really about the rolls. We did have the double hamachi and double salmon roll only because if you check in through YELP, you get a 50% discount off your 2nd roll. I like this place. I've been here a few times and the service is always great, the prices are right and everything (tables, floors, plates, etc.) is clean. The food is about average for the area. The fish wasn't great but it wasn't bad either, and they aren't stingy with it on their rolls. The rice was a tiny bit harder and colder than I would've preferred. I would recommend this place if you're not looking for great sushi but want an overall good experience. There are plenty of very responsive waitresses who will check up on your table every few minutes refilling your drinks and seeing what else they can get for you. The person I assumed to be the manager was extremely nice. I purchased their gift cards from Costco because I want to support local restaurants. I didn't get around to using it till recently. I went to the restaurant with my family and when I presented the card they said they don't honor it because of something regarding the "machine not working". That sounded suspicious to me so I asked to talk to the manager but conveniently the manager was not available. The waitress said the manager is not honoring gift cards from their restaurant despite selling them probably by the hundreds from Costco. The food was okay and the waitress was nice but this whole idea of not honoring a gift card is fraudulent to say the least. I ordered a dragon roll and titanic and just received inside just cucumbers pretty much which clearly doesn't say it has and them not putting anything else. This is the titanic it's suppose to have shrimp inside which is (Titanic roll)has stated Shrimp Tempura wrapped w/Salmon & Tuna topped w/ Spicy imitation Crab Meat, Avocado & Green Onion w/ Tobiko The roll only ends of the tail shrimp inside. I should have went back for my money because I clearly didn't get what I paid for with both rolls. I say this is the worst sushi because I've never had a restaurant use cucumbers only on rolls to cheap you and not adding the shrimp or what's meant to be. It was our first time here, loved everything. The food is five star and so does the ambience and service. We had chicken katsu, salmon teriyaki. Both were so delicious. The serving size is huge for chicken teriyaki and it's so flavorful. It comes with side of rice, salad, and miso soup. The place is clean and servers are very nice. Let me start out with the lion king first of all they used a shitload of creme that when you bite into the roll it was disgusting not even a piece of salmon just a little ass piece.
