Came here and got their beef teriyaki bento lunch special and it was surprisingly good. Usually the beef is super dry and chewy but this didn't taste like overcooked, over marinated meat. I want to come back and try their sushi next time. read more

Where do I even start?! This place is a hidden treasure! The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and honestly, they make you feel like family. There's one waitress who's practically a stand-up comedian she has my husband and me laughing every time, all while keeping it classy and professional (seriously, someone give her a mic!). Now the food fresh, delicious, and made with love. No, it's not a giant, five-star restaurant... but honestly, I'd choose this cozy spot any day over those "fancy" places that charge a fortune and serve you a meal the size of a toddler's snack. Great sushi. Worth the jaunt from Whittier. We started with the yellowtail ribs. Followed by two of their buy one get one half off selected menu rolls that are offered all day every day. We had the Batman roll and the tiger roll. What a deal for great sushi. Great vibes, staff was awesome and fun music. I even had a margarita. Bonus!! read more

This place is a hidden gem!!! The food is bomb. They have lunch and dinner hours. As well as lunch and dinner specials. We came for dinner, right at 5pm when they opened back up. There were 2 other people waiting too. The service was quick and efficient. As time went by, more and more people came. It was consistently busy. The good was sooooo good! We will definitely come back. Especially with the buy 1, get the 2nd roll half off special. We ordered these 4 rolls: Hangover, Still the one, Tiger and Atlantic. All delish but the Hangover and Still the one were our favs. We also ordered gyozas and the seaweed salad. The restroom was very clean and stocked and the decor is upbeat and nice. If I could suggest something, I'd suggest that no looks to hurry up and get out be made. The lady either kept staring at us to basically get out but there were still open tables. It's more of the sanitary ethics on this review. I just can't get around people rubbing their nose and possibly not washing their hands. I did not get sick. The sushi is decent, I feel like getting the scallop hand roll, was pretty tender. I think the the roll that I bought had a sweet sauce and sesame seeds were my favorite. I got there an hour before their first closing at 3 PM. It wasn't too busy. There were only 2 other parties and me in the restaurant. Food 7.1/10 read more

Tables were Wobbly, the whole time during our family dinner , it was quite annoying . Asked for another table but they didn't have anything at that time. Found this place on IG and was drawn to it for its buy 1 get one 50% off. There is a separate menu for the BOGO offer, which did look good with your typical rolls, but we wanted something with less rice and so we chose from the regular menu. We got the Fresh Fresh Fresh roll and it did not disappoint. We also got the Happy Crabby appetizer and that was delicious. Ended up ordering a second one. Our server was very attentive and helpful and our order came out quickly. The ambiance inside is nice and inviting. A couple of TVs around and music playing in the background. I've been a frequent patron of this establishment for the past 3 years, and it's about time I make a review for this special place. Long story short-- the more you eat here, the less you want to eat sushi anywhere else. This place has consistent and high quality flavor, presentation, and service. In fact, I would actually be confident to say that it's my favorite sushi place! First of all, the menu is extensive and creative. On top of all of the rolls and specialty rolls, they have a No Rice menu which is convenient if you're trying to watch your carbs. On last night's visit we decided to order for take out and the presentation was evident even after being transported. We ordered the Geisha Roll, Norwalk Roll, Super Mario Bros (no rice special), and one order of yellowtail sushi. Just as expected, the quality of food was fresh and tasty. The geisha roll was flashy inside and out (on the spicy side) but with balanced flavor. I can say the same for the Super Mario bros as well. The avocado and baked scallops really brought the flavors together nicely. As for the Norwalk roll, the elements are simple, but the delivery of taste and texture is very satisfying. I order this every time I come, along with the yellowtail. So fresh. :) Overall, it's a cute, consistent, quality establishment with attentive staff. Though it's a bit small, they have their own parking lot, and if it's full there is street parking. They also have a weekday special from 5-7pm where prices for some menu items are reduced. That being said, I definitely recommend stopping in for a bite! read more

Second time at this place and it was just as good as the first time. I stumbled across this place a few weeks ago when I was driving by and I am so glad I did. You can literally not go wrong with anything you get because it is all delicious. My favorite is the crispy rice with crab salad. I also love that you can get a Thai iced tea as a drink. Talk about the perfect pairing for me . As for the vibe of the place it is a perfect place to go for a date night or dinner with the family. We arrived at the Sushi Joint today around 2:30 p.m. and found the doors locked. Luckily, the customers inside were kind enough to open the door for us, and we were warmly greeted by one of the waitresses. She kindly let us know they close at 3 pm, but she graciously made an exception to let us in at the last minute. We decided to try the Batman, Sexy Lady, Hungover Roll, and the Rolled-up Shrimp appetizer. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the Sexy Lady and the Batman Roll. Our total came to $52, plus a $10 tip I gave. The staff were wonderfully polite and friendly, even though they were closing soon to enjoy their lunch before opening again at 5pm, we never felt rushed or unwelcome. If you're nearby and craving some sushi, I definitely recommend stopping by this place! read more

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share our amazing experience at that new sushi place we found! We recently moved to town and were on the hunt for a great sushi spot, and wow, did we hit the jackpot. The sushi was incredible - seriously, some of the best we've ever had! From the super friendly host to our awesome server, and a massive thank you to the chef - the food was so good, we were totally in a food coma when we got home! We literally crashed the moment we walked in the door. Oh, and a huge shout-out to one of the waiters - you saved the day by cleaning my daughter's pacifier after she dropped it! Not a huge deal, but we were definitely hungry! We got the spicy tuna roll, a salmon nigiri, and the crunchy dragon roll. The fish was fresh, and the rolls were really tasty totally worth the wait. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was my favorite! After we finished eating, it took forever to get the check. We had to flag someone down, which was a little frustrating.
