My last visit to @Sushi was with my Sister a few weeks prior to Covid. This time I was attempting to escape the humidity, which proved difficult. They only have one AC, so it's best to sit close to the bar, if possible. I had the Halibut Carpaccio, Yellowtail roll, and House Spicy roll. Halibut or Catfish are my favorites, so having a carpaccio or crudo with Halibut is top tier! It was perfect in every way and spicy enough to keep me sweating. The Yellowtail was excellent and I used the ponzu & truffle oil from the carpaccio to dip the rice. I understand why they offer shooters here because I could've slammed a few ponzu shots. The sushi was delicious! Super fresh, great quality, and the fish-to-rice ratio was spot on. It's a bit on the pricier side, but that makes sense given the location and the ambiance. The service was friendly and attentive, though the kitchen was pretty slow it took about an hour for our food to come out for two people. ​I'm taking off a star mainly because I kept getting bitten by something under the table (maybe mosquitoes?). It got to the point where I almost asked for our food to go because it was so uncomfortable. I ended up counting 14 bites on my legs by the time we left. Food: The salmon is really good and tastes pretty fresh. They give good size cuts as well. A bit on the pricer side, but not bad for the quality. Ok I see why this place is so highly rated. This has become my new sushi spot. This sushi is so fresh and delicious. You can't get better in Long Beach. We got our order to go and they packaged it perfectly so the flavors didn't mix all over each other. We LOVED the nigiri. Super fresh fish. Great quality. The cut rolls were also delicious. Not a crazy amount of sauce or anything so we could enjoy all the flavors. I absolutely loved their spicy crispy tuna rice (which is not spicy at all). The shumai were the only thing that I thought could have had more flavor, but still very solid option. And of course we got the baked salmon roll which was very good if you like baked sushi. We will definitely be coming back here anytime we want sushi. The inside of the restaurant was well done, it's a nice casual spot on 2nd street so keep that in mind for parking. SO GOOD!! We stumbled upon this place and were initially attracted to the big fish inside with the many menus available for viewing on the windows. We were so happy to walk in and eat the best sushi. We were on our way to Saint & Second and as we were driving down Second St we seen @Sushi. We immediately decided we wanted sushi instead. We were all happy with this choice. This place has extremely fresh and tasty appetizers and sushi rolls. We're all definitely coming back. They have mostly inside seating but do have a small little patio. Unsure if people actually eat out there. They have a tv which was nice because we were able to catch the end of the Rams/Bears game last night. Very clean. Great Wall decor. Bathroom was clean. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. For starters we ordered Spicy Garlic Edamame, Garlic Salmon Chili, Spicy Tuna Rice Crispy, and the Shumai. Everything was delicious. They were all 10/10, but that Garlic Salmon Chili was our favorite. The 3 rolls I ordered and enjoyed eating were the Spring Roll, Cucumber Special Roll and the 911 Roll. Both were a 10/10. This is one of the best sushi spots in Belmont Shore! I've been here several times and the food is just amazing each time I go. The service is incredible, and if there's a wait they always get you in very quickly, and the charming, energetic owner always greets you and makes sure you are taken care of. There is street metered parking, or you can try to find a spot in the busy neighborhood. The ambiance inside is very quaint, upscale, and charming. Although it's a small spot it's adorable inside and seats plenty of guests. I'm a huge fan of the yellowtail sashimi and I have never gone wrong with ANY of the specialty rolls here-they are all delicious and 5/5!! I love the rainbow roll as well as some of their own special rolls. The real star is not on the menu, but please listen when I tell you to order the pickled wasabi and it will LEVEL UP your sushi experience!!! The waitress checked on us several times and was very sweet. I came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The food came out surprisingly fast. I absolutely loved the presentation of everything, especially the baked salmon roll. The food was really good and fresh as well. Definitely the best baked salmon roll I've ever had! Once again this place is the best around! The fish is so fresh and delicious. We had the heart attack appetizer, which was perfect in every way. We also had Song's special roll (He's the owner) and the Spring roll (no rice) and the baked lobster roll. I wish I had pictures, but everything was so good I couldn't wait to eat them. Best sushi in long beach! I've been here twice and there's always been little to no wait given that it's a pretty small restaurant. It's a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or night out on Belmont. We ordered the blue fin tuna, salmon tataki, hot day roll, and Long Beach roll. Wowww. I've lived in this area most my life and never been to this spot. The owner told me they've been open for around 6 years already! The fish is SO fresh! Very very clean. Yellowtail/Albacore carpaccio, blue fin tuna sashimi, salmon skin hand rolls and for their fresh rolls, we get Candy, Aloha, Paradise, Long Beach and Hot night. The Sushi rolls and hand rolls were so fresh and yummy. We ordered two hand rolls - one tuna and the other house spicy which is a combo of tuna, imitation crab and crunch. I preferred the house spicy. For the rolls we ordered the Hot Night and the baked albacore roll. The baked roll was set on fire when served and it took a minute or so to stop. The rolls hit my sushi craving! Wait time was only 5 min at 6:15pm on Friday and service was attentive.
