Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was celebrating a birthed day and we decided this was the place for dinner. We made the right choice! The menu has changed and really focuses on sushi with a few ramen selections. The sushi rolls are terrific! We tried two new ones- the lemon sushi roll and the sake bomb. Both were really delicious! We ordered a few more rolls, and we enjoyed them as well. The sushi is fresh and the rolls are cut to be bite sized, which we really appreciated. Great place! We highly recommend. The end.

Great restaurant with incredible service. We had a party of 5 on a Saturday night and lucked out with no wait! We ordered edamame, agedashi tofu, an avocado roll, a spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, baked salmon roll, a spicy pork plate, and at least 2-3 more fresh rolls. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Located on bellflower and Stearns in the same plaza as TJs, with ample parking. Their menu is available online and up to date!

This place has the freshest sushi and sashimi in the Long Beach/Lakewood area. I live a distance from this place and love their service and menu offerings. Ambiance is that of a standard sushi bar with seats at the counter and tables for larger groups. This is a place you must try!

My wife and I were hungry and lately we have been eating more and more sushi and Mediterranean foods. We found this quiet spot in Long Beach in the Los Altos shopping center. We shared their chicken teriyaki plate and ordered their Maui rolls. We liked that the teriyaki sauce was served on the side allowing us to determine how much we wanted. It was served on a bed of shredded cabbage. The plate came with a salad and rice on the side. We also ordered their Miso soup, that really was better than other sushi restaurants. We enjoyed the Maui rolls. Just the right size and moist not dry. The fish was nicely cut. Our server was very polite and attentive. We plan to visit this location again!!

This place has a killer lunch menu tuesday-Friday 11am-2pm. I got the sushi set with a spicy tuna roll, it comes with 10 pieces of sushi. Firstly, it comes with a miso soup, which they load with red seaweed and tofu. The sushi pieces come out and it's two pieces each of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, albacore, and shrimp. The sushi pieces were a great ratio of thick slices of fish and well seasoned rice. The fish was cold and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was also actually spicy and was a balance of spicy tuna, rice, and cucumber.  Everything was delicious, and for $22, this is a great deal. Waitresses were all very very kind and I will definitely be back.

I eat a lot of sushi, and I can tell just from the first bite that this place is one of the few that truly has fresh fish and genuinely cares about quality. I'd come again whenever I crave for sushi. Service and ambiance low key give me local izakaya vibes.

Delicious as usual. We really enjoy Sushi Kinoya. This is our go-to neighborhood sushi spot. Parking is easy. The kids enjoy the udon. The hubs and I love the food. Service is always friendly. We arrived on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed that day, but it didn't hinder us from enjoying our experience. I decided to get a no-rice roll this time. Kyoto roll is now my new favorite. We also ordered agedashi tofu to start. Loved it. Portion was on the small side but tasty nonetheless. Dining room is the same as last; no frills, strip mall sushi spot template.

Such a nice and intimate spot. There was only one server at the time but he did so well to accommodate us! Food quality was good, price is average like other locations. The tempura green beans were only $3.50 as a special which was nice. Good place to try if you're in the area.

Hubby & I came here for lunch yesterday. We got seated right away since it was pretty empty. Ambiance was quiet & there was only one server but she was attentive & efficient. Our order came out pretty quick which was nice. We started off miso soup & ice cold draft beer. Then we ordered 7 pieces of nigiri & yellowtail truffle along with hot sake. Everything was good! Quality of fish was fresh & the rice to fish ratio was just about right. I'd like that their menu had wide range of options to choose from. I'd definitely like to come back to try their other nigiri & sashimi dish.

Hi! We love Sushi Kinoya! Tomorrow is our 15 year wedding anniversary and we want to come for dinner. Can we bring a bottle of champagne?

Bring it and ask, owners are awesome can't imagine why they wouldn't let you drink it.

Is this all you can eat?

No, but the portions are good for the prices.

I've had a wide range of their sushi rolls and nigiri, and they've all been amazing. Some standouts: Salmon Sample, Aburi Miso Salmon, Toro, Salmon Lemon Roll, and Yuzu Roll. My favorite appetizer is the Agedashi Tofu. The flavors are insane! They also have a "bento box" type of option where you can choose two or three items for a great price. This is a great option for non-sushi eaters and sushi eaters alike because the options include chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, tempura, and several roll options. Service is usually pretty good. I was the only patron at around 6 pm on a Wednesday night. The server was fantastic; attentive and very friendly, but the food was mediocre. For dishes I highly recommend trying the sushi nikkei tasting (they also have a sashimi tasting): the flavor profile was WILD - nothing like I've had before in the area, perhaps even riveting some well known LA/ Hollywood/Culver city areas!! Definitely distinct flavors. We also had the Acebichado Roll and Oba Roll - OMGoodness, so delish!
