Wow this place is so good. I came here for the first time last night. After seeing this place on TikTok, I've been having this on my list for a while. So glad I finally decided to make the drive. We ordered the Garlic Edamame, Crispy Rice with tuna, Zamba Roll, Batman Roll and Sexy Lady. My boyfriend favorite roll was the Sexy Lady and mine was the Batman roll. They were honestly all delicious. The service was so fast. We were shocked with how fast the food was ready. Parking is pretty easy since they have their own lot. Service was so good upon arrival and up until we left. We tried various sushi rolls and they were all a 10/10. My sisters also tried the spicy tuna and the chicken bowl and also thought it was very good! The best part was Sushi was buy one get one half off. We were craving sushi but didn't feel up to all you can eat and we got lucky with this place. We were seated quickly and the staff attended to us right away. They have a great all day everyday special of buy one get one 50% off on a list of select rolls. We got a combination plate with veggie tempura and a crunchy roll. We also got a Batman roll and an Atlantic roll along with tempura shishitos. The food came out quick and was nicely presented. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We really liked the tempura shishitos highly recommend them. The space itself was not super big but spacious enough to walk through and be seated. We appreciate the staff coming back to us to make sure we had everything we needed. I was looking for a sushi restaurant with a good assortment of vegetarian options and found Sushi Joint. There is a small parking lot, so if the lot is full, some street parking is available. They don't take reservations so we waited about 15 minutes, but I would say it was worth it. The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night and the staff were quick. I was really impressed with the vegetarian rolls - I tried the yellow submarine and Tarzan rolls. I would definitely come back to try the other vegetarian rolls. read more

This was My first visit to Sushi Joint. I was helping celebrate My Friend's birthday & sushi is typically out of My price range, but in a Complete Reversal it was Me that got treated to dinner! And all the lovely Folks at Sushi Joint did NOT disappoint. It was fairly busy - I rarely go out of My house, and especially not on the weekend loll - but not irritatingly so. I always enjoy seeing clientele of different ages - very young Kids all the way up to Me & My Friend (we were celebrating his 73rd birthday). I was disappointed. This was the number two recommend local sushi place in Cerritos/Norwalk. That amazes me more than a little bit. 90s R&B blaring to the point you couldn't have a conversation, pricey - not crazy but pricey. A 15% tax just for sitting down - seriously look at my pics. The miso was scalding hot, so much so that I had six pieces of nigiri and an entire roll and it was still not cool enough to eat. No jasmine tea but they did have green tea. However, the mug was dirty and the tea tasted a little like they left the hot water way too long in the kettle as it had, that distinct, metallic taste to it. On the upside, the bathrooms are clean. The staff was nice and attentive, but there is no way that this is the number two or even the number 12 place I would recommend in the area. I'm off for supporting small mom and Pop, but I think I'm going to find a different mom and pop. read more

My wife convinced me to try this again one last time for lunch and their quality has gone back up. Plus they have a bogo 50 percent for certain rolls. Came here and got their beef teriyaki bento lunch special and it was surprisingly good. Usually the beef is super dry and chewy but this didn't taste like overcooked, over marinated meat. I want to come back and try their sushi next time. read more

I've tried the Fullerton location years ago so I knew how good Sushi Joint was prior to visiting the Norwalk location. The interior is bigger than it looks from the outside. It was fairly packed and busy but our host seated us quickly and was served with no hesitation. The service and food were both exceptional. The appetizers and rolls were visually appealing as they were delicious. I would with no doubt call Sushi Joint in Norwalk a local hotspot. A diverse menu along with an impressive alcohol menus, perfect for date night. I'm a sucker for a good spot and Sushi Joint has my attention. Thank you. read more

Where do I even start?! This place is a hidden treasure! The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and honestly, they make you feel like family. There's one waitress who's practically a stand-up comedian she has my husband and me laughing every time, all while keeping it classy and professional (seriously, someone give her a mic!). Now the food fresh, delicious, and made with love. No, it's not a giant, five-star restaurant... but honestly, I'd choose this cozy spot any day over those "fancy" places that charge a fortune and serve you a meal the size of a toddler's snack. Great sushi. Worth the jaunt from Whittier. We started with the yellowtail ribs. Followed by two of their buy one get one half off selected menu rolls that are offered all day every day. The same value here would get me about 30-50% more or so somewhere else, even Cerritos or Long Beach.

kairi is just an OK ayce sushi spot with some nice decor…read more we came here on a thursday night and there was a short wait time, no problem, it passed by very quickly. their main menu has tons of variety from small plates to noodles to different types of sushi. the quality on that menu was just OK besides the premium menu options, which were really buttery and fresh. the small plates on the main menu had some hits (takoyaki and sashimi salad) and some misses (spicy garlic edamame). some of the fish in the main menu were also really grimy such as the tuna. additionally, the service here is fine. the servers are polite and only some will clear out empty plates. there are just so many ayce sushi spots in the cerritos area, so in my opinion, i would rather pay a little extra and head over to aikan or sake2me. still, it was nice to try this place out.

While I obviously knew the date, there was absolutely no indication anywhere online or during booking that happy hour would be canceled. That was really frustrating and felt misleading. If there are exceptions to regular specials, especially on a day that might bring in more customers, that should be clearly communicated ahead of time. It doesn't make sense to remove happy hour entirely without offering any alternative promotions--if anything, I would expect more incentives on a day like this. We ended up leaving without ordering because the experience started off on the wrong foot. Disappointing, especially since this has been a go-to spot for us in the past.
